Welcome aboard Maria and DH! Need I say that this will be THE BEST SAILING OF THE YEAR! With the best folks you will ever meet!
Yes, Doogie, it was a nice weekend to be on lake Fork! Fantastic weather. Sunny and mid 70's. Low humidity. We had 7 guys show up. We all went to high school together in the "mid 70's", too!

I often say that we must be pretty pathetic to still be hanging around with friends we made in HS! The lake house that my friend built was a fantastic log cabin. We fished, played poker, threw lots of horseshoes, and oh yes drank a little beer and Crown Royal. I grilled up some fish and ribeyes that came out pretty darn good. If can say so myself. We kicked back and relived our past glories on the football fields, old girlfriends, old friends that are gone, etc.
The friend that owns the cabin is a high level Veep with Brinks. You would not expect him to pop in his favorite CD and have it playing music from the "G-Unit"(gansta rap) He has liked that kind of crapola music since we were kids(Tone Loc?). So I kept pulling his CD and hiding it, and putting in my custom made "Willie's Beach Tunes" and a mixed CD of Clapton,James Gang, and some country. I had to threaten to frisbee the X rated CD across the lake!
Saturday morning at 6:00 AM, having coffee on the deck looking out over a beautiful lake, and listening to gansta rap! It was really funny. For about 15 seconds. We have all been friends long enough that it is impossible to make each other mad. So he took the "dog cussin" I gave him pretty well.
It was a great, great weekend.
Doogie, I did not know Lincoln was a bass angler! I do not keep up with the latest lues like I used to. I used to tournament fish, and had some sponsors that would send me lures to field test for them. Bring him down here, and I will take him to lake Sam Rayburn. One of the best bass lakes in the country.
