Looking to start something ....for those that have done Nutrisystem....did you like it? Food? WHat kind of results?

I did it about 3 years ago. I couldn't stomach the food. I also did Jenny Craig and while I loved the food & lost the weight it was very expensive to keep up with. And in the real world once you stop those portion controlled meals and cook for yourself it gets very difficult.

I'm going to move this over to the W.I.S.H. board. There are a lot of DISers there who can speak from personal experience with various weight-loss programs. I'm sure that they will be able to offer up some valuable advice.

I'm doing Nutrisystem and I lost 27 lbs so far. The food is ok. You just have to find the foods you like and order those. There are some that I can't even get down or finish, but others would say that they like them. Occasionally I will eat out, but get myself back on track the next meal and I haven't put back any of the weight. I used Weight Watchers in the past and was happy, but when I gained weight after having my DS, it wasn't working for me this time. Nutrisystem is working for me now. It is a bit expensive, but I was buying a lot of Lean Cuisines before, so it's kind of the same amount. They have a maintenance program after you get to goal, so you won't go back to your old eating habits.

I did Nutrisystem last summer and it lasted for two days. The food was HORRIBLE. I was so upset that I spent so much money and wouldn't even touch it anymore. Needless to say I was so discouraged. I would recommend Weight Watchers as it allows you to eat whatever you want in moderation.

I was thinking about this also, I saw the save 50 dollars with free shipping code.

I have done WW (with sucess) for years, my problem lately is the time and thought it takes to plan meals. If I could just get some of the holiday weight off I would go back to WW in a few months.

I really think WW works but I just need a mindless break of counting points.

How much does it cost? Does anyone know?

I would love to hear anyone else with any comments, I just came her to post the same questions.

I did Nutrisystem a few years ago. I didn't mind the food, but two friends I recommended the program to sent theirs back becuase they could not stand it. The only problem I had with Nutrisystem is that it is quite expensive and you really need to stay on it to keep the weight off. I lost 18 lbs in one month and about 5 pounds the next two months. Two years later and i have slowly gained it all back, but that is my fault, not Nutrisystem's.

I did Nutrisystem and the food was fine to me. I had to pick out my favorites. On their boards, people rate the foods. I lost 50 pounds with NS.

Adding one more thing about Nutrisystem. I actually have done Weight Watchers. I can honestly say that I prefer Nutrisystem because portion control is the key. Too many people on WW eat the right stuff, just ot the right portions. I've been on WW for the past 2 months and have gained 2 pounds on the program.

IMO Nurtisystem was terrible, we ordered the month supply and returned it after 3 days, the food was HORRIBLE and I felt like I was being punished when I was eating it.

Putting water in a paper cup to make eggs make me what to barf again just thinking about it. The meat was worse than a school lunch program. My dog that sits by my table and begs for food wouldnt even eat it, when I tried to give it to him. Any of the foods that had fruit or nuts in them hardly had any. Look online for yourself at the pictures they can't even airbrush the food enough to make it look appealing and it only gets worse when you open it up at home....YUCK!!!! Save your money and do weight watchers or some other sort of program that promotes a healthy overall lifestyle change...Even if you lose weight with nutrisystem I would have to think the second you go off of the program you will gain it back.

I loved Nutrisystem. I lost 45 pounds and kept most of it off ( Three years.)I am going back on Monday to loose my remaining pounds. I really enjoyed the food and went on a few websites to help me with meal tips. My mom on the other hand couldn't take it.

I tried it a couple of years ago, and also thought the food was terrible. I prefer to buy lean cuisines (most taste much better!).
