Hey guys
thanks
i guess this is what we all discussed when were were at CC and the elevator lobby.... our kids.
Lamps i don't want to make a bet....but i am sure come November we will have more Jeff and Jess stories.

I just hope none of them beat my stories! :rotfl:

BTW-his attitude has been great this week, i think he knows he did good.
I hope he remembers this feeling more than other types of emotions.

Happy St. Patricks Day!

Today is DD Erins 10th Birthday. (Thus, the name Erin, which means Ireland) And my side of the family were Irish. We are taking her out to dinner tonite at her favorite place, then Saturday we have the skating rink(roller, not ice) rented for her party. Her birthday is special for us because she was a preemie. And she scared us for a few weeks. She was supposed to be named April... But Kelli was in a car accident thatHard to believe it now, when I see how big and strong she has become.

But I will be missing in action Saturday. I have a fishing trip to Lake Fork lined up. It is one of the premier bass lakes in the nation. A buddy has a log cabin lake house that we are staying at. There are 6 or 7 of us, and we will fish, play poker, and drink beer. Not necessarily in that order...Nice weather predicted, so I am outta here at 7AM Friday!

Happy B-Day Erin!!!! :rockband:

Well, tonight is the night a the club house to see if I get my varience for our in ground pool!!! Two months of B.S. and still unsure if I'll get it....

Hey, don't want to put a damper on the cruise ship buisness but my "girlfriend" had told me that there has been concerns for the past couple of years and yes, they do have precautions in place........

Terrorists Train For Attacks on the Sea
Report Says Militant Groups Training Scuba Divers

Authorities worry scuba divers could target ships with more accuracy than an explosive-laden boat like the one used in the USS Cole blast in 2000 in Yemen.

MANILA, Philippines (March 18) - Two of the most dangerous al-Qaida-linked groups in Southeast Asia are working together to train militants in scuba diving for seaborne terror attacks, according to the interrogation of a recently captured guerrilla.

The ominous development is outlined in a Philippine military report obtained Thursday by The Associated Press that also notes increasing collaboration among the Muslim militants in other areas, including financing and explosives, as extremists plot new ways to strike.

In the past year, the Indonesia-based Jemaah Islamiyah has given Abu Sayyaf militants in the Philippines at least $18,500 for explosives training alone, the report said.

The report comes a month after the U.S. Coast Guard announced it is seeking to better protect the nation's ports from terrorist attacks by scuba divers by developing a sonar system that can distinguish human swimmers from dolphins.

Concerns about terrorist strikes by scuba divers were raised three years ago after the FBI announced it was investigating whether al-Qaida operatives took scuba training to help blow up ships at anchor, power plants, bridges, depots or other waterfront targets.

Authorities fear scuba divers could target ships with more accuracy than a small explosive-laden boat like the one used in the USS Cole blast that killed 17 sailors in 2000 in Yemen.

According to the Philippine report, an Abu Sayyaf suspect in a deadly bus bombing in Manila on Feb. 14 - Gamal Baharan - described how he and other seasoned guerrillas took scuba diving lessons as part of a plot for an attack at sea.

Jenna says Happy Bday Erin!

Lamps- thanks for the reading material-i will not share that with the wife!
Spring is on its way! Oh man, she read this over my shoulder

i had the top down yesterday, i also stopped by a tire store. next month i have to replace the two back tires. The tire guy says, "that i must be doing something more than just letting the back end swing out a little"! It only has 15k miles on it and the back tires need replacing and the front can go at least another 10K! :rolleyes2

Last weekend the girls had the American Challange Nationals in Indy. Jenna came in first and jessica came in 4th. This wednesday we are headding to Orlando.
We will stay one night, two days at Portofino. Do Universal. Then to the Gayloard Palms for the COA Nationals. Then two days doing things we have not done in Orlando. Maybe a waterpark. Does anyone have any suggestions? We always do the parks when we go.

The old owner of the store i work at came in yesterday telling us about the house he built on St. Croix.........I SO NEED A VACATION NOW!!!! :confused3 Doogie.....I got it bad, top down heat on all night last night......60's by Wednesday.....Easter at our house and I "volunteered" to drive to Ft. Wayne to pick up the "honey baked" ham for dinner........It better be 60's, I'm taking my baby for a "run". John, tires? 15k? Turn that traction control on... :rotfl2:

we are at 8 months.............i'm having a konk kooler for everyone :)

hmmmmmmmm.just noticed my countdown stopped???

John,

Cograts with the girls!! uhhh eeerrr....Incase Julia is reading... I mean your DDs competitions. Yes, Cinci made the Hawkeyes look like a serious case of lethargy. How about Texas Tech!! Gotta love Bob Knight. How's the fitness going? I was sick most of the month of Feb, haven't lost a bit of weight but got 14 miles in today.

Lamps, there's no hope in getting the baby out this week. Rain and 40s. Have you ever turned the traction control off? I'm scared to.
My brother was racing in Texas last weekend and got t-boned after he'd spun in a turn. Cracked the engine block and tore the back half of the car off, wheels, gearbox wing and all. He's fine, but not a happy camper.

Willie, hope the beer drinking and fishin' went well. You'll have to post a report. DS got a "Banjo Minnow" set for his B-day. You ever use them? I spoke with a guy today who says they really work.

Well Doogie
We had a Birthday Party up at the club for Jeff
I had the "Club" sing happy BDAY to Jeff.
Jeff claims that i was there to watch the game and not for his bday.
ummm, well his day is wednesday and we will be riding the Hulk!

Well, this is the same thing i have been saying everytime these past few years......GO REDS!!

My neighbor talked me into pushing the button off last summer.....
Unlike you guys who look good in a vette....I do "Drive" my car.

Lamps- HBH is only 5 miles from my house, and you have to drive to FT Wayne, WOW!!

Hi Maria,

Welcome to the Thanksgiving Disney 2005 cruise meet board. We have approximately 20 DIS members who have signed up on this link so far. We have put together a spread sheet with the member names on it, staterooms, where you are from, dining time, if children are going with you and their ages and names. If you would like a copy. Please PM me with your email address and I will foward one to you via email.

As you can probably read/see. some of our fellow cruisers know each other pretty well. Some of us have sailed before together. This thread originally started out with a bunch of us (Easter Bunnies) from the Easter 2004 cruise rebooking while on board for the Thanksgiving 2005 cruise. Well, The thread was pretty quiet with various other DIS'ers joining in as they rebooked from their cruises. Then along came the Thanksgiving 04 cruisers (Turkey Hawks) as I like to call them. A bunch of them have rebooked for this yrs Thanksgiving cruise.

And since then our quiet thread has EXPLODED with posts. It is a great way to get to know each other before we sail. There is a web site also with some good info for our cruise and pics of some of us.

I don't know the link address but I'm sure it will get posted by the webmaster.

Anyway, welcome and enjoy. Don't be bashful about posting even though you don't know anyone. There is another Florida family "Icemanpad" sailing with us also.

Kennyk  :wave2:

Welcome aboard Maria and DH! Need I say that this will be THE BEST SAILING OF THE YEAR! With the best folks you will ever meet!

Yes, Doogie, it was a nice weekend to be on lake Fork! Fantastic weather. Sunny and mid 70's. Low humidity. We had 7 guys show up. We all went to high school together in the "mid 70's", too! :rotfl2: I often say that we must be pretty pathetic to still be hanging around with friends we made in HS! The lake house that my friend built was a fantastic log cabin. We fished, played poker, threw lots of horseshoes, and oh yes drank a little beer and Crown Royal. I grilled up some fish and ribeyes that came out pretty darn good. If can say so myself. We kicked back and relived our past glories on the football fields, old girlfriends, old friends that are gone, etc.
The friend that owns the cabin is a high level Veep with Brinks. You would not expect him to pop in his favorite CD and have it playing music from the "G-Unit"(gansta rap) He has liked that kind of crapola music since we were kids(Tone Loc?). So I kept pulling his CD and hiding it, and putting in my custom made "Willie's Beach Tunes" and a mixed CD of Clapton,James Gang, and some country. I had to threaten to frisbee the X rated CD across the lake!
Saturday morning at 6:00 AM, having coffee on the deck looking out over a beautiful lake, and listening to gansta rap! It was really funny. For about 15 seconds. We have all been friends long enough that it is impossible to make each other mad. So he took the "dog cussin" I gave him pretty well.
It was a great, great weekend.
Doogie, I did not know Lincoln was a bass angler! I do not keep up with the latest lues like I used to. I used to tournament fish, and had some sponsors that would send me lures to field test for them. Bring him down here, and I will take him to lake Sam Rayburn. One of the best bass lakes in the country.

Willie

Welcome to the boards, Maria--it's nice to have another Floridian in the group!!

John--If you are thinking waterpark---definitely go to Blizzard Beach. In our opinion, it is the best of the water parks. However, Typhoon Lagoon now has a new water roller coaster.

Willie-it sounds like you had a great weekend!!

We just had a very nice weekend at WDW. The weather was perfect--70 degrees and sunny. Now, it's back to reality!!

Lisa

Lisa-Thanks!DH and I are looking forward to this cruise. It is great to hear that you and family are also in FL.I am glad the weather cooperated for you all this weekend at WDW.The weather here in Gator territory has been crazy. We had the heat on late last week, and last night we have to give up and put ac on.Hopefully, this coming up weekend we will all have nice weather!

Maria
