O.J. Simpson-- not a Jew! A Nov/Dec 2011 Hanukkah pre-trippie Update 11/9 pg.18

I like your attitude! :goodvibes

I did hear. I have a friend/coworker who is there right now. She's been texting me from there. I made her a DL and DCA rough itinerary. She hadn't been since she was 16 and her family had never been. They have 3 days. I told her to hit the beach today and do Disneyland tomorrow. I love the heat but 100* is far too warm for Disneyland. She said she's teared up a ton and they are having a magical trip. I'm so glad. We've been planning her trip for over 6 months. :wizard:

Oh that's wonderful that her trip has been so good.

My thought on the heat is the fact that on that concrete it has got to be unbearable.

I'm so glad. Being a big Disney fan makes you vulnerable to critisism when you've talked it up and things don't pan out. I've had it happen. Our friends, a few years ago, visited for their first and last time. They came back beaking at me because it was crowded during Spring break. I told them to prepare for it.

I would rather suffer rain than heat. Be prepped if you visit WDW. May through Sept is warm!

Spring break can be as bad as summer. We have been twice during Spring break, one year it was cheerleader competitions going on and never again.

I would rather suffer the rain there too. I have been hot there and it never pretty.

44 days !!!

Spring Break is my least favorite time to go.

:dance3: I'm beyond excited! Chloe was so cute today, she's totally counting down with me. She said: 364 days until WDW and 43 days until Disneyland, I've got a great life. :cutie:

Oh that is great!! The apple didn't fall far from the tree did it?:hippie:

Not very far! :lmao: The other three think we're lunatics.

How's your weekend?

Same old, same old except while I was waiting for Kacy at the college today I watched some emergency response teams doing training. They had a lot of different teams there training.

YAHOOO!!!!! So excited for your report!! Can't wait to come along, DIS board style! Have to say, I completely agree about the move for one night, I'm not really a fan of the split stay...ever, but in this case, I'd make an exception but only for more than one night. Plus... like someone else said, lots of work for you to make the move, but I'm sure the kiddo's would totally help if it meant another day or two!

Since I am such a huge fan of all things Jenny, I'm ready for more updates! And of course subscribing!

PS - thanks for the WOOT on my booking today! You should have seen me this morning, total maniac - up at the crack of dawn, working on my plan b and c should I not get what I wanted! Jay happened to be off today so he was just staring at me, with a funny look on his face. It was awesome!

That's cool. I love watching DH train at the FD.

I'm so excited for you!!! Looks like plan b and c can be put to rest! :woohoo: Love the AKV! Who is all going on this trip? Did Jay finish his physical rehab?

Glad you're here. I am so ridiculously excited! So happy the kids decided that a trip to So Cal is the perfect Hanukkah trip. :lovestruc

Love my GCV too. I've called in my villa request and made my PS. Now just deciding on if we'll do the Holiday Tour and whether to keep our Napa Rose and Blue Bayou PS. I'm thinking of ditching both and opting for corn dogs and buying a ton of Mickey Hanukkah stuff. :upsidedow

Definitely put plan b and c to rest, they were BWV and OKW. This trip in the 2bdrm is me and Jay, my mom, my brother, sister-in-law and my two nieces. Then the studio is my BF and her husband and daughter! Aside from Jay and I, everyone in our room are 1st timers! So excited! Jay and I went to the Disney store tonight and I got a bunch of "trinkets" to send them. I'm doing a monthly "newsletter" and sending my nieces alittle something to keep their interest, every month until we go! Jay texted our nephew while I was in there and told him he "lost Aunt Amy in the Disney store", pretty comical. Yep, Jay is done with his cardiac rehab, and continues to go to the gym atleast 3x's a week. I'm so proud of him. He's still struggling with the fact that he's 42 and taking 6 pills everyday, but I think he'll get past that eventually. It's almost been harder on him mentally than anything else.

I loved the GCV! I think my favorite part was watching the WOC from the balcony. Every night, my nephew and I would sing "Its a Wonderful World of Color" and run out the door to head up there! We still sing it each time we see each other, it's our new "hello". Plus, it was such a cool resort and your kids are just awesome! I can't agree more, what a perfect Hanukkah gift! It's such precious quality time, over the holiday! Love it! Now, I'm a slave to a corn dog so that idea sounds awesome to me and who wouldn't want cool Disney Hanukkah gear! We didn't eat at either of the places you mentioned above so I'm not sure what they're like, but you guys are more "foodie" than we are so my food suggestions wouldn't be of interest to you I'm sure. Like I said, I'm lovin' the corn dog idea;). Did you decide on your trip for next year? Wasn't that something you were also working on? Oh, BTW - I think your pre-trippie title is great! I read it to Jay, he loved it!

Ok, heading to bed now, big day tomorrow...it's our 12 year wedding anniversary and we've got a big day of wine tasting ahead! Maybe not so smart on a Sunday when you have to work tomorrow! :confused3

42 days !!!

Park hours are finally out for Nov 27! :woohoo: POTC will be back up and running and no refurbs on the list. Great hours too:

Disneyland: 8:00 am- midnight with MM from 7-8 am

F! will be playing twice that night, parade twice, fireworks, and WoC twice. :cool1: Love having so many options!

Happy Anniversary! That's terrific! Enjoy your wine tasting, sounds lovely.

Your trip is going to be so fun with so many 1st timers. You've got a lot of planning ahead of you. :surfweb: Are you going to try to stick together most of the time or mostly meet for meals. It takes skill and patience to keep a big group together for sure. :thumbsup2

I am so close to canceling the $$$$ meals. DH is an amazing cook, we eat well almost nightly. Just can't decide. :hyper:

Thanks! On our way in a few minutes!
Yes, 1st timers are going to be so much fun! I have lots of planning ahead, but we're not doing the ddp so I want to be selective and make sure the reservations we do make, really count. I'm thinking Mickey's backyard bbq and dinner at the castle. Of course, BBB is a must for the little ones too! I'm going to try to stick together for the most part, with the cavieat being if someone wants to do something else, that's fine or if some want to call it a day and some don't that's ok too.

With such an incredible cook in your midst, it's tough to eat out so I see your indecision here. That's a tough one. Anyway you slice it though, your going to dine well! I'm anxious to hear of your decisions. Hmmm....what to do, what to do? Good thing you have options, that's always nice. I'm a big fan of options!

Ok, gotta go get my wine on! Have a great Sunday!

41 days !!!

Nov 28 hours are out now. :woohoo: Both parks close at 8 which makes me very happy! No F! on this night so it looks like I'll have to see it on Sunday.

I'm also along on your TR and I hope that you and your family have a great time during the Holiday season at the DLR. I see that your family will be there one week after my trip to DL. I can't wait to read your adventures.

Hi. :welcome: I'll check out your report too! Holiday reports are by far the best.

My hours are all posted and as I suspected, F! will only show one night. It will show twice however. Now the real fun planning begins! :surfweb: :hyper:

I'm a total dork and bought Ridemax again. After having gone to Disneyland hundreds of times, you'd think I wouldn't spend the money but nope, I did. I'm sure they count on geeks like me.
