She is adorable!! :goodvibes

Go here to find what resorts still have FD rooms.

Scroll down and click on check available. :goodvibes

Thanks for the link! Do you all make all your reservations yourselves then vs using a travel agent? Do you do trip insurance?

I am a bit more budget minded than my sis but even she commented about expense right before the holidays so perhaps I will be able to get her to move down to a moderate resort. If it were completely up to me, I would choose one of the Value hotels. I stayed at AS Movies with my dd's dance studio about 3 years ago and we enjoyed it.

I have always booked our trips. It allows me to make any changes when I want to without having to wait on anyone else. And if you have read this thread at all.....Then you know that we are a group that makes changes. And often. :rotfl:I have also never bought the trip insurance. And I think you should stay were you are most comfortable staying. :thumbsup2

Have you looked at the Swan and Dolphin? We've always stayed at Disney resorts, but chose the Dolphin this past June because of the SPACE we got for an amazing price. It suited us so well because it was the price of a moderate or sometimes value (with the teacher discount,) but had the space/quality/location of a deluxe :thumbsup2

We have also booked a little return trip for November 17-20 so we can see some of the new things in Fantasyland, however, we're staying at AOA this time to save some money. :goodvibes

When do room discounts for that time come out? We are showing up on Thanksgiving and the free dining didn't really help. We would of had to pay OOP for HDDR which would have made the discount nonexistent.

I was just looking that up too. Last year, the AP and FL resident discounts were released in early Aug and Sept, but the general public discount wasn't released until early October! Also, often, Thanksgiving dates aren't included (as you can see with the free dining offer :( ) Fingers crossed that we get a good one this year that INCLUDES Thanksgiving :goodvibes

ETA: I wanted to include the Mousesavers link to historical information for anyone who didn't know how to access it :)

I haven't heard anything about room discounts yet. I always compare the savings between FD and a room discount. So I'm waiting for it myself.

:cheer2: So happy for you! I still have 121 days...seems so far away still. But I'm having a great summer, spending lots of time with people I love, so I'm trying not to wish my time away. Plus I have a grandbaby coming in October, so that's something else to look forward to. ::yes::

Congratulations on the new grandbaby coming! So exciting, my sister will be having another baby after we get back so that's something nice to look forward to too!

Congrats. We hit ours on Tuesday

Thank you everyone!!!:flower3:We really are so excited!!:cool1:And I love your countdown chain! I should have had my daughter pose with ours like that. I took a picture of it hanging up but it's so hard to see.

Good Morning Everyone! I have been trying to read through this thread. I gave up and jumped to the end. Lol

I am hoping to take a trip to WDW late Nov to early December. I am hoping that my sister will take the plunge and go with me. I am dying to see the parks and resorts with holiday decorations and do CP, etc. I know she will love being there at that time as well as she goes all out decorating for most all holidays. This will be in honor of her 50th bday. She has two boys ages 15 and 12 and a type A DH all of whom do not care to spend time looking at holiday decorations and shopping Disney stores. They always want to go snow or water skiing, hiking, fishing, etc. So I thought the two of us should try to take a few days to do something for ourselves for a change. She is waffling about it. We are supposed to talk more seriously today after her house guests leave.

She wants to stay at Boardwalk Inn and I want to stay at a Moderate like Port Orleans. Hoping to time arrival Nov 27-29 to see if we can get free dining. Do you know if it is still available?

I am so excited about going for the holidays!

I wish I had a sister I wanted to travel with! Mine is so demanding and picky, it would not be a fun trip!:rotfl: Glad you joined our group! I think your sister would love the mods, especially POR or POFQ. Hopefully there will be some free dining options that meet your needs. Also, I think Pop might be a good fit for the two of you if you can talk her into a value.

I always compare as well, but this is a value trip, so I'm pretty sure the free dining will trump room discount. I once received a 40% offer via snail mail and didn't even realize how great that was!!! :crazy2: THAT won't happen again!:rolleyes2

One day on here and I already added a day to our trip! We decided to come in on the evening of the 9th that way we have the full day on the 10th and aren't exhausted from flying at the crack of dawn. We also changed our resort to All Star Music so that we could just get a standard room. SO...ultimately changing resorts, adding a day, and changing our fight saved us $100!! Woo woo!

:cool1:

Messed with ADRs again last night - MUCH happier with these!

Moved Narcoossee to our arrival night - planning on Wishes from the GF dock at 8pm and then we have an 8:50 ADR. Hoping to catch the EWP from a window table when it comes through around 9:15.

Moved Boma to our MVMCP night instead of 1900 Park Fare. That way we'll have a much longer rest period midday since we won't have to leave our hotel at 3:45 to make a 5:00 ADR over at the GF. It will be less rushed that way!

Moved our Cape May Cafe a bit later - to 7:05 - so that we are certain to make it after the 5pm Candlelight Processional.

Fit in Earl of Sandwich on our resort day! Planning on heading there for lunch and taking the boat over to POR/POFQ to see the resorts and snag some beignets.

Moved the California Grill to 5:30 on our Wishes Dessert Party night. We'll see the sunset and the Castle lighting from the CG and then have about a 3.5 hour break before the dessert party.

Moved Raglan Road earlier - to 7pm - so that we'll have time to shop after dinner before the stores all close.

Cancelled Crystal Palace and booked 1900 Park Fare on our departure day for dinner. 1900 Park Fare at 4:55, MSEP at 7pm, and Wishes at 8pm.

Everything looks great!!! I can't believe all those ressies could be moved. Amazing!

Got to see the babies today! They are so tiny. Also got to see my sister in law. Still in ICU, but will be moving up to the maternity ward this afternoon!

So thankful everything is going well.

Well, since ya'll haven't been so chatty today :upsidedow (I know, better things to do and all that.:rotfl:)...... I was just in the Disney site playing around with upgrading our reservation at the WL. I really, really want the CL level. It is still available with free dining. But since we already have added the Deluxe Dining plan this just pushes the cost to far over the top. The trip would be over $6300 for 2 people for 9 days. Yeah.......not going there. But anyway, the live chat popped up. So I told him that I was thinking about upgrading us from courtyard view and that we already have the DDP. He said unless we were going to spend alot of time at the resort it may not be worth it to us. I told him that I appreciated his honesty. He asked if he could be of any further help and I asked if he knew when BOG would open. He said it is supposed to be PRIOR to Thanksgiving. And to keep checking back. I know we have to take all of this with a grain of salt.....................But I sure hope this has some merit to it. :goodvibes

Thats nice he was so helpful and gave good info. Hopefully he was right about BOG. I have a space saved in case its open when we are there.

here are all the finished shirts...im sooo tired now lol![/QUOTE]

Mommyof3 - Thats a lot of work. They all look great! Do they last long after you wash them?

I know we are getting so excited. We made our chain at 130 days.

Very cute. Count downs are fun. Ours is hanging around our front window. 120 days to go!!!!!

Doing our Double Digit Dance today!!!:dancer:party::dancer: Just 99 days to go!!! Woo-hoo!!!

Woo Hoo! :cool1:

That would be so nice to go with your sister and see all the Christmas decorations and go shopping. My DH doesn't want to go to downtown disney beacause as he says he'll just be standing around holding bags Ha Ha.

very cute!!!!

Good Evening everyone!!

Been kind of a lzay weekend for us with our girls away. They will be home next sunday and I can't wait to see them. It is just too quiet here in the house without them and I miss them :( Anyway, watching the Olympics - I love the swimming and gymnastics- can't wait to see the US Women perform tonight. Nice to know they are already in first place- GO USA!!

I kind of envy all of you that make the shirts for your trips. There is NO way I can get my DH to wear them or even my girls- to an extent anyway. I am looking so forward to our trip and doing all the new things we will get to experience. Still trying for a Chef Mickey's ADR but not too lucky so far- looking for breakfast on 11/15- not a thing avail :(

Well, I don't know whether to be sad or look at it as fate, buuuuut, neither of the Port Orleans Resorts are available 11/27-12/3. Pop Century is a go though. Now wondering if perhaps we should stay at the Hilton in downtown Disney. Anyone stayed there before?

No, but we stayed at Pop last year and it's wonderful. I would (and am) stay there again in an instant  No off-site for us, ever. We love being in the magic too much.

I haven't seen the Christmas decorations in over 10 years and I CANNOT wait to see them again!

We had the same "issue," but since we've stayed at Pop 3 times already we decided to book AOA since the Little Mermaid rooms will only be 2 months old. Fun!! :thumbsup2
