Polynesian Tower theme park view

I think the easiest fix is label like the Duo Studio. Change Theme Park to Premium. Might get a good view towards Magic Kingdom. Might not.

None. You may have been able to see some of the higher fireworks over the Grand Floridian and its trees. But we didn’t bother.
That’s completely unsat and I hope you (as I would’ve) gave Disney hell for it.
It’s called Theme Park View, not “nighttime spectacular” view.

unless you do what they did with boardwalk view and split it off. 1 category of theme park that you can actually see the theme park and one for premium where you can see the fireworks.

when SS, BLT, and AKL made the changes were they already sold out?

I just got off the phone with member services, and they informed me that any room with even a partial view of the theme park, no matter how slight, qualifies as a theme park room. I mentioned Bay Lake Tower and noted that some Lake View rooms have a partial theme park view and how they have reclassified theme park view to standard view. I also pointed out that the views from floors 1 to 3 are obstructed by the wedding pavilion, the Grand Floridian, and surrounding trees. She said she'd pass along my concerns, although she mentioned she hasn't received complaints about the views from the tower, to which I responded that since it recently opened, and that other guests have already voiced their concerns online.

I also would ask, what should I reuest
Touring Plans has the accurate info on room categories and yes, those handful of rooms on the “north” end like that are TPV and have been questioned by many who followed the Tower closely. In fairness your first pic looking straight off your balcony does have a very good view of the MK entrance, Tron, Space Mountain, and you can see the castle just over the GF building, and your other pics are more looking to the left. Personally I’m more worried about the rooms below you and low floor rooms on the lagoon side that are also categorized as TPV - those to me are going to really push people’s limits, in my opinion.

I was just there and had and 8th floor TPV room that faced the lagoon, no doubt it was a materially better angle than your first room. So yes, not all TPV rooms are going to be equal, for better or worse. My personal count is it’s roughly 80-85% quality TPV rooms, and 15-20% potentially questionable ones.

I suspect this won’t be the first post like this over time as more people start to experience the tower.

That said, glad you seem to like your new room better. Enjoy your Tower stay - we loved it.
I have a subscription to Touring plans. Can you tell me where exactly they give info on PIT theme park view rooms? Is there an article, or did you just look at the views in the room finder? Thank you!

I shared my feedback on the first floor, theme park view rooms with DVC along with a list of problems in that specific room.

I hate to be that person and It probably won't help, but then again, how are they supposed to know if you don't tell them?

I'm a little annoyed I didn't receive a Disney Parks Survey for my stay at Island Tower. In my past experience with an incident at Wilderness Lodge, they do take that survey very seriously.

For some reason, I only seem to receive the Parks survey for Riviera stays and none of the other DVC resorts.

Why don't they just build a Pirates of the Carribean DVC resorts just south of the ride with direct park access?

Thanks for doing that.

Expect more of this BS view category with future DVCs. Disney is gonna inflate those point charts one way or the other. Greed is the name of the game now. They must feel like they are giving the rooms away at the Beach Club and Boardwalk with some of their low point seasons.

The only wya we can ever expect to see changes is if people are willing to respectfully express their feedback and concerns. If more and more people voice complaints it may generate enough evidence for them to make adjustments.

We booked a TPV, Deluxe Studio for mid December, im interested to see what we get and I have no issues detailing feedback in a fact based respectful manner to them. But also secretly hope for a high floor with an amazing view! 🤣

The major adjustment they need to make is to quit with this BS with future DVC resorts.

Wonder just how many different views they will come up with for LSLodge?🤔Screenshot_20250127_134748_Chrome.jpg

I guess its too much to expect some quality control from DVC. small hiccups I can see but your honestly telling me that they didnt know the 1st floor you cant see any theme park when there are walk ways right in front of the rooms?

My biggest issue is the damage is already done. The losers in this situation are us the owners. Disney gets their total points no mater what. They will just re-adjust the other categories to make up if they recategorize.

I dont think DVC is an evil machine trying to extract every last point they can. I think multiple people dropped the ball and didnt take into account GF or the Chapple.

With two failed lock off premium attempts, I do believe they are trying to extract every last point they can. They weren't attempting such for the owner's benefit.

I will add that I was told that when they design a resort and determine rooms for views it’s based on a drawing and sometimes the reality doesn’t work.

It’s why they have told the members should always share feedback if what they have doesn’t seem to fit. It may make a difference.

It certainly did with BLT.
