Looking at the "made it through ROFR thread" so far 50 point contracts have sold for 100-104 PP. Then add in the 6 buck PP closing cost for a 50 point contract. Some of those didn't even have '08 points.

So for 96 PP direct from Disney and deposited into my account...I'm just trying the easy way..

Haven't really looked deeply, but I think you're correct, even though the gift card may not kick in unless you buy at least 100.

The price differential for SSR resales makes the math a little harder, though - so I've got my work cut out for me, making that decision.

That's right Iceman I am dangerous (insert Tom Cruise in Top Gun Vision here) O.K. I painted half my face blue mounted my trustee stead adorned in my kilt and made the call at 8:58am. Oh, they tried to play it cool but I saw right through the smoke and mirrors. Anyway, all set, I got my Studio BW view I requested high up as possible, now I just have to call in every day for the next week, tie them all together, and then WAIT!!! There's a lot of waiting with Disney: ROFR, Estoppel, waiting to close, waiting for your points waiting for your membership cards (which I still haven't got), when you get to the parks you wait in line, you get a countdown clock so you can actually physically watch your waiting. It's tough when your the most impatient person in the world.

Well I'm sorry you are all having cold weather...you should come for a visit to CA. We are dropping down to the 80's today The kids have been in the pool 3-4 hours the last 4 days because it has been so hot!

We basically go from a fallish season with occasional cold weather (very few nights below freezing, most years), almost directly into summer, with only a bit of spring or springish weather in between. Then summer extends well into what the calendar thinks should be fall. But it's pleasant. Very seldom get to wear the overcoat that dates from my residence further north in Alabama - up closer to Birmingham.

Hey, Grandbuddy. You know you can add on thru Disney and divide the contract, don't you? So if you want 200 pts, you could separate that into two contract of any point value as long as it totals the 200. Soooo, if you buy over the 100 in two contracts, you should still get the gift card, shouldn't you?

It's just the "lure" of these contracts for under $80 that keeps me "fishing" in the "resale" pond. Maybe I'll "reel one in" yet.

Goofydad, waitlist for anything you'd consider staying in now. It's right before the 7 month window opens up and stuff will move around still. Kristen has owned BWV for a while and I know she calls day by day at the 11 month mark to get those standard BWV rooms.

I am waitlisted for any studio at BWV. I will waitlist for any other studio at the 7 month mark, as they confirmed I can not waitlist anywhere else until the 7 month mark. I will probably book something as a back-up later this week.

Just printed off our Southwest Group A boarding passes for tomorrow morning's flight to Florida.
