O.J. Simpson-- not a Jew! A Nov/Dec 2011 Hanukkah pre-trippie Update 11/9 pg.18

I'm glad my trip isn't any earlier! I would have loved to have done later but didn't want to run into CP or CM parties ya know? Hanukkah week would have been perfect but then we wouldn't be with my friend over Thanksgiving.

I think you are missing the parties by a week. We were there one year during the parties and honestly the weather was so awful I didn't mind the park closing early.

Like super cold? We were there during a rainy day once but it was a warm rain. The parks cleared out and other than wet feet, it was fabulous.

Those Premiere APs are $749 not $700. I also realized we won't be in WDW unil October 2012 so they wouldn't be good anyway. :rotfl2: Can you imagine if I bought them?

It was cold enough I wore a hat and coat. I never wear hats or hoods. I even bought gloves in Disneyland. Give you an idea of how cold it was?:rotfl:

Yeah, but because the AP's don't start until they are activated it would work.

 :rotfl: You're right! I may buy my passes this weekend so I was thinking of 10/8.

That's cold for So Cal. I'm always cold though.

Yeah, I was thinking that at first too. The dates definitely changes things.

It was miserable. I am never cold so that says a lot. I live in the bay area we don't get real cold.

I found the Bay Area to be chilly but not cold cold like here.

Well, its always windy in Fairfield where I live but not in San Francisco.

How big is Fairfield? I have a friend, whom I haven't spoken to though in a couple of years who lives in Fairfield.....not like you would know every resident there or anything.

Our population is around 100,000 now. It has grown a lot since we moved here when I was a child.

Fairfield used to be a bedroom community that was a cheap place for people to live to commute to either San Francisco or Sacramento. With it being 45 miles either way to get to one of the cities. Plus we are home to Travis Air Force Base, Gateway to the Pacific. Now we have a lot of industry here.

We are home to Jelly Belly, Anheiser Busch, Ball Container, three plastic container companies and more. What was an extremely booming economy for a while got hit really hard and now our county is now in the top three in being underwater. It's sad. Thankfully there are the industries that are here are a huge help otherwise I think our county may not survive. There are other towns that aren't as strong. Fairfield and Vacaville are huge on industry.

Enough, sorry.

If I was to go on a tour this is one tour that I would love to go on.

Only 45 minutes to San Fran? Do yo go often? We are that far away from Park City and I bet we only make it up there 4x a year.

I have heard of Vacaville too. Their last name is Silva. She's terrific.

I've always wanted to visit the Jelly Belly Factory.

great start can't wait to read the final reports.

:welcome: Hi Sue. Glad to have you! The final report will have tons of pics for sure of both parks, the GCH, and So Cal.

We are the same about San Francisco. I am planning a trip with my Bff in November though and then going back with Scotty two weeks later. He is racing so we are going to be there three days in a row. I will be reading.

Silva is a very popular name in Vacaville.

The Jelly Belly tour is a lot of fun. There is an olive oil place near there that I adore. They have these infused olive oils that are amazing.
