Good grief. Why would anyone take a single source report like this as the gospel any more. And that's not a knock against Andria Mitchell in particular.

It wasn't all that long ago that the media whipped us into a frenzy of relief that a group of miners had survived a cave in, when in fact, they were all dead.

And then there's the Katrina media fiasco.

In situations like this (breaking news stories) they are more often than not reporting rumors and heresay, not facts.

All I said was she thought it would be Biden, she did not say it as fact. You may not agree with her opinion but I think it's an informed one. Maybe you just misunderstood my post, she did not say that Biden had been chosen, just that she thought he was the one. Not gospel, just her opinion.

I think you misunderstood my post. I get that her Biden comment was her opinon. I was talking about her reporting on the fake bumper sticker. It very well may be a fake (and certainly, if Biden IS the candidate, it is). But I wouldn't take that reporting as fact, unless she's willing to back it up with sources. And as I said before, that's not a slam against Andrea Mitchell, in particular. The media gets this kind of stuff wrong all the time. That's why I prefaced this thread with "maybe a headfake, or erroneous".
