I am so freaking stoked right now!!! My heart is beating out of my chest!! Because of airfare prices being what they were we had decided to drive from Central WI... This morning I was checking my email and I had an airfare alert from Kayak and the prices had dropped $86/person!!!

Needless to say I went to the site and check it out.. Was afraid that it wasn't going to be round trip etc.... But it was!!! I chose the Expedia site because we have an account with them... Then I looked at prices the next day and they were $4 less still and still had times to leave later in the day...

WE ARE FLYING TO DISNEY!!!! :cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

I was going to post something similar. Flying out of Minnesota here. When I initially booked our November trip (day after Thanksgiving) back in April (room only) airfare was around $480 or so p/person for non-stop on Delta. Needless to say I didn't book for our family of 5. About a month later when I got the free dining pin code, I checked again and saw airfare had dropped to low $400's, so was starting to hold out some hope. Since then I've checked Delta off and on and about two weeks back finally saw it drop out of the $400's to around $360 then $320. I didn't pull the trigger and hadn't looked at fares for about a week or so, then decided on a whim to check this morning and all I can say is :cool1:pixiedust: and a big :thumbsup2

Airfare had dropped to $258 (with all taxes) for a non-stop flight from Minneapolis to Orlando. Needless to say, scooped up 5 tickets and saved ourselves over $1,000 from what I was originally budgeting for.

I think we may use the savings to get a car rental for part of our stay (rent on property).

Very happy to lock in that kind of airfare, even if it goes down more, knowing I got it $200+ cheaper per person than expected is huge.

We just booked Southwest out of CMH @ $225. :cool1:

It's beginning to look a LOT like Christmas!

Kinda jealous at all you who have been able to purchase your airfare so cheap. If only I had a little extra money to book ours. I still needs a few more weeks to save as I have 3 of us to buy for and my DH who is going to fly to Pensacola to meet my daughter so she and he can make the 7 hr drive to Disney..then he will fly back from Orlando with us and my DD will drive home. Its a bit more complicated and this will cost us a bit more. So I am hoping the airfares will hold out just a little bit longer so I can get in on the savings too.

So tomorrow is the big day for many! I am excited for everyone and plan to be up early to get into all the fanfare so to speak. It is so exciting!! It kind of reminds me the night before we were able to book our Inaugural cruise on the Oasis of Seas-now that was a trip I will never forget. It was incredible and we were treated like royalty from the moment we entered where we were greeted with champagne and all the dingitries and godmothers of ship which were 7 amazing women. Wow! That's all I can say. Anyway....here's hoping for lots of magic and pixie dust for all!! pixiedust:

Are you flying out of BWI?:goodvibes

Yeah I think so....we are actually 1/2 way between BWI and Philadelphia....I always check the airfares for both and right now BWI is cheaper. For awhile it was PHL now its BWI go figure.

where exactly are you located? I am in Harford County :) Not too far from Phily BUT closer to BWI:goodvibes

Yeah I noticed you live in Maryland also....we used to live not far from there in Towson. We live just outside Ocean City MD- in Ocean Pines/Berlin now and since 2000. Its a small world isn't it??

Yes, hi there neighbor!! I know for our cruises there is a Maryland thread. I wonder if there should be one for Disney...hummm But then again another thread to keep up with. Maybe not lol!!

Looking forward to this trip so much. I know once I get the airfare I will really feel like its coming together.

Sor you making the ressie for everyone or just your family? I would def do 1900pf! My girls loved it! Dress themup in a disney store dress and do their hair! I want to share a pic with you. I will NEVER forget this! This was in 2010 at 1900PF Cinderella dinner

There were so many adults there too! I would do it again but this year we are doing a breakfast there:)

This is what floored me when we ate dinner at 1900 PF :goodvibes! I had no idea this happened and had only heard about the stepmom and stepsisters being a lot of fun. I had gone up to get food with some others and we just had to stop and watch the magic, aww :goodvibes!

Can I join the planning fun?!?

My mom and I are booked at POR the 8th-13th (with fd starting the 9th). New to POR so would love any opinions on that!

As of now, I booked Saana, La Hacienda, Raglan Road, and Ohana. And we're planning on MVMCP on the 12th!w

Welcome! POR is wonderful. So pretty and peaceful. I highly suggest maybe paying for a preferred room near the main building with Riverside Mill. Some rooms are really far away an, after sooo much walking in the parks, it can be a little un-fun HAVING to walk so far at the end of a long day. Make sure you take the boat to DTD. It's so relaxing and truly beautiful. Make sure you go in the gift shop. Not exactly sure why, but we LOVE it. We always go there right after we check in. I think you'll love POR!:goodvibes

Wow! Today just got better... So I booked our flights this morning and because of the price difference we are coming in the night before our reservation - well technically the day of since we get in at midnightish... :coffee:

Just out of curiosity I called to see if we could still do Magical Express even though we are arriving when we are and they let us do it!!! So now I just need to find a cheap hotel near the airport for us to crash in that night and the next day they will transport us to Disney on ME!!!:banana::banana::banana:

so excited, started packing stuff in our suitcases

and got 20 iron on sheets for 6 bucks!!!! sweet deal. gonna try to make some tshirts

Now I love my schedule and dont want to drop anything but I want BOG! :goodvibes

Out of these...which would you cancel
MM with reserved F! seating
WCC
T-Rex
LTT
1900PF

I am thinking that I can fit everything but 1900PF dinner by canceling MM and If I cancel LTT and 1900PF I can keep MM and WCC. No one has asked for MM(just doing it for F!) but ppl have asked for LTT, WCC and T-Rex I will go crazy before Aug 4th!

I love the menu, but I have odd tastes...;) I know I have decided to be left out of the FD'ing grab tomorrow but I don't like the idea of missing the action.:rotfl2: I just can't change my dates and I really don't want to do a split stay, everytime I think about it I just don't want to deal with changing anything else around. We're splurging on Poly, we might as well splurge on the food too...:lmao:

I'm a little torn myself... due to MNSSHP I'm not sure what we will do during the day... we were going to go to TL but it is being refurbed and BB doesn't excite us so we will either spend a day at DTD/go mini golfing/swim at AKL or go to AK. If we don't, then we'd have 1.5 AK, 1.5 HS, 1.5 MK + the party, and 1.5 EP + W&D runners party. If we do, then it would be 2 AK, 1 HS, 1MK and 1.5-2 EP.

I'm guessing we will take it easy on that day and do a resort play instead of a park though... we just got back from 2 days at DL and my husband did not hold up well at all. It was very hot so even though we took a couple hours rest on Sunday and were only there for half days on Sat & Mon he was still in a bad place temperature and footwise. It really put a damper on the whole experience so now I am a little terrified of this longer trip... We've tried moleskin and bringing different shoes; ice cream break daily, a long lunch at Carthay Circle in addition to a two hour break and nap in the afternoon during our full day on Saturday... he took all of the Ibuprofen & Excedrin I had brought as well, but still had a bad time. We even popped by the first aide station and got him a pack of ice... I don't know how else to make it easier on him! :crazy2:

There's also an anti-friction stick you can put on your feet to help with blisters and such. I'm adding that to my bag this time, along with scissors for the moleskin. A small battery-operated fan and the TS ADRs for lunch really helped us.
