FRIDAY's until we sail :boat:

We're down in the 40's now :rotfl: Time is ticking away::yes::

Hope everyone has a safe Halloween.

Please correct me if I am wrong but I think we have 351 days to go until the Magic therefore we would have 50 weeks to go.

I counted the Friday before the cruise as a ZERO Friday. . . I agree that you are "technically" correct :cutie:

But once we get to Friday, October 15, 2010, we have ZERO Friday's to wait ;)
:dance3:

I can adjust the countdown if people would like

Good to hear from you TIGGER/POOH4 :yay: It's been awhile.

Thanks. It is good to be back. We were on the Magic just two weeks ago (on an Eastern-St Croix) and miss it already. I guess our bonus was seeing the Wonder as we docked in PC. Actually we offered to just stay in the lifeboats but they still said it is time to go. If anyone has any questions or pictures from the Magic or the Western (we were on one in 5/08), please let me know.
Can't wait to see this again in 531 days as this will be the beginning of another cruise.

I for one think 49 sounds much better than 50... LOL .... I can't wait until it says like 2...then I can start packing!:laundy::cheer2:

So have you guys checked out the Dream? AquaDuck looks really cool. Some of the interior pics look beautiful. Maybe DH and I will love our first Disney cruise on the Magic, we will book Dream on board...ah, it's nice to dream.:)

We were looking at it this morning. It looks incredible! DS is ready to go on it and go on that gorgeous AquaDuck. We are planning on a trip in 2011. Just have to decide if we want to do 4 night or 5 night :thumbsup2

Happy Halloween everyone! Boo To You!

Happy Halloween Everyone:stir:

My husband and son have gone out trick or treating while I'm home handing out candy and getting ready for our Halloween party.

Be safe

Another successful Halloween. It's a street party over here with all the kids running up and down. DS got lots of good candy. I'm glad I trained him to pick out the candies that I like :lmao: And our neighbors were way too generous with the chocolate. But someone did take our Halloween decorations off our front lawn while we were trick or treating.

Anyone on Facebook? Would love to see pictures.

I know, I know, it's been awhile since I last posted. It's been crazy around here for the past week. We got some sad news last week-end. Our Granddaughter Emily, who has gone on all of our vacations with us since she was born, who has cruised the high seas with us on Disney's great ships, will not be able to cruise with us next year. DW and I as you can imagine are very upset about this.:sad::sad: She is struggling with school this year and next year won't be any easier for her. So it would not be fair to her to take her out of school for that long and put her further behind in her school work. So DW and I decide we are going to cancel this Disney cruise and plan on taking a cruise on one of Disney's new ships during school break in 2011 or more than likely it will be 2012 on the Disney new ship The Fantasy. We have seen the pictures of the Dream and it looks fantastic!!! We know we definitely have to sail on one of the new ships. So folks we are bidding ado to ya'll.
DW and I are planning on sailing on the Royal Caribbean Oasis of the Seas next year. We wanted to sail on that ship anyway and check it out, so I guess this will be a good time to do just that. So it will be just DW:scared1: and I all by ourselves:scared1::scared1:. I won't have the kid to hold in front of me as a buffer zone between me and DW:scared1::scared1::scared1:
We hope ya'll have a great time and a great cruise. It's been fun getting to know each and everyone of ya'll.

David, sorry to hear your granddaughter is having a hard time at school. School is sometimes so hard. And I'm sorry to hear you won't be joining us on this cruise. I was really enjoying all your posts. Well, maybe we will be on the same cruise again in 2011 since we are looking into 2011 Dreams.

Hope to meet you on another cruise.

I'm sorry to hear your GD is having a tough time in school. I think your making the right choice to wait and take her out over spring break. I will however miss your funny posts and great sense of humor.:sad::sad:
You've made a lot of people on this board smile with your daily posts. You will be missed. Drop in if you can from time to time and say hi.

Did everyone have a good Halloween weekend?

It was warmer than I expected…in the 60’s which made it nice for trick or treating. DD2.5 had such a good time trick or treating…she was so cute in her bear costume. We ended up going all the way around the block. There were a lot of people out. Min’s honey pot bucket filled up quickly and we offered to hold it for her because we figured it was getting heavy but she would NOT let go of it because it was hers. She carried it all the way around the block and used both hands to lift it up to get the treats because it was too heavy. When we got home, we managed to convince her to let go of it so we could check the candy…it was very heavy.

She didn’t seem to be afraid of any of the scary looking costumes and for the most part wasn’t afraid of the decorations with exception to a few particularly spooky looking houses where she approached more cautiously but when she saw me walk ahead up to the door she felt it was safe and followed along.

There was one little boy in a cute penguin costume that was actually afraid of my DD’s bear costume. She stopped and said to him, “It’s just Minuette”, trying to reassure him that she was not really a bear…it was so cute.

Does anyone have an idea of how the dining rotation typically works on a 7 day?

If we elect not to do excursions, are we going to be bored? With an 8 month old, I just worry it will be too difficult to do an excursion...

I know there is a nursery for your 8 month old…I think it is $6.00 per hour? I think you can use the time that the little one is in the nursery to go ashore? :confused3There are more experienced Disney cruisers on this thread that can shed more light on your questions.

I am an experienced cruiser but this will be my first Disney cruise. Like other cruise lines, they have activities during the day even when you are in port, though the activities may be a little more limited, so you have something to do. Also, it’s a great time to enjoy an un-crowded pool and deck.

We are traveling with DD who will be 3.5 at the time of the cruise. We haven’t decided what to do yet except, because we have a child, we don’t feel comfortable going off on our own at the ports like we usually do. We have already been to Cozumel and Grand Cayman so we aren’t in a big hurry to go ashore. Cozumel has a nice pretty little shopping area right off the pier so we may get off and look around there and then get right back on the ship. We aren’t sure how much DD will want to use the kids club…we’ll just have to play it by ear.

Hope you have a wonderful cruise! :) It’s still such a long time away.

Yep, the nursery is $6/hr. We can prebook up to 10 hours before we cruise. Meredith (dd) will be almost 4 when we sail--her birthday is mid-November. Hopefully we can convince her to pottytrain by then! :cheer2: She will do it at daycare no problem, but at home...Nope. *sigh* Otherwise we will have 2 kids in the nursery. :scared1: Hopefully she will be in the kids club. You're right, we have almost a year to get there.

We are working on the potty training too and are hoping she is fully trained by the cruise. She is so close and has been close for a while...she's just being stubborn. We told her she needs to be fully potty trained to dance with Snow White in the kids club. She likes to ask to use the potty at restaurants...usually just before or just after the food comes. Sometimes at home she asks and even insists on doing it herself but other times when we ask her, she insists she doesn't have to go then goes in her diaper. We give her stickers and tatoos when she does go in the potty. We still aren't pushing really hard because we figure when she is ready, she will let us know but she is so close, it's frustrating. Because of her stubborn nature, I'm afraid if we push too hard, she will just become even more stubborn and refuse to use the potty at all.
