I am so freaking stoked right now!!! My heart is beating out of my chest!! Because of airfare prices being what they were we had decided to drive from Central WI... This morning I was checking my email and I had an airfare alert from Kayak and the prices had dropped $86/person!!!
Needless to say I went to the site and check it out.. Was afraid that it wasn't going to be round trip etc.... But it was!!! I chose the Expedia site because we have an account with them... Then I looked at prices the next day and they were $4 less still and still had times to leave later in the day...
WE ARE FLYING TO DISNEY!!!!![]()
I was going to post something similar. Flying out of Minnesota here. When I initially booked our November trip (day after Thanksgiving) back in April (room only) airfare was around $480 or so p/person for non-stop on Delta. Needless to say I didn't book for our family of 5. About a month later when I got the free dining pin code, I checked again and saw airfare had dropped to low $400's, so was starting to hold out some hope. Since then I've checked Delta off and on and about two weeks back finally saw it drop out of the $400's to around $360 then $320. I didn't pull the trigger and hadn't looked at fares for about a week or so, then decided on a whim to check this morning and all I can say is

Airfare had dropped to $258 (with all taxes) for a non-stop flight from Minneapolis to Orlando. Needless to say, scooped up 5 tickets and saved ourselves over $1,000 from what I was originally budgeting for.
I think we may use the savings to get a car rental for part of our stay (rent on property).
Very happy to lock in that kind of airfare, even if it goes down more, knowing I got it $200+ cheaper per person than expected is huge.
