For the boys? That sounds like everything I'm going to be doing! If only there was a term for stuffing my face with a "zing" at the end. That would just about cover everything.
Has anyone noticed that our thread is up to double digits in it's number of pages? No, just me, ok.

I love the names for the door too!! I got my request in early, it was right after she started her thread. I think I was on page 3, and now there's over 30 pages. By the by, my husband was looking over my shoulder last night while I was looking at pictures people had posted of their doors and he goes, "your not going to do that to our door". I thought to myself, hmm worst case cenario I could just do it to the girls door, since we will have two staterooms. I'm sure I'll break him down by then though.

Hey dismom73! Tell your husband to just go with the flow. My husband didn't get it when I spent evenings all the way up to the night before we left chatting with whoever was online and he didn't understand the need for the t-shirts that I just had to make or the paper chain or the door magnets. HOWEVER, even he admitted after the entire thing was over that it was all wonderful and he enjoyed everything that we did and he was glad he helped with some of the things and he was just fine with the magnets for the door. basically, the moment he looked at our DD's face and the joy she had with everything, the happier he was. So just suggest your husband to embrace the entire experience. Tell him to get his money worth.

As for the name. Very fun. I think, however, that we should put a name together that would work for all of us, including the kiddos. We can just call it that on the side as we're sitting back having our drinks.

Let's get down to work on a name. Yes I'm "off duty" as your fearless leader right now but every now and then I just have to break away from the stress. If we can agree to an official name for our group by the next month or so, we can then start working on our logo.

Sorry for not keeping up to date. I hope you all are well. I must confess, I did not read all of the posts since last time I posted...sorry. My kids and I went to Disneyland in June, so I thought I would share some of our pictures. Funny how I am not in any? How many groups do we have on this thread that will be on the cruise? Yes, I would like to know how many groups we have too. I am not sure how the groups break down. I guess we are in the group with out kids going along. We will be celebrating our 25th anniversary during the cruise, so I guess that is the group we are in. We have never cruised before so we will be new to it all, but no means new to disney. Looking forward to it all , alot to learn yet. Love to watch the kids with the characters though does bring back memories! Keep up the thread and ideas!!

Thanks for doing that Diva16! We do have quiet the little group going ! Like you said I am sure as we get closer more will join. I have a question what is the date first time cruisers can make our excursion/palo reservations. I am thinking it will me midnight on 7-20-09? I know its a long way off, but as most of you are I love to plan ahead. Just wondering I will be out of town that day , coming home to philly from St clairsville, OH and was hoping maybe I was wrong. I could stay up at the hotel and do it, but i am going with friends and didnt want to keep them up. If so guess I wiill have to take my laptop into the bathroom to book palo at least!!

Kristi, you guys must be getting really excited! Your trip to WDW is coming us fast. I hope you guys have a really good time. Are you going to be doing a trip report? You know, in your spare time. If not, you'll have to give us a mini-report when you get back.

I'm not at all creative, so I can't think of any names. I'll just vote on the ones you guys come up with. I'll ask my Dsil if she can come up with any. She has been lurking lately and is thinking of joining. Chalk up another Disney convert for me! Like I said before, they have never really done the park vacation, so after this cruise I hope to have them just as addicted and obsessed as me, ok, almost as addicted and obsessed as me.

Hey DisMom! Yes our trip is coming up really fast. This Thursday we leave to head down to Maryland to a hotel near the BWI airport. We officially leave early in the morning on Friday. We can't wait. Boy have we earned it!

As for a trip report, I most likely won't be doing one. HOWEVER, you can rest assured that I will share lots with you all when we get back. I'll even learn how to post a pic or two for your entertainment. We have two cool events for our DD to do while there. On the 7th my DD turned 6. So, this trip is kinda a birthday present. We have scheduled for her on the 19th a Princess dinner with Pocohantos, Sleeping Beauty, Ariel, Belle, Alice In Wonderland and Jasmine. She is VERY into the Princesses and her favorite right now is Ariel. She has no clue about this so she is going to be soooo excited. AND, because she will be dining with royalty, we made an appointment for her at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique to get her hair and makeup done. She's already got a princess outfit. She's got a georgous Mulan outfit. Fitting for a beautiful Vietnamese child. Sooo she's going to be soooooooooooooo soooooo excited.

We put our house on the market on Tuesday before we leave so we're really crazy around here. We will certainly have earned this vacation. Please pray that our home sells quickly.

As for names for our group, when I get back and things have settled for a short period of time (before the real move whenever that may be), I'll post all the names that people have suggested and we can all narrow them down to 3 of them to officially choose from.

I can guarantee that I won't have time between now and our trip to write to you all so please know that I will think of each and every one of you while on our WDW trip and will talk to you all when I get back! Kristi

Hey all! I wanted to touch base with you once more before we leave. Life has been so hectic around our home. Last night at 7:30pm we made the decision to just wait to put the house on the market at the beginning of September (our original thought). We just had too much left to do and we didn't want to do it half way. Sooo, now we're working hard on finishing up all the laundry that got backlogged cause of the house work and we pack tomorrow. It's hard to believe that Thursday after work we head outta here. Thank you goes out to my BFF for taking care of my kitty. Give her lots of love!

You all hang in there while I'm gone, don't get into too much trouble now. HEEE HEEE I'll touch base with you all when I return and hopefully I'll have figured out how to post a pic or two for your viewing pleasure.

I hope you have a great time! I'm trying not to be jealous, really I'm trying! When you check in at CS see if you can get a corner room. We had a regular one, but my parents were right next door to us and they had a corner room and it really does look more open because of that extra window. Go down the Jaguar water slide for me, it really is fun! We can't wait to hear all about it when you get back.
I'm glad you feel good about your plan with the house. September is right around the corner, so it will get here fast. Good luck with the laundry, I know how it can be when you get behind on that! I'm the type of person that can't even begin to start packing until ALL the laundry is done.

OK, I have a question for everyone...Has anyone else used Dreams Unlimited to book your cruise? We did, two cabins, and when I log onto their site it shows me our two Disney reservation ID's so I can go to DCL site and pull up our reservation. Well only the first of the two numbers works, when I try to pull up the second reservation it says, "Please enter a valid reservation number". I've tried calling Disney, they refer me to DU, I've e-mailed DU and they e-mailed back saying they called Disney and everything checks out fine. I'm at a loss for what to do, I only have like 11 months until I can book Palo, I don't want to miss my window . OK, so I have time, but I'm just trying to pull up our resi on DCL site and I can't! Any ideas?

Well we are mostly unpacked here in Florida. We've already been to WDW for a day and got our FL Res APs. Now we are waiting for the arrival of Fay.

Work has been cancelled for tomorrow already - essential personnel only are ogin in.

We're still hoping to go to AK this weekend if the weather lets up.

I think need to watch the news here more - I learn more about the weather on the Dis than I do locally

We're so used to living with no weather (San Diego) we don't thnk to watch local news.

And though Tropical Storm Gustav is hundreds of miles from Florida, its five-day forecast cone could spell trouble for South Florida and the Keys during the tourist-heavy Labor Day weekend.

As the day went on, computer models shifted Gustav's projected path more to the west - making South Florida a less likely target but still within the forecast cone, which is subject to wide margins of error.

Maybe it will miss you guys completely. One can only hope!!!!

That sounds like we will be ok (we're NE Florida) though we might get some of the outer bands of rain.

Hi everyone! We're back! We had a great time at WDW despite the rain. I'm pretty much caught up at work now and we're almost caught up (and done) with our house chores so we can put the house on the market the beginning of next week. Hi all! Okay, so can I tell you that life is amazing and that it can take quick turns and if you aren't looking they can really give you whip lash. Well, that is what has happened to us today. You see, the adoption was not going to happen. So we went to Disney World instead, we got our home ready to go on the market and the realtor was coming over Monday night (Labor Day) for us to sign the papers to put the pretty sign up in our yard. So, obviously those weren't the plans that the good Lord wanted for us. You see, today was the very (and I mean very) last day that any referrals could be given out. We weren't getting one at this late in time. WRONG. At about 11:30am this morning we were introduced (by pictures) to the most beautiful child in the world! AND she was ours. No strings attached. Paperwork attached but not much. Can I just say WOW! We are still kinda shocked about all of this but none-the-less very excited. What's funny is, we got rid of all our baby things (thankfully except our stroller, car seats and baby gates). Clothes you ask, well we handed over newborn to 4T size clothes to a program at our church that gives them to those that need them. I only kept a couple of each size that meant something to me. OYE!

So this beautiful little girl who will be called Katelin was born on June 15, 2008. Yes she's only 2-1/2 mos. old. She will most likely be about 4-5 months when we receive her. We will travel probably late October or late November to Vietnam and stay for about 2-3 weeks.

So many changes to be had but we're extremely excited. Anyway, I wanted to share with everyone. I wanted to post another message with a picture of Katelin and a couple of pics of Lil at WDW but for some reason I can't figure out how to do so. So it'll have to wait cause it's late and I'm now extremely tired from all this drama today. Tomorrow is another day. Until then! Kristi
