Popcorn Bucket - Refills

I purchased a popcorn bucket in March 2023. It has Mickey and Minnie for the 50th on it. We purchased it in Disney Studios or Animal Kingdom, I forget which one. When purchasing, we were told by the CM that we can bring it back on future trips and it would not be an issue. When we used it at EPCOT one day, we did not ask him, but the CM told us the same...yet said MK may not allow us to use it there.

Do they actually allow this? Can you bring it back on trips and get refills for the refill price? No, I am not trying to cheat the system....just asking what is truly allowed. I am not sure where my bucket is at the moment anyhow, I may have given it away.

We use one that’s at least 10 years old, probably more and it’s never an issue.

I purchase a new popcorn bucket pretty much every visit, but we don't want to lug the "deluxe" ones around all week or get them dirty with actually putting popcorn in them. So I bring a "standard" bucket with us and use that every trip. I've never been denied a refill in the older bucket.

They need to follow Tokyo Disney because they have collapsible popcorn buckets. I have an Alice one and it's great! If the US parks did the fun popcorn flavors like they do at Tokyo and took non-US buckets, I'd bring it.

As a little head's up, if you're refilling your bucket at AK across from the Dawa Bar, keep an eye on it! Last month we refilled our 50th Anniversary bucket. At this location you give the CM your bucket and they place it on a side counter after it's filled. Well we got to the side counter and our bucket was gone! Even the CM couldn't believe it! We did see the person walking away with it, but we weren't going to confront them over it. The CM just gave us a brand new bucket and we were on our way. I'm a little sad to have lost our 50th bucket but honestly have a stack of other buckets in my closet I can bring back. I don't love having the same bucket as everyone else LOL!!!

I just refilled my old popcorn bucket at EPCOT and Hollywood Studios (Hyperion Popcorn) this week for $2.25. Where exactly did they charge you $2.33?

We went to HS and tried to get the savory/spicy popcorn refill and they told us they would only refill with the butter flavored popcorn. I thought all popcorn was available for refill, did they change it?

We are heading to Epcot today and I am hoping we can get the maple flavored.

Are there any other flavors in the parks to try?

Where is the savory popcorn at HS? I don't think I've ever seen it. Is it a regular popcorn stand? Oh, is this in Galaxy's Edge? If so, that's more of a specialty thing.

They used to have a popcorn stand in Epcot, between the Land and Imagination, that had cheese and I think another flavor in addition to butter, and you could get any of those. Now it's just the maple at Canada (but not the caramel at Werther's in Germany).
