Hi all! Okay, so can I tell you that life is amazing and that it can take quick turns and if you aren't looking they can really give you whip lash. Well, that is what has happened to us today. You see, the adoption was not going to happen. So we went to Disney World instead, we got our home ready to go on the market and the realtor was coming over Monday night (Labor Day) for us to sign the papers to put the pretty sign up in our yard. So, obviously those weren't the plans that the good Lord wanted for us. You see, today was the very (and I mean very) last day that any referrals could be given out. We weren't getting one at this late in time. WRONG. At about 11:30am this morning we were introduced (by pictures) to the most beautiful child in the world! AND she was ours. No strings attached. Paperwork attached but not much. Can I just say WOW! We are still kinda shocked about all of this but none-the-less very excited. What's funny is, we got rid of all our baby things (thankfully except our stroller, car seats and baby gates). Clothes you ask, well we handed over newborn to 4T size clothes to a program at our church that gives them to those that need them. I only kept a couple of each size that meant something to me. OYE!

So this beautiful little girl who will be called Katelin was born on June 15, 2008. Yes she's only 2-1/2 mos. old. She will most likely be about 4-5 months when we receive her. We will travel probably late October or late November to Vietnam and stay for about 2-3 weeks.

So many changes to be had but we're extremely excited. Anyway, I wanted to share with everyone. I wanted to post another message with a picture of Katelin and a couple of pics of Lil at WDW but for some reason I can't figure out how to do so. So it'll have to wait cause it's late and I'm now extremely tired from all this drama today. Tomorrow is another day. Until then! Kristi

WOW!! Congratulations Kristi!!! See God works in mysterious ways. You did a great deed by giving to the Church and some needy family really needed those clothes. So God realized what a giving family you are and in turn gave you Katlin!

Hey all! Love the pics Lisa! Things are crazy around here. Just got the last of the paperwork out by fed ex to Vietnam! Yippeeee. It takes 4-5 days for it to arrive and once there our 45-90 day wait begins. That is work days folks. I'm praying for the 45 days or less. Anyway, I'm also dreaming of our wonderful cruise next year! I could use a vacation right now. Yes I know I just came back from WDW. But I want more. As soon as we get home from Vietnam I'll have to add a 4th person to our reservation. Hmmmmm, do you think it might boot us up a level in rooms? Hmmmm, that'd be cool with me. Heee Heee Alright my heads outta the clouds now. I'm back to reality. Anyway, I was thinking that now would be a great time to really start thinking of some great names for our group. I'd love it if we could find names that our kids would love as well. Start thinking and I'll do the same. I liked some of the cute ones we talked about early on in our thread so I'll add those to the list. THen in about a month we can vote. I figured by the end of this month beginning of next month we should really start to see a rise in the amount of people joining this thread for our cruise. Hey Guys, I have taken new photos of my family but I am having a hard time posting them. I still cant figure it out . Lisa, if I do the photo bucket thing again can you fix it so they show up on this thread instead of having to go to a different site to see them? I promise I will learn how to do it someday.

Lisa--I'm glad Fay has passed. Is Hannah coming your way? What a Florida welcome!

I've been busy with back to school stuff...my oldest started high school, so I have been a taxi driver for the last two weeks. My youngest, Bailey turned 4 today. So we only have one family member left, Riley, who has two birthdays before we go on our cruise. Riley's birthday is Sept. 16th. I am so excited that in one month and one day we can say that we are going in less than a year!

Looks like Hannah is going to miss us and hit my sister and parents instead They are in NC.

You'll need to upload them to a site where they can be shared.

I think there is a space here on the dis but I've never used it.

I like photobucket - they provide you with the img code needed to post here. Just copy the code (starts with [ img] and ends with [ /img] - no spaces) and paste in your message.

Sites like Snapfish and Kodak don't allow you to post elsewhere.

Well now that I know how to do this, sort of, I went and tried to find a picture of me...do you know that of all our pictures I am in almost none of them. But I did find one of me with Bailey, and Riley at the Zoo...

Hi everyone, not sure how to do the photo thing, do i have to have photo bucket or can I use another? Also How bout something like
"Changes in Latitude, Changes in Attitude" ? Just thought I would throw it out there figured with the kids if change the latitude you know they get better attitudes on the cruise as they are all happy and excited.
