Exchange student- I think thats wonderful for you to open your home and hearts to someone

WDW 2013 might be out for us as we have a beach and a cruise trip to pay for hope everything falls into place though

I changed to Cape May. It seems to be less hectic, and is closer to the hotel.

I sorry! I hear the tight budget. My lawn mower was stolen a month ago out of our backyard and now we had a scooter stolen and my bike lock cut.. So now we HAVE to put a fence up its gonna take most of my spending money

Now I got the bug. This super sucks as its DD's 4th birthday today.

Oh no! I was afraid that might happen. Hope it doesn't last long. The good thing about 4 year olds is that any day they celebrate is fun to them. Happy Birthday to her!

We are doing Disney on a budget as well this year. I kinda like it. It makes me appreciate the things we get to do more, because they are limited. Maybe I am strange.

It can't come soon enough. I am so anxious, I just want November to be here. Obsessing and reading these boards is really not helping, but I will keep doing it anyways. I've been doing a lot of research and making my OCD lists, since we have never gone in November. Good luck to you on waiting patiently

99 days, time to do the double digit dance!!

We're on a budget this trip, too. I'm thinking about giving each child $50 to spend on souvenirs. $50 sounds like a lot, but $25 doesn't sounds like enough. $50 is $10 for everyday we're there, though.

I was also thinking I might be able to cross my nieces & nephews off my Christmas list while at Disney. If I can get my hands on some photos of their favorite characters and get them autographed (like the Cinderella photo when you write a letter), I'll pick up a little something to go with each autographed photo. How would you feel if your kits received a gift like that?

I make a piece of paper for my niece and nephew's favorite character to hold. Then we I get home I print the picture and put it in a frame I got at WDW. They love them. My nephews favorite is the one where Mickey is holding a sign telling him congrats on making all stars. He thought is was so cool that Mickey knew he made it.

While we're all waiting for November to come along, would you mind if I asked a question that is totally

DH and I just eliminated cable from our home. We have a tv that has internet connection and we have Netflix. We got an HD antenna that gives us the regular channels in HD. We can watch most shows on our laptop (hooked to the tv). BUT I was thinking of getting Direct TV. My question is, do any of you have DTV and if so, how do you like it?

The thing is, I miss having the Disney channel and all the movie channels and the food channel. Not so much now, but during the winter months I watch a lot more tv. And I LOVE the Christmas movies when they're on. I thought i could do without, but now I'm second guessing. We can't stand our cable provider, so we won't go back there. Hoping someone can clue me in here. TIA

Liking cable to a drug is so accurate! I feel as though I'm missing something. But I want to be okay without it. Is there a 12 step program for this? Thanks for your input!

We have DTV, and we love them. Our DvR did die on us two weeks ago, but they shipped one. It got here quickly, and we just watched movies until we received it. It is so much cheaper than our cable provider for what we have our cable provider it would be near $200, with DtV its $78 and we have HBO and Cinemax. In heavy rain we lose signal depending on direction. Didn't lose signal for long during the hurricane last year. We have been happy for almost 2 years now.

OMG!!! SOO happy! Someone on FB posted that Disney store had the Doc Mcstuffins doctor kit in stock for $16 yay! I have been looking all over for this for 2 months!
