November 8, 2008 7 Night Eastern 11/8/2008 11-8-2008 FIRST POST UPDATED ON 10/16/08

Thanks guys!

We are very excited! We got engaged on the magic last October and can't wait to be back onboard for the honeymoon!

hey folks we are under the 5 mo. mark. I am so excited its seems like all I talk about is Disney. But I am a little confussed why this thread is so quiet. Well I hope everyone is doing well and doing lots of planning.

We're here..been quiet because we've got a Wonder cruise coming up June 22and are atypically unready for it!

We'll be going on the November Eastern sans kids...so I guess that makes us honeymooners, too ;-)

I am here to and counting down the days! LOL I have a feeling this summer is going to fly by! The whole month of July I have stuff going on, it's crazy( as most of the time I never have anything going on)! LOL On 4th July weekend we have a wedding to go to in WY. Then the next weekend my work is having a big party for us at one of the Water Parks for us. And after that one of my friends from MN is coming for a long weekend. Then after then my best friend from MN is coming down to visit for the weekend! So after all that happens it will be the first part of Aug., so there goes my summer right there! LOL But I can't wait!!!!! I have not seen my friends from MN, for over a year.

This last weekend I babysat two kids, that go to the Day care I work at for 7 hours and made $50.00! That is going right towards spending money! Every other Sat. I will get to babysit and make that much each time! So I am very happy about that!

Hi there! my husband just surprised me with this cruise! We live in the Tampa area and we had gone to Port Canaveral to see off my cousin and my husband saw the ship and was hooked!!!! I'm very excited since I've never cruised before! Can anyone tell me anything I should really know before going? We have 3 daughters, 5, 7, & 9. I have no idea if I should be planning something or doing something to prepare. Any advice is welcome!!!

Welcome aboard! :)

This will be my mom's and I's 2nd Disney Cruise Line trip, but I first trip was back in Sept.2000( so it has been awhile, so I am not going to be the best one to give you advice). But there are DISmembers that are going on the same cruise that can for sure offer you some advice!

My mom and I have just been buying stuff for our trip ever since we booked it, back in March 2007. I got a new bathing suit, sun glasses, some new dress shoes to go with my dress, two new tops, etc. We also got our Passports. We still both need to get new pair of waking shoes. And of course I have been putting money away to pay for the trip( when it is due this Aug.) and put money away for spending!

this will be our second cruise, and I am still learning alot. best advice, scan the Disboards and the TR. You can even view a Navigator the last one I have found was from Jan 19 2008. This will give you an idea of the different activities for the whole family. Some things may change but just from what I saw from our last cruise Disney stays pretty much to the same schedule minus what movies are showing.

Welcome to all the new additions to the cruise! I thought I would check in, been hanging out on the main board and mostly posting some new stuff in the graphics thread. I have quite a few ready for door magnets.

Has anyone been thinking about the when they plan on trying for Palo? I'm leaning toward the 13th. Being toward the end of the cruise, the kids should be more comfortable on their own, it's semi-formal night so we would be "dressing" anyway, and to top off the romantic side of things Disney has scheduled a full moon that evening!

I haven't been on the board for about 6 months and was wondering if anyone has heard what's up on the Magic Drydock schedule for this September? We are looking forward to this trip, in 2000 we had a couple come on a 4 day cruise with us and they have never been on a 7 day cruise before. So to all out there with any knowledge of any makeovers the Magic will undergo, please respond.
Got to go now, so many things to pack.:moped:

:welcome: :welcome: :welcome: To all of our new cruisers. I have not been keeping count, but our group is really becoming a nice size group. The time is going very fast.

I just booked dining for our days before the cruise at WDW and there were a lot of times taken so it does not appear that the park will be low in numbers of people.

Hello Pixie Dust II, I see you are also from the wonderful state of PA. There are four of us coming, my wife Sherry, August & Sharron Eberheardt and myself, we live in the Pocono's,I am about 4 miles from the International Raceway and the other couple are from Stroudsburg.
We are hoping to have a fun group, especially for the 60's & 70's night, time to blow off the high gas prices and the rat race and just mellow.
Have you heard of any changed that are taking place with The Magic while in dry dock? just curious, last cruise they said the may be doing a make over on the Animators Palete, just wondering if that was still on.

Welcome!! :welcome: :jumping1: :welcome:

We are originally from PA! My DH is from Stroudsburg!! I grew up in a little town of Benton, north of Bloomsburg.
Been to Pocono raceway :car:

Glad to have you aboard! I don't know what they are doing in drydock, but the ship will be **** n span for us in November.

I have seen some of your graphics on the main board.. very nice!! :worship:

I keep saying that "this weekend" I want to relax and do my door signs, but I don't seem to get the time. I really want to do it soon and may ask for some pointers.

I am really hoping that I can reserve Palo at the 75 day mark, but the 13th sounds perfect. Love the full moon, but I thought this was a "family" ship. :rotfl:

Welcome KBennett!! :welcome: :jumping1: :welcome:

We have 2 DD's 8 and 12. Welcome aboard!

I ordered the Passporter for Disney Cruise lines, it is great!!
Also, just watching the main board and ask any questions that may come to mind. This is our first cruise, but with the DisBoard I feel that I know what I am doing. Well maybe a little bit.

Thanks, I have plenty of graphics if you need some. If you saw something you liked, let me know and what you want on it.

Are you also thinking of the Palo brunch? As a first timer, I don't know if we would want to try to get 12 - 14 DISers and put in a request for the private room for the brunch. OR if everyone would rather do that meal on their own???

Hi Gecko1, i've also seen your designs, very nice:thumbsup2 , I'm thinking if you don't mind maybe you can design something especially for our cruise, kinda like the one for Oct 11-18 Eastern, it says "Parrothead Pirates in Paradise", or the one for Oct 4-11 Western, it says "Buccaneers Take the West!".

Welcome aboard to all new cruisers!!!:welcome: party: :welcome:

WHERE IS EVERYONE!?! :surfweb:

We need to get some conversations started.

So I will start:

Is anyone doing anything FUN this summer?

We are going to Williamsburg, VA with the inlaws! :woohoo: :cool1: :woohoo:
Hope to do Colonial Williamsburg, Busch Gardens, the water park, and anything else we can cram into 6 days.

Anyone from the area with other ideas of things to do there?

Wasn't going to go anywhere this summer (with gas so high and all), but the inlaws wanted to go somewhere with the granddaughters, so off we go. They are in their early 80's and we want to spend as much "quality" time we can with them while they are able to go.

Anyone Else??
