November 2006 Code/Rate Watch

If this is correct then one could theoretically book their stay starting 12/19/06 and get the "value season" rate straight thru the "holiday season" and save about 40% on their hotel stay. Are you sure that is how it works?

I have checked last day of value season and that rate was applied to my entire stay. I have never been in a holiday season time frame but I'd say as long as your stay is 10 days or less yes value rate would apply to entire stay.

So whether or not you plan to arrive on 12/19 it would be in your best interest to book the nights stay just to get the lower rate?

Ok, look at the flip side. If you book during regular season and split your stay into the value season does that mean that you have to pay the higher rate throughout your entire stay. Sorry, that doesn't sound right.

It may not be "right", but it's accurate. In that case, you can split your reservation into 2. Then you have to check-out and check-in on the day value season starts and you'll pay the lower rate for the value season portion of the stay.

It just seems to me that WDW would stand to lose a ton of revenue if they allowed everyone to book one nights stay from the value season just to lock in the rate thru the holiday season. Has anyone ever done this? It's a no brainer.....right? Even if you don't plan to arrive until the next day.

I think if you don't show up for the night your reservation starts, they cancel it. But I'm not sure.

It seems to me that last year's codes for the general public came out in Oct., and the BRP rate had already been out for some time. In previous years codes came out sometime in Aug. or Sept. so... does anyone think codes may come out soon??

Last year it was Sept 29 that a code came out for 10/23 to 12/17 (sorry I don't remember the end date since we arrived 10/25). I think BRP had been out for a week or so prior.

I personally think a code may be released late this month. The current offer for the August and Sept rooms had a final booking date of 8/18 (I think). The new promo also starts 10/1 so I would think it would be a tie in for that. But this is pure speculation (and a little wishful thinking! :wizard: ) on my part!

I am already booked for Nov. 12 - 17. Forgive me if this has been asked, but I didn't read all 301 postes!

If a code or a wonderful promo comes out for the time we are already booked, through AAA, I should call my AAA person and asked for the rate, right, they won't just take care of it on their own.

What kind of things have been offered in November?

We went last year in November through AAA and went the rate codes came out I called our t/a. She called Disney right away and got us the code at CBR. We were staying for 5 nites and the code saved us $177.00 off the AAA rate. I plan on calling her again this year as soon as it comes out as we are staying for 7 nites this year!!!

I'm confused :confused3 I thought you couldn't piggy back discounts off AAA. When you say you saved 177.00 does that mean your travel agent switched your reservation to not use a AAA discount but to just use the new code discount? Do you happen to remember when the code came out last year? Thanks!

I'm still trying to understand.......how life can be so unfair that I have to work while you spend 3 weeks at WDW!!! :badpc: : LOL.

I do believe that your October code will only be good for the Oct "season" and therefore you will need to call back and apply the November code when and if it comes out.

Have a great time!! I'm green with envy! :lmao:

My daughter is trying to understand the same thing, all I can say...and I DO everyday, several times a day Thank God for my civil service job :cool1: our contract is such that anytime you work overtime you take the o/t pay OR bank the time..I remind my co-workers all winter long that just remember who scraped the ice off her car and trudged to work when no one else wanted to :rotfl2: thanks for all the info on the codes, but I am handing it all off to a t/a and she can handle it, I am getting a headache :rotfl: Ruthie

I here ya! My family and I will also be there from 11/18-11/25 for our First Ever Family Vacation to Disney World. I'm soooo excited and can't wait. We are staying at the All-Stars Sports Resort, not my first choice but my 9 year old son spotted it on the site and went crazy  . Waiting impatiently only 106 days till we leave. :dance3: I booked through the disney website and purchased MYW w/dining plan and hoping for a really good code. Keep me posted.
