DVC 1,000 Point Club (2026)

I can't see myself buying any more points any time soon (yes, famous last words around here, but I'm pretty darn confident about that right now), and if I do, hard to see how I would need any more at either CCV or RIV.

Hey famous last words but still gave yourself an out. You "can" buy more points, just not at CCV or RIV.

That's been a lot of my thinking. 500 CCV and 600 RIV give me enough for 1 week in a 2 BR at each even during Christmas/Easter (and, sigh, our spring break is always Easter week) with a few points left over. And, if I decide to double up and use 2 years worth of points, I'd have about enough for a week in a 3 BR GV or CCV cabin.

We'll see. I've really become convinced of the long-term value of CCV between the cheaper buy in price, the points chart, the dues, and the length of contract. I have no doubt LSL will be a great resort and there will be lots to love about it, but I will surprised if we see a points chart better than RIV. Combined with a larger upfront purchase price (for direct points), it being a restricted resort and likely a trust product, I'm going in with a lot of skepticism. But, never say never with DVC .

I feel like theyre going to pull out all the stops with it being the upscale wilderness option amd if they do that that appeals to me. I definetely CANNOT buy more points or I wont even have money to go on vacation anymore So if I was crazy enough to want to purchase i would def have to sell one of my resales and that isnt what I want to be doing plus I dont want less points.
