Calgon......

I worked this morning and it was so hot there and I was so busy I got a headache which I still have.
I had to stop at the vet after work. I picked up Jazzy's new medicine and talked to the vet about a new problem he is having. It is gross, so I won't say. She told me to try pepcid. She will call on Monday to see how he is. He is falling apart before my eyes.
Meanwhile, Jerry's mom calls at 3:30 to say Cuddles needs to be put down and could we do it this evening. The vet closes at 6P. It takes about an hour to get to his mom's and thern another 1/2 hour to get her and the dog out of the house and another 1/2 hour to the vet. His brother won't do it. I didn't get up from my nap until 4P. Kaleigh had baseball at 5:30P. I called the vet to explain the situation hoping they could stay open a little later. Nope. We are scheduled tomorow at noon, but that probably isn't going to happen either. I am taking Kaleigh for baseball pictures at 10 and Jerry has to stay home and wait for the fridge guy. It was suppoed to be between 8A and noon, but we got a call this evening saying between 8A and 5 Pm. My fridge is at 60. The freezer is still cold, but it is starting to get warmer.
We got dumped on with rain again. At least it was after baseball.
We had to stop at Target for the pepcid and Home Depot for some stuff after baseball.
I had to get Kaleigh a bath so she is clean for pictures tomorrow.

We so wanted Jerry's mom to have Cuddles put down around Easter. She refused after we said it, the vet said it and Jerry's brother said it. She thought she would get better. Now that she can't move and can't pee, we have to drop everything and take her.

At least Jazz fells ok. He was just in here chasing Hera. He is eating fine and drinking.

I need a drink!

I got your call Julie and thanks.

Oh Denine, what a horrible, horrible day.....and tomorrow. You deserve a case of Calgon! Hang in there. It will get better.

Good morning. Heidi is on the way to the Port. I got a cute picture of the girls in the limo.

We are going to my nephews graduation party this afternoon. We are down at the campground and have to head back up to the house. The party is at the park next to Columbine and you know how close I live to that. Oh well, I got to play with Tyler and Joey last night and then again tonight.

Happy Birthday and Anniversary and Bon Voyage. I hope you have a wonderul time.

Hope Jazzy is better soon.

Denine and Julie - We will be at Kent State July 23-26. I still don't have any more details than that. I'll keep you posted.

I finally replace my old van. I got a 2006 Town & Country van. I got a really good deal on it and I really wanted another van. I'm too cheap to buy new since we will put so many miles on it fast.

Turner has exams this week and then school will be out for the summer. He is going to ber a camp counselor again this summer at the ice rink. He gets to have fun and get paid doing it.

We are going to Myrtle Beach July 4-11 and I can not wait. I really need a vacation.

I letting Turner bring his girlfriend but I have the sleeping arrangements strictly identified and there will be many rules that they must follow. Hailey has been out of town with us one other time for a hockey weekend in Nashville. It worked out very well and they were never alone.

Well, just wanted to check in and let you all know I am still around (even if I can't post often).

Love you all!

Good to hear from you Susan. Glad you got that van. I certainly agree and so do the experts that someone that puts the miles on their cars don't need to buy new. We took a DCL vacation with Heidi and boyfriend one time. It worked out without a hitch. You will have a blast. Turner's job sounds PERFECT for him.

Man, we had a storm and a half this afternoon at the campground. Left Denver with a few clouds and once we got half way here it turned black and the clouds burst. Scary bananas!!

Heidi is on her way. I had a few phone calls and one I was too late to hear the ships horn.

I need more calgon...

I took Kaleigh to pictures. No problem. I came home and was walking around the car to go into the house and fell. My ankle turned on the lip of the garage floor. I went down like a rock and scraped up my knee and leg pretty good.
Jerry called his mom to say he couldn't take Cuddles. He just wouldn't get there in time. So, it is now scheduled for Monday.
We worked in the yard all day waiting for the fridge guy.
The garden is like mud soup from all the rain. I was on the edge of the garden putting sand from Kaleigh's sand box to help with drainage. My foot slipped on the wet grass and I sat on my butt and my foot went right into the mud and sank. I now had a mud covered foot and a dirty butt. Jerry rinsed my foot off with the hose.
I cut the back grass or should I say swamp with all the standing water.

My horoscope said to relax today cause I don't know what the next few days will bring. That sounds ominous!

So, the fridge guy was supposed to be here between 8 A and 5 P. He got here around 4:30. He wasn't here long cause he can't fix the problem. He needs to order a part which he will have shipped here. He will be back on Wednesday (1 week after we called) to fix the fridge.

We did go back up to Lowe's. I bought a river birch for under $10. I am putting it in the back where I can't grow anything due to the wet. We transplanted a little tree from the side to the spot that keeps killing trees. I didn't realize until we had it dug up that it was a Hawthorne. They die within minutes (literally) of being dug out of the ground. It will be completely shriveled by morning. I don't know why. The river birches like water.

We are going to watch the Cavs and Indians tonight.

Sandy: Is Heidi on a 4 day or 7 day cruise? How was the graduation party?

We will work in the yard again tomorrow.

Hi Susan!

OMG Denine. I can't believe your day. What else can go wrong? Hope your Cavs win. At least that would make up for a crummy day!

Talk about rain here today. It poured and I mean POURED after we got back to the campground from the party. At least it went great. We did a great job of keeping Tyler side tracked from the food. Do you realize that everything we humans do is based around food????

Oh and Heidi is on a 7 day. They will stay in FL afterwards for about 5 days and visit with Chris's family.

Ok just lost a HUGE post......

I hate that! I will have to post it again later. Just wanted to let you know Sandy that Garry and I saw Heidi and family leave today. They left about 10 mins early.

Well, gonna run!

I will try to find that post.......

Hey, I didn't fall today!

Still busy in the yard.

The Cavs lost, so we are out of it.

It is chilly today.

Sandy: Yes, everything we do revolves around food.

I am sore from my first tumble yesterday.

My horoscope today said I need to find a stress buster for the next few MONTHS! I don't wanna know!

Gotta go get dinner ready.

Denine, STEP AWAY FROM THE HOROSCOPE READING!!!!! Sorry to hear that you are sore today but not surprised. Take a day off!!!!!!

Julie, how cool that you watched them sail away. I didn't even think about it. DUH!!

Sandy: That is the funny thing. I almost never read my horoscope and Jerry is the one that read it to me yesterday.

Gotta take Jerry's mom's dog to the vet this evening to have her put down.

It is thundering and starting to rain again.

We did get the garden planted yesterday.

Still sore today.

Man, you guys are getting the rain like we are. It seems to be following Ted and I here. In Monument it was a heavy downpour. Then last night here at the house it rained cats and dogs. The lightning was horrendous. Watched the 10 o'clock news and it said that we got 1.64 inches by then and it was still raining. The areas around us were getting sprinkles. Suppose to rain more tonight. I don't know where it is going to go. The ground is saturated.

Denine, I feel sorry for you guys having to take in Jerry's moms dog. It isn't an easy task no matter who it belongs to!

Julie, doing the last minute things?

Looks like both the cavs and nuggets are out. Oh well, another year.

Hi guys! Sandy, you guessed it. I'm doing last minute things before the big day!:cool1: BUT it's mostly the end of the year activities at school. We were busy last week with Field day at the school. It's an entire day of events that the kids do and then it ends with a water balloon toss and then an awards assembly. Each student gets a "field day dog tag" ( they are doing this dog tag thing, they get a chain and a welcome to school tag when they enter kindergarten and with each event or good report cards, they get new ones. Right now I think Makenzie has over 40 tags and they didn't start it til she was in Third grade and G Dog was in 1st. He's got about 30). G Dog got a ribbon for the cup stacking race and Makenzie and her friend got a ribbon for the water balloon toss. They were the only girls left in the toss for the 4th grade class! They hand out ribbons for 1st-6th places. There is a t ball hit, soft ball throw, soccer kick, 50 yd dash.... all sorts of things! The kids LOVE it!

Yesterday, Garry and I went to the Indians games yesterday and boy did he get sunburned! It was cool, but a wonderful sunny day! I think Denine must be getting more rain just a few miles west of us because we haven't been dumped on like her. I really think Denine and Jerry have a good lawsuit against their developer since they must have know of the drainage problems in the backyards since they put drains between the yards and it still does nothing. We had a Major rain here last week one day, but for the most part each day has been sunny! I know they are reporting that we were at "normal" for rain fall in the month of May. I'm thinking the clouds just love to rain on Denine's house.;)

Well, just 9 more days!!!!:cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1: I can't wait! I've got most of the kids clothes out and ready to go into the suitcases and the same with Garry's clothes. Mine will be ready by the middle of the week. I think I'm pretty much done with that! The only thing I have to do is finalize who is watching what animal! Did I tell you we now have a frog, Hoppy? Makenzie went to COSI it's a science center with the girl scouts in April for an overnigter and each girl got aa tadpole to take home with them. SO, she has raised this tadpole into a "almost" frog! I think she is the only girl scout in the troop that's frog is still alive! The cat will be easy to have someone come in and feed, it's the dog..... we are trying to figure out what to do with him. My mom's knee is really killing her so I really don't want her to more then she has to. I'll get it all figured out.

Well, gotta run. I'll be back later!

TTFN

Julie: I know I saw the rain total in the paper the next morning after one of our dumpings and it said .3". I said yeah right! It had to have been closer to an inch with just that dumping. I know the storms have been scattered. It was raining so hard those days you couldn't see outside!

Sandy: I don't feel bad about taking Cuddles. She has been suffering for so long now. I just want to see her at peace. It is Jerry's mom that is going to be a basketcase.

It is hard to believe, but I am not jealous of Julie going to WDW. I am just happy to be home and getting some things done for a change. Ask me in another month though!

Kaleigh has games tomorrow and Wednesday evening.

We are hoping to go see UP on Thursday at the drive-in. Star Trek is the 3nd feature and Jerry wants to see that too. I may have to bring a pillow. I only have 1 day of work this month which is fine by me. I am so far behind in getting things done around the house.

We are just about done with school. I will finish this week. Kaleigh still has
2nd grade math to finish though.

Jazzy is doing better with his new problem. It was apparantly coused by nausea. The pepcid is helping. The vet called me this morning to see how he was. We are keeping him on the pepcid and she will call me again Friday to check on the colitis. It takes more than a few days for the probiotics to work on the tummy.

We defrosted the fridge last night which meant everything was back in coolers. It is not defrosting properly so ice is building up and causing it not to cool. It is working again and everthing is back in. Hopefully it will continue to work until Wednesday when the part gets replaced.

Julie, how cute raising her "tadpole". I am sure she is proud of her accomplishment. I like the idea of the "dog tag". It is something for the kids to strive for like in girl scouts and cub scouts. Ted never use to be a burner but he is the worst now. It's because of his cholesterol drug. Is Garry one something to make him burn so bad?

Denine, at least you feel good about taking the dog. I couldn't do it, I just couldn't. Even if it is right, Ted would have to do it. I believe in it but can't take them in. Just me.

Our local schools got out last week.

Busy doing laundry. Got a shipment today of Costa Rican hot chocolate, nuts and candies. Wish Ted was home so I could open something. LOL

Does a mother's maiden name of McCall mean anything?

This is going to be a LONG week with Disney World looming next week!

Hope everyone is doing well and Heidi is enjoying her cruise. :boat:

First off, I saw I had a typo. :rolleyes1 Is Garry "on" not one". Oops. Sure quote me when I make a mistake. :rotfl2:Second, sad to say, but McCall doesn't help:confused3 but I'm guessing you'll be burning at WDW.

Thanks for pointing your mistake out for me!

McCall...my grandfather was from Ireland...they are notorious for being fair skinned. :sunny:

:rolleyes:Great, I could have gotten by with that typo.

Everyone thinks that I am Irish with my fair skin but nope, 99% Scandinavian. When in Costa Rica, a very nice black lady that I was talking to asked me if I was malato (sp), half black, half white. Where she got that is beyond me!:confused3:rotfl2: I took it that I had a good tan going.:lmao:
