Does anyone know why I received one update weeks ago on this thread and then not again.
I was notified by email and checked out the latest reply and have not received one since. Has anyone else had this happen?????????

I had called to find out if I had any pins and they told me no. Needless to say a few days later I got my 40% off ANY Disney hotel. for the period after the free dining ends which is when I was looking to go. My question is is everybody looking to stay at a value resort? Everybody seems to want free dining but the 40% off a deluxe is a better deal than the dining and the moderates is roughly the same price. Had my daughter practice math a fun way by calculating it both ways to see what was cheaper and when I checked her numbers it was always cheaper at the 40% off at the moderates on up for a nice view room, just saying some people might want to look at that instead

It only updates you once until you log in and check the messages. After that, you'll get another notification for each thread you are subscribed.

I'm sure it's designed that way for two reasons:

1) to keep your inbox from overflowing
2) to make people come back to the site =)

It depends on the size of your party. For my dates 40% off of a mod would save me $68 a night . The Dining Plan would cost $117 a night for the 5 of us.

I still don't think I would want Free Dining though. I usually only make 2 or 3 ADRs for our trip. There are 10 of us total and finding a TS for every day would be a PITA.

Well I recieved a PIN on 2 of my emails about a week or two ago that said "two great deals to choose from" and it was free dining for moderates and delux only or 30% off value resorts. The only odd thing was they were for travel between Aug 15 - Oct 2. That deal is already out to the public with the value resorts included in the dining, so I'm wondering if maybe there was an error on the dates and that is actually what is suppose to be sent out for Oct-Dec.

The free dining says for Moderate, Delux or Delux Villa with a non-discounted 5 night/ 6 day Walt Disney Travel Company vacation package. It doesn't specify the number of days for park tickets. The room discount is 30% off a value resort with no minimum that I can see.

And not to mention the fact that the current public offer that I can book without a PIN is a better deal as far as including the values with free dining. That PIN is pretty useless with those dates, so I don't know what's going on. Someone had mentioned before that a CM had said some PINs went out by accident, maybe that's why.. maybe they hadn't changed the dates on them

I called to see if I could get a better deal for our dates (Oct 16-19) and there was nothing better than I had already, but then the CM asked if my dates were flexible b/c if I went on Oct 30-Nov 2 then it brought my rate down more than $300. He said it was a "special" for the end of the month. So, for just the 2 of us, that's almost like free dining...

Not sure if that means discounts are coming for late Oct? I'd really like to keep my original dates, but I'd also like to save some money!

Does anyone have an educated guess as to what the dates might be for the extended free dining in Dec? What would be the last day check in for free dining? What was last year's dates? If you check in on last day will it be good for your entire trip?

I certainly have not seen a PIN since I seem to be on the NO PIN list at Disney........

But I'd wager to say that if they offer it, you would have to check in by the 16th. That's the last night of value season in the hotel rates.

That would be just my luck, both my wife and I recieved those emails twice each within a week of each other. We are still patiently waiting for something to come up for our trip from Oct 15-24.

We will book the POP with the dining plan by the 10th regardless, and change if something comes up. If the dining plan does get extended, even if only to mod/deluxe, we'll upgrade to ine of the Orleans if possible, we'd still save.

Someone on the dining board posted that she was sent one via email that is for all resorts value included up until dec 24th. She posted the email with snow white on it! So be on the look out DISers! I think thanksgiving is a black out date though!


Cant wait to hopefully see snow white in my email!!!! Fingers crossed!

Last year was December 18 or 17. I believe this year to be Dec 16 or 17

Is the Snow White one for FD? I got a SnowWhite PIN on May 10th that was for those dates, but it was a room only code: 30% (Value and Mods) / 40% (Dlx and Villas). Unfortunately it was only good for two weeks and was before I was even thinking about Disney this fall...
