Silver, I'm sailing xmas 06. Gave my deposit about a month ago!! The Fargos came over yesterday and are considering it.....Turkeyday 05....

Like Willie in Texas, we are enjoying 70s here in Florida this weekend too!! Next weekend we will be taking a quick trip to WDW for their annual teddy bear show. Hopefully, we will have the same luck w/ crowds as Teresa is having this weekend!!

I don't want to hear about the weather!! It's 27 out right now, this time of year we're supposed to be skirting 50s. I ran 13 this morning, under cloudy skies, and wind. We've been fighting the "crud" for most of Feb.

Wille, there's some loaded up contracts on the timeshare store w/ two years worth of banked points... so a 150 pt contract would net you 450. DVC is also offering some add-on incentive, buy a 120 pt mininmum and they'll throw in 2004 points, an additional 1 time use of a "Free" 100 points and no dues on the 2005 points. I'd love to get to that 1000pt mark, but it's not logical... driven on emotion, however I keep trying to justify it.

Lamps, hows the sales of those big SUVs going now that gas is $2.15+ ? I've got a buddy who works at the Lexus/Hummer dealership here in town and he says sales have gone down. Hummer wasn't going to give dealers the H3 unless they built a new showroom so they dropped two mil on a Hummer showroom. WOW... like a said, what a racket!!

Doogie, can't give away the new jeep and it's actually a nice truck, haven't sold a new Durango in I don't know have long....But, people with B.K.'s and bad credit just keep on buying. The Hummer, Caddy store up the street is building an "off road" track for the Hummers and yes, making them build a showroom also......but they are losing their butts on them.....anywhere from 3-9k under invoice Actually we went to the auction 2 weeks ago and they had 600 Dodge Dakotas with less than 300 miles going thru that were Chrysler cars.....never been titled. They figure it's cheaper to lose money at the auction rather than have them sit at the factory and not build anymore........

Lamps, I love cars . I need to talk to you over a few Millers during T-day. How's the family party going? Kim spazzin' out over kids spilling drinks and food in the new crib? She and Jackie need to get together, they sound like two peas in a pod. I'm hoping to get to Indy soon to visit my brother and may take my DD to a figure skating competition there in Aug.

bfosbenner, I saw some of your rent posts on the DVC board. Wish you we sailing next year.

Y'all can probably tell since I'm posting @ 8 on a Sat night, we don't have anything going on this evening. IT FEELS GREAT TO STAY HOME. DS had a b-day party this afternoon and DD was in a b-ball "shooters" tournament.

Ohmom...it was Lampy who gets the great treatment from DCL...he has a "girlfriend" there...she's a real dreamboat who took care of us for last year's Turkey cruise. We were the family stuck in Evansville, IN...Michelle hooked us up with first class seats for a flight out of Charlotte so we wouldn't miss the boat then had a rep waiting at the gate for us. I think there were only 2 families arriving after us, but DCL held the ship for all of us. But those other "special treatments" that Lampy speaks of...I'm not sure...maybe he'll elaborate.

Willie, thanks! I know of so few people who know what pulmonary fibrosis is...most think cystic fibrosis when I say it. He is adjusting nicely to the assisted living...heading over in an hour to take him to a family get together...my cousin just got home from Iraq...his second tour there only this time the tank he was in was hit and overturned on him...luckily he wasn't injured badly...so the whole gang is celebrating his return.

And Teresa, thanks so much for the calls from WDW...it's nice to vacation via buddies!

Ah, geez...I knew I'd forget to post what I meant to when I signed on today...

Lampy...you fly out of Indy a lot? What is their track record for ya? I'm pricing airfare for our Christmas trip to WDW and Indy is almost $100 cheaper than Nashville and half the cost of St. Louis...nope...not a chance with Evansville this time. Any hotels you've stayed at near the airport you could suggest? Thanks for the help!

And hey, am I getting the feeling that the turkeys and easter bunnies might turn into Christmas trees for 2006??? Might have to start looking into that cruise!

Momsgoofy, we used to fly out of Midway, but use Indy now. We stayed at the Adams Mark hotel the night before. Spend the night and park for free all week and get a free shuttle to and from the terminal. About a 5 minute ride. Definately flying out of Indy next time and it WAS 1/2 the price of Chicago.
John, sounds like you and Kim have the same thing, she has been on the couch since Monday. Had Jessica b-day party yeaterday and she couldn't wait for all to leave.......

Sooo here's a story
My Son Jeff....
turns 16 next wednesday....
Sunday night he comes running down the steps at 8:30 at night yells at me to take him to his girlfriends house(15 miles away). i said no(extreme home is on) he says that one of her friends wants to commit suicide. I blow him off saying don't get involved! 20 min later he says he just saved this persons life.
He called 911, got transfered 3 times to the city and county where this person lives. he does not know the last name so he gives his girlfriends phone number. His girlfriends mother is the police dispatcher for the city! Long story short...we get a phone call from the kid thanking Jeff for caring!

Remember....this is my same son who i have other issues with. Maybe he is learning something after all!

John, it's a good feeling when our kids do something so wonderful...makes us stop and realize we've been doing something right all these years. I'm glad he was able to do what he did for the guy...give him a big attaboy for me!

Don't these kids keep surprising ya? I know you guys have had some issues, but just remember that we hold these kids to much higher standards than our parents held us to. I know I do. And from what I know of you and Julia, you guys do also.
Keep chugging along being the best parent you can. That is all we can do. That, and trust in the Big Guy to guide our decisions!

Here's an atta boy for Jeff from "Ron Bon Jovi" also. Ya know John, they are "teens" and I know that I did much worse when I was their age (as I'm sure you did too) but as Willie said....we hold them to a "higher standard". No matter how much trouble a teen gets or got into I always judge them as to how they "act" around other adults with and without their parents. Some kids have "issues" but are always respectful around other adults. Those are the ones (INHO) that are just "being teens" pushing the envelope. Others , it doesn't matter whose around they are just.....well this is a Disney board......I saw that Jeff had good parents and he WAS always respectful around me so I figured he'd be O.K. Sometimes they just need that "shock" to see the light. True story.......I know we talked 'bout Jess and some of those "issues" we had.....well we have this "agreement". Wherever you are whenever it is if you feel threatened of get in trouble or if you suspect trouble is comming....call. I'll go get you anytime....NO QUESTIONS ASKED!!!! That's why she has the nextel.....well a couple Fridays ago she was spending the night at a friends house and the cell phone rings at 12:15 a.m. It's Jess saying "can you come and get me at _____'s house......NOW! I said "yes, are you o.k.?" she said "I'm fine you just need to come get me now!" I pick her up she gets in the truck and doesn't even change the am radio station.....I say nothing. The are you o.k. she said "yes" I said "you want to talk about what happened"? She said "does Mom need to know?" Hmmmmm where do you go there....I said "I'm not going to run and tell her but if she asks.......I do have to sleep with her" She laughed. I guys a couple of "boys" snock into the lover level of her friends house and hid in her friends dads office and he found them and went "nuts". She was scared!! It's the best thing that happened.....no issues since......maybe a good thing can come of someting that could have been horrible.......Congrats

What am I doing being serious....it's 50 degrees and I have a cold one in hand....Weds. my day off.......
