November 8, 2008 7 Night Eastern 11/8/2008 11-8-2008 FIRST POST UPDATED ON 10/16/08

Thanks, I have plenty of graphics if you need some. If you saw something you liked, let me know and what you want on it.

Are you also thinking of the Palo brunch? As a first timer, I don't know if we would want to try to get 12 - 14 DISers and put in a request for the private room for the brunch. OR if everyone would rather do that meal on their own???

When we did the cruise last summer one of the guys on our cruise made a logo and we all got shirts printed. Maybe you saw it.

It would really be nice if we could have something with the Easteren Caribbean background and a logo around it such as this. We also got lanyards with the same logo on them.

Thought I would send you a smile for the day! This is our Princess Jasmine celebrating her 2nd birthday!:rotfl2:

Hello Pixie Dust II, I see you are also from the wonderful state of PA. There are four of us coming, my wife Sherry, August & Sharron Eberheardt and myself, we live in the Pocono's,I am about 4 miles from the International Raceway and the other couple are from Stroudsburg.
We are hoping to have a fun group, especially for the 60's & 70's night, time to blow off the high gas prices and the rat race and just mellow.
Have you heard of any changed that are taking place with The Magic while in dry dock? just curious, last cruise they said the may be doing a make over on the Animators Palete, just wondering if that was still on.

Welcome, aboard! We are not from PA, but neighbors in WV. We can get to downtown Pittsburgh faster than most people who have a Pittsburgh mailing address!

Have no clue about dry dock for the Magic, just counting the days until it is our turn! It seems like forever since we were last on board and it hasn't even been a year:goodvibes

We bought an RV in an RV park on Lake Ontario at the end of last summer. It is about 25 minutes from our house so we get up there at least every weekend. We were going to stay there thru most of the summer but with gas prices so high (I work about 50 minutes from there) I think I may only go to work from there once or twice a week. It is just so peacefull at night watching the sunset over the water! That is about the extent of what we are doing this summer.

The hard part is that right after the park closes for the winter, we will get ready for the cruise and then Christmas but the time between Jan 2nd and May 1st (when we can get back into camp) is never-ending!

Hello everyone, I was wondering if there was going to be anying tagging on this cruise. I know that on other curises someone has organized something where you leave little gifts. My nieces loved this on the last cruize that we went on, but I did not do it since at the time my son was 3 and didn't think he would get much out of it. If any one wants to do the "tag" then we should start buying now. I know that Target has had disney stuff in their $1.00 area and other places have had really cheap disney items as well. I am not good at organizing so someone else will have to do it. Sorry. :confused3

Gecko:

Just wanted to say this is absolutely gorgeous. Any way you could set it up for our cruise?

I already did! I think I posted it in the graphics thread, which resulted in making dozens more requested in the thread and through private messages. In fact I have about 6 requests waiting in PM now. Most are for the princesses smiling for the camera and the girl breaking through the canvas reaching out to tink.

Here is the one for our sea days... I have made several for Veteran's Day, Pirate Night, etc. I will get them all together and post them here for our group as we get closer to leaving and I get closer to being organized!

Okay, these aren't great, and I'm not taking credit for them. I just figured I would share some of the ones we've got done. I'm going to admit that on one or two of these I just took an idea that someone else had used and edited it to fit us. I hope noone minds.

I am interested in partisipating, but this is my first cruise and I don't know how it really works.

Do we get together a list of room numbers and then distribute??

Some help from the veterans please!!

I was wondering if anyone in our group was going to organize a tag/fish extender group. We will join in!

Ok, all of you organized people... who will be stepping forward to collect the names/ages of the kids & names of adults, the cabin numbers, and put this together?

I guess this means either finding a pattern for my DW or shopping on eBay for a FE.

Hi all. Welcome to the new families who are joining us!

I would also like to join in on the tag/fish ext. We have never done this on our cruises. It sounds like fun. We have only done a grab bag at our meet & greet so I don't know how to organize it. How about a name for our cruise? So many of the other threads have names? What does everyone think?

Morgan4- We were supposed to leave for a family reunion today to Sandbridge, VA. My husband couldn't get the whole time off so I decided to stay home and have the kids take swim lessons instead. DH is going to go for a couple days since its his family and his brother was coming from FL. Unfortunately, the trip was planned last summer and his nephews could not make it either.

For all the shoppers- I'm doing pretty good. Soon I'll have to start school shopping for DS and DD so I'd like to have all of our clothes bought. I'll wait until they go back to school before I get the toiletries and little things. Actually my DD(3) will be starting preschool in Sept. She is so excited. She loves to be around other kids. So she'll probably cry when I pick her up.:rotfl:
She did this the first day of swim camp just this week.

PixieDust- How cute. We used to have a poodle too. My mom took her in for my BIL. Her name was Bo and that is my nickname too. A few times my mom had called me for dinner and she climbed to the table and ate my food. So for the few years we had her, she was " Bo the dog" and I became "Bo the person". Strange- I know.

Everyone have a great weekend.

:yay: Woo hoo! We received a really nice cruise planning guide today, all about the ship, excursions, etc. It is really pretty and put us in the mood to cruise! :yay:

Also, MOZART your designs are great!!!

There are several of us that are wanting to do the tag/fish extenders. We need someone who has done this and who is organized to get everything set up. I have been told alittle about it, but still don't really know how to get it started.

When we were on our last cruise anyone who wanted to particate in the gift exchange had a fish extender and we each chose a day we would deliver our gifts. We had a map of who was in the staterooms that was joining in so you just went from floor to floor and left your gift. It did not have to be anything expensive, but it was fun and at the end you had some neat memories. Only problem is, don't get anything bulky because if you are buying for too many remember what you are packing!:stir:

I tried to send the logo we used from our last cruise from photo bucket but it said the picture had expired. It was so cute and would be so neat to update for this cruise. We had t-shirts with the logo. It was the background of the Mediterranean with stars on the ports, a Mickey super inposed and an outside circle that read "ROMEancing The Mouse Cruise-July 28-August 8, 2007". It was really sharp. It made us really easy to identify each other too as there were 262 of us.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Love all of those signs!:lovestruc

That doesn't sound to difficult. Just put together a map and list of everyone participating and then distribute them when? At a meet on the ship? or email them out b4 hand?

If that is all there is, I could do that.

Pixie Dust - let me know if there is anything else that we should do.

I would suggest emailing the lists out before we cruise. Just in case someone misses the meet-n-greet. Do we do just one gift per family? or stateroom? Since some families may be split in more than one room?

PixieDust- The t-shirt idea is really cute. Maybe we could use one of the door sign pictures that are posted?
