Now that DBF has a job we've decided to go to NYC (again). Last year we went during Christmas and saw Rockette's christmas show. I was thinking of seeing Irvin Berlin's White Christmas this year. Anyone seen it? Like it? Any other suggestions? I can't wait to show DD NYC during the holidays.

Hmm, we're going for the 4th time this year. Are there any timeshares there? lol

Maybe the Manhatten Club..not sure
A friend saw Irving Berlins White Christmas
last year and love, loved. loved it. Just walking
around and observing the holiday decos has
to be a plus. Also the skating in rockfeller center
might put ya in the spirit. And the tree light up
must be a wonderous site.....writing about it
makes me want to visit too!!!! Have fun planning
and experiencing!!!:santa:

If you are going Ice skating this place is way better IMHO

There is something so magical being in the park skating. (at night it's very nice too!)

I had not heard of that Christmas show. I am going to check it out!

Oh have fun and I love going in this time of year. We just decided to do the Thanksgiving parade.

No ice skating. I'm not coordinated enough. I know what we're going to do with the rest of our time. I just can't decide on which Broadway show to see. Other than Radio City Christmas Spectacular, the only other one I saw a billboard for (when we were there in Sept) was White Christmas.

I think White Christmas will be fine.
I meant observing the ice skating, its
enjoyble too, watch someone else fall!!:lmao:
If it doesn't matter to you about seeing a holiday
show, I highly recommend Jersey Boys or Mama Mia.
The Big Apple is such an exciting city!! LUV IT!!!!

I wish they would bring back A Christmas Carol that used to play at the theater at Madison Square Garden. That was awesome.

I know that was no help to you, but it was a really good show :)

Cirq de Solie's Wintuk is also playing at MSG (theater). It's run for several years, now, during the holidays. We've got tickets for Dec. We also see the Radio City show every year.

For the past several years, Grand Central has had a lazer light show in the main lobby. It generally starts the beginning of December. It's free. Last year we missed it by 1 day. Hope to catch it this year. I generally drive into the city, but will take the train this time to see the show. It's suppost to be pretty good.

I would recommend the Nutcracker Ballet:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Oh yes, how did I forget. I know someone in the Nutcracker
Ballet so had the opportunity to see it a few yrs ago. I'm not
all that into ballet but I did enjoy this christmas time classic:)

It was fabulous! :thumbsup2

We've seen the Radio City show many, many times--always LOVE it. We've also seen the Nutcracker, which I think is a MUST at least once. I just love the music in it. We saw Wintuk the first year it played. I really liked it, but DS hated it. And last year we saw White Christmas, which is my favorite all time Christmas movie. It was great, albeit slightly different from the movie. Don't know if kids would enjoy it as much as the others, though. You really can't go wrong with any of these shows.:thumbsup2
