November 2006 Code/Rate Watch

I really hope bookings are woefully low for the beginning of the month- dining plan would be nice!

All booked up for Nov 4-8. Currently there are 7 of us going, family and friends, staying at All Star Music - one standard and one family suite. Really hoping for a code of some sort. Free dining would be great but we'll take whatever we can get. Plane tickets are purchased, rooms are booked and we already have park tickets. Can't wait to get there!!!!!!!! :goodvibes :goodvibes

Last November (12-19) I got a standard room at POR for $115 + tax.

Sure wish I could go this year. Looking forward to November/December 2007.

I had free dining plan last year--first week of November. Hoping for the same again this year!

Free dining was not in Novmeber last year. There was a room discount and depending on how many people were in your party- it seemed like free dining but it wasn't. We saved over $400 on a 7 night stay at POR last year Halloween week for 2 adults and an infant.

Just subscribing. My son's considering a trip for the Paintball Tournament @ the Sports Complex Nov 5-11. A code could make this possible for him.

Codes are usually posted in the Travel Section of your local newspaper. But the best place to keep up with it is on this website. To apply it to your vacation just tell the CSR that you want to apply code "XXX" to your room rate. If you have already paid you can still utilize a code, just tell them to apply the code to your existing reservation and you can either receive a credit or apply the additional deposit to your reservation. :cool1:

Thnaks JM, is often these discounts come out for November? Does it matter what rate you have already paid? :confused3

The codes are not guaranteed to come out at all but if they do, November codes should be out by the end of September.

It doesn't matter what rate you paid. If you want to use the code just tell them. I believe they cancel your existing ressie and make a new one under the code and then apply whatever deposit you have made to the new ressie. I'ts an easy process and you should not have any problems. :thumbsup2

I don't know if this helps or not; but I did call Disney this AM (Aug. 1, 2006), and ask about a room discount. You can see my room reservation dates below. I am a Florida resident, an annual passholder, and a AAA member by the way. (I reserved my room on May 4, 2006, and all they could give me at that time was the rack rate.)

The CM said that discount amounts will not be posted until about 30 to 45 days before arrival date. So, I need to call again within that time frame.

I also asked if I could simply check in without calling back before my arrival date, and still get a discount; she said "No, you will need to call ahead of time again."

Just for y'all's info.

Enjoy.

:confused3 seems the more I read/investigate the more I need some help please..I am at POP Oct 27 through Nov 17 IF codes come out for these 2 months, I call with the Oct code and ask for it to be applied for the days of my ressie in Oct, then I do the same thing when/if (hoping) Novembers' code comes out? :confused3 :confused3

Thanks, I have an annual pass only if that helps anyone give me answers,

Ruthie

I booked my room for November in April and I got a AAA discount. Maybe you should call back and talk to another CM. A AAA discount is better than no discount. ;) Unless they had no more rooms available that qualify for the AAA discount.

I'm still trying to understand.......how life can be so unfair that I have to work while you spend 3 weeks at WDW!!! :badpc: : LOL.

I do believe that your October code will only be good for the Oct "season" and therefore you will need to call back and apply the November code when and if it comes out.

Have a great time!! I'm green with envy! :lmao:

Generally speaking, Disney goes by season. (Ulike many resorts that charge extra for weekend nights, disney prices stay the same throughout a particular Disney season) If your room rate is X the day you check in, then you will keep that rate for your entire stay. So if you start in one season, and end in another, then your rate will be that same rate for the entire trip. If you look online at the current Disney room rate promotion - you'll notice that even though the rate only goes through September, when you book it, October comes up when you select the check out date (Only August, Sept, and October come up under the promo offer). In the past, codes were relaesed by season. In the case of the current promo, the value season ends on Oct 4, so you can see why they are cutting off the promo at the end of September. Regular season goes October 5 through November 25. If they release a code, it is likely to cover your travel dates entirely, but if it doesn't, whatever the rate is on your first night, that is the deal they will give you for your entire stay. That is one reason why people who have to cross seasons opt for split stays to save money. So no, they aren't likely to release a code for 'just October,' and even if they did, if your stay starts in the promo time, it will be applied to your entire stay, so long as you are staying in the same room under the same reservation.

If this is correct then one could theoretically book their stay starting 12/19/06 and get the "value season" rate straight thru the "holiday season" and save about 40% on their hotel stay. Are you sure that is how it works?
