Looks like I'm booked during this Pop Warner week too. Does that have a big effect on crowds at the parks?? We are currently booked Nov 26-Dec 4 and am really not wanting to deal with huge crowds. I didn't know anything about Pop Warner. My daughter's bday falls within our vacation so that's a large reason why we are going during that time.

I believe Pop Warner is the first full week of December, so it would be the week after you are there.

I don't think it will affect you unless you are staying in a value resort where they stay. Sometimes they will overflow into moderate. They don't really affect crowd levels!

I know last time free dining was offered, some people who had already booked and whose dates and resorts were within the free dining parameters were able to modify their reservations to add free dining online. How does that work? Do you have to cancel your existing reservation and start over? Thx.

As long as your dates fall within the eligible dates of an offer AND there is availability wherever you are booked you can modify this online by logging into your MyDisneyExperience and going into your existing reservation. There should be an option to modify and look for available offers. If you have an existing reservation go in and look now and you should see this now. If there are no special offers it should tell you that.

Whew! That is good to know - we could go any time in Dec but I was shying away from the Pop Warner week even though it is cheaper!

I've been reading lots of blogs about it and they all say the 2 weeks after Thanksgiving are not such a crowded time to visit Disney. Here's hoping they're right, as I'm going right after Thanksgiving this year.

We went last year for Thanksgiving. With two small kiddos we are now going during Jersey week. We picked this week because we had a few days off from work too. Will this week be as crowded as thanksgiving week? What is the realistic likelihood for a discount on the Poly standard rooms? We thought we picked a good week but did not realize jersey week existed.

Yes. We are in a similar situation. Waiting for the official dates. I've heard both 11/11/16 and 11/15/16 as start days. Your check in has to be on a day when the offer is available.

You are fine. Pop Warner week does not start until December 3rd.

Only book your room now if you will still go without a discount. Disney only discounts rooms to fill them up so if all the rooms are filled they may not see a need to discount. Hopefully, that makes sense.
