Have a good night, sooner or later I might get sleepy enough to go to be.:cloud9:

Hi Everyone! Haven't checked in lately. We are in the final weeks of soccer for both of our boys. Once soccer is over I'll be able to concentrate on our approaching cruise. Hope everyone is well. My boys would love to email any teens going. They are 13 & 16. Have a great weekend.

Pixie Dust II - those links are soooo coooool!!!. My parents went on a cruise that went through the canal, it is really neat to see it.

Do you know which day and time the Magic is scheduled? Would be fun to watch.

I don't know how many have been checking in on the graphics / door sign threads... but Brooklyn has made a cruise calendar for our cruise.

Including the one that Gecko posted, we now have 12. I think we're going to go for 2 a day before it's all said and done.

Interesting article I found about St. Maarten's Day:

PHILIPSBURG--Urging people to display unity on St. Maarten Day, Commissioner of Culture Louie Laveist displayed a wide range of paraphernalia on Tuesday, some of it quite wacky. He did so with Henry Janvier of Arnia’s Bookstore where the “stuff” is being sold.

Never before has there been so much “stuff” available for the island’s National Day. Besides the usual items such as T-shirts, pins, tiepins, key chains and various types of items displaying the St. Maarten flag, this year’s assortment includes bags, caps, pens, aprons, bracelets, kitchen gloves, windsocks and umbrellas.

Added to the collection are funky glittering items like earrings, leather belts with “spinner” buckles and necklaces with “I love St. Maarten.” There are even training suits, one of which Commissioner Laveist proudly displayed. Laveist said he had personally sponsored the training suits, pens and house flags. The latter are available at his office.

Prices are being kept low to enable as many persons as possible to purchase flags or other paraphernalia. Flags cost between US $2.50 and US $5. The popular car flag costs US $5 and the house flag goes for US $20. Usually these prices are higher.

Janvier, who together with Laveist showed the paraphernalia, explained that his business was doing this “out of love” for St. Maarten. He said he had received no financial support from the government, but had been in close contact with Laveist. The majority of the items are already for sale at the bookstore located on Bush Road.

Laveist put up his car flag Tuesday afternoon and urged residents to do the same. He referred to it as “displaying patriotism.” He said St. Maarten Day was not about political parties, but about St. Maarten. “It is not about the Democratic Party, National Alliance or People’s Progressive Alliance. It’s not about Louie Laveist,” he told the media gathered in his office.

Laveist urged people in general and political parties in particular to “put aside differences” and to “display unity” on St. Maarten Day. Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands will be present for this year’s festivities. Laveist said people should let the Queen know how proud they are of being part of St. Maarten.

With St. Maarten moving toward its new status of country within the Kingdom, the flag becomes even more important, said the Commissioner. He said the national flag would become a “calling card.” Consequently, it is everybody’s duty to display the red, white and blue of the flag. “It doesn’t matter where you are from, as long as you are here.”

Edited to add: This may be an old article, but it just popped up on my search function for the first time today.

Guess what????

I got my Passport in the mail today!!!!!! :cool1:  It came very, very fast too, I sent out for it on April 28 and it came today May 12( the lady said I would not get it until June 9). My mom did not get her's yet though and we both sent out for them the same day( as we went together to get them done).

It seems even more real now, that we are really going on our Disney Cruise Line trip!!!!! :cloud9: :cool1: :dance3: :yay: :woohoo:

Morgan4, yes you can save and print the graphic. For windows: Right click on the picture; left click on "save picture as"; select where you want to save it on your computer.

I have a lot of pictures/graphics/etc. for signs along with several I have finished. I will be posting them later. Still working on building up the excitement with the family. It still seems to be a long time away for the kids!

I plan to use a couple of our signs from the last cruise---most especially the one with our dog on it!:lovestruc We just can't be without her. I did one for our daughter and son-in-law with their dog. She just had surgery with the doggie K-9 dentist. They thought the bill was going to be $1,400.00, but it was only $1040.00! She had two abscessed teeth to be removed..the large k-9 ones and she is nearly 11 years old. They were very worried about an anathesia, but she did fine! Thank goodness, as she is the baby!:lovestruc . If you are a dog lover, you will understand!

Hope everyone had a nice Mother's Day! I got a digital picture frame so I am busy putting cruise pictures on it. It is almost as much fun as being on the cruise! ALMOST!

Have a good week!:dance3:

I am an animal lover myself, but WOW, thats alot. My cat had to have 4 teeth removed, but it was no where near that.

LOVE my digital picture frame!! I have pictures on it from our last Disney vacation, Sept 2006, and the girls will see one of the slides and comment on "how much fun" and " do you remember..." Can't wait to change them up for the cruise pictures.

DUH!! I know how to do that, I guess I was having one of my many blonde moments. :cutie:

Did anyone watch the Magic yesterday as she went through the Panama Canal? We were hoping to see some of our friends, but I think we saw P.J. from Palo. That was the only person I recognized. It was almost as good as being there!:cloud9: .

We are ready to leave for a baseball game, but I don't think the weather is going to go along with it! We seem to have rain every weekend. I hate to make the trip for away games and have them canceled, but maybe it will blow over!:woohoo: . I love baseball, so hope we play!

Hope everyone has a good weekend!

Hello everyone hope eveyone is doing well. It has been a couple of months since I have been on the boards as I have been busy with many things. One of them should have been the cruise, but it hasn't. I still need to book the Hyatt and make plane reservations. I should have done that in Feb when I was researching them. Now the prices have gone up. What a mess. Good thing I didn't though as my son and his fiancee can't make it. With him being unemployed it doesn't make sense to spend all that money. Especially with school loans and car payments. Even if he does get a teaching job the school isn't going to be happy if he needs to tell them two months into the school year he has to take off 6 days. So he thought it best to bow out now. Disney was very understanding and he rec'd his refund back already. So it is just me and my DH going on the cruise.
I have been keeping a list of any new names since the beginning and the only two names that I did see that are new are Canadafour and Basfreeman. So welcome to our group.
Hope all the mom's had a great Mother's Day.
Thanks Pixie Dust for the websites for the Canal. I wished I had seen it a day or two ago, but I have saved the websites so that I can watch Disney go through the canal in Aug. I will know people onboard then.
My thoughts are with you FantasticFour and your family. What a sad time for you. Yes you will need your cruise.
On an up-note congrats to Old School Pooh and the pending addition to their family. Much happiness to you and your family. We all maybe on the cruise, but you will have something much more special than the cruise, you will have a new life in your hands.
Well today is the day I'll be working on bills, ugh and getting our reservations done. Hope everyone has a great day and I'll keep up with the readings as it is no fun to have to go through 10 pages just to catch up to you all. :surfweb:

Hello all! Been meaning to come here and post for sometime but just haven't found the time! I can't believe how this cruise is almost finally here. :) I've finally started preparing and that has gotten me in the DCL state of mind. LOL. Just made our reservations for the Radisson the night before the cruise and have decided to spend two days at disney (surprise for dds and have bought tickets for mvmcp) post cruise. Now I'm working on getting clothes for dds -- gymboree apparently had a complete line of cruise related clothing last year so I have been tracking down some of it (new) on ebay. I already have formal attire for dd8 but still have to shop for dd10. I've also been trying to stockpile fun stuff the ride down and back.

Now if I can just find time to go back and read the last 20 or so pages on this thread so I can get caught up I'll be happy! Happy cruise planning everyone!!! :)

Did anyone watch the Magic yesterday as she went through the Panama Canal?

I was having a boring day at work, :surfweb: so I was flipping between the webcam and disboard. Saw the back end briefly at the first lock, or was it the second? Anyway then the webcams went down and so on.

Knew that is was getting close to the bridge, then all H broke loose at work and I never got back to my computer until I got home at 5!!!! Missed the whole thing!@! :sad2:

I will try again on the E-bound.

Isn't the weather horrible!!! We are only about 2 hrs from you and it is so cold and windy. I thought it was almost summer, but now I think we are having fall weather, so that means we should be cruising, right!!!
