Julia,
make sure John is a little more sober next time he hijacks the keyboard! He is starting to make sense to Lampy. So you know he must be toasted! LOL

You guys are too much.

Hey Guys- Wish us luck this weekend. I am coaching Hayley and Erin's teams in the state soccer playoffs. I have been running the "Pooh" out of them to work off all of that cruise food!

Speaking of Pooh, I heard the best Tigger joke on the cruise at the bingo.

LOL...

He is sober!!! he just having Mouse withdrawals...he's been on the computer all day in and out...what can I say? :badpc:

Anyway, I'm concern what Cinderella and Zeke might think of my John. He's 40 years old and wants to be a KID. I don't want to scare them away, they sound nice. :)

I do miss other DIS board members...there are others I haven't heard much. I just got finished unpacking my bags. TOO much laundry!!! :scared1:

How is Kelli doing? She looks like she had a lot of sun. My girls miss your girls, they had fun and can't wait for Thanksgiving '05.

My Ben is 33 and he IS a big kid! Star Wars Lego, Pokemon on the Game Boy, Model Trains - he and my ds(6) fight over toys. :rolleyes1 He's not a drinker but he is a huge Disney fan!

Aren't you just a sweet group of people - can't wait until next November! It will be me (Michele) and Ben and we are NOT bringing ds6 and dd4. HA!

:) Michele

Michele, we, as a group (set up by Willie) had brunch in Palo together. We had to many to be in one big group, so we were on different days. We had such a good time! I am all for doing that again--for us it was on the first day at sea, and it was great really talking with the other adults on the cruise. That is another way we got to know each other. We also had a meet everynight for anyone who wanted to go in Diversions, or in the Rockin Bar D. That is where we got to see the REAL Turkey Day Gang! They are a very shy group, that would never go onstage to portray Bon Jovi, The village people, or one of the Robert Palmer girls. :rockband:

Hey Texas!
I did not notice before!
We have another Buckeye on Board

I think i will not shock the Turkey Gang if i admit that i am BIG KID!
I call it my Yeng- Yang
My DS15 took over my toys but i do have one in the garage.

So everyone, to make some time go by these next few months...
Tell us your favorite Mouse times.

Mine was celebrating my...36th, 38th and 40th birthday dinner at Chef Micky's with my family, and of course embarassing them while i was in the moment! :earboy2:

OH MY! our little thread has been hopping! i'm so glad to see a great bunch of dis'ers who loved their turkey cruise so much they rebooked to go with us next year!

btw -- just wanted to add there are 6 more Buckeyes :) My family of 4 and my parents are booked for this cruise. I live outside of Columbus, they live in Dayton and my brother whom we are trying to convince to go too lives in Cinnci! see - it is a small world after all :)

Oh! Looks like my dh and I will be the "senior citizens" in this group. We will both be 51 next year :-O

Our kids will be 19, 17, 14 and 9. That is, if they all come with -- I'm wondering about the 19yo. She might just think its more fun to stay home alone.

We will be staying at the Comfort Suites in Laporte. Erins team plays in Laporte and Hayley in Deer Park at 9:30,12:30,3:30 Saturday, and maybe some games Sunday, if we advance. It looks like we will playing in the rain. I think tonite we are going to hit Salt Grass Steakhouse at Kemah around 7:30. It is my favorite. If you and Mark are around, come on over.

Driving down the interstate
Running thirty minutes late
Singing Margaritaville and minding my own
Some foreign car driver with the road rage attitude
Pulled up beside me talking on his cell phone
He started yelling at me like I did something wrong
He flipped me the bird an' then he was gone

Some beach somewhere
There's a big umbrella casting shade over a empty chair
Palm trees are growing and a warm breezes a blowing
I picture myself sitting there
On Some beach somewhere

I circled the parking lot trying to find a spot
Just big enough to park my old truck
A man with a big cigar was getting into his car
I stopped and I waited for him to back up
From out of no where a Mercedes Benz
Came cursing up and whipped right in

Some beach somewhere
There's no where to go when you got all day to get there
There's cold margaritas and hot Senoritas smiling with long dark hair
On some beach somewhere

I sit in that waiting room
It seemed like all afternoon
The nurse finally said that doc's ready for you
You're not gonna feel a thing he'll give you some Novocaine
That tooth will be fine in a minute or two
But he stuck that needle down deep in my gum
And he started drilling before I was numb

Some beach somewhere
There's a beautiful sunset burning up that atmosphere
There's music and dancing and lovers romancing
In the soft evening air
Some beach somewhere
Some beach somewhere

Does this song say CRUISE to you? LOL

Willie--very good w/ the song, now lets hear you sing it!! Hope your daughters have a great time during the soccer weekend!!

Our favorite Disney memory is having our wedding ceremony at the wedding pavillion and then the reception/dinner at the Grand Floridian. I truly felt like Cinderella w/ my 6'8'' prince charming!!

My other favorite Disney memory is meeting the turkey day gang and having a wonderful thanksgiving vacation on the disney magic!! I miss ya'll and am looking forward to the turkey day gang adventure of 05.

You Diser's are too much..

But Zeke11, My wife and I have you beat as seniors, I'll be close to 56 (Dec) and my wife will be 54. We have three kids, Daughter 31, son 30, and another son 26. two grandkids, one 12, the other 5, another on the way. Yippe grandparents. My daughter and grandson (12) will be cruising with us.

I really haven't had much time to post, with working for "The Disney Store" :earboy2: this is a pretty busy time of year.

But after the holidays, we'll get down to business.

Till then I'm really enjoying this action on our tiny meet thread.

Ok talented friends! I have a project for you!

I am surprising my family with this Turkey Day cruise. You see, we sailed on the Wonder last September. Took a chance during hurrican season and we paid royally. Our 4-night cruise was shortened by a day and a half because of Hurricane Jeanne. We had to endure a 4-hour bus ride to Port Everglades and didn't get to see the Disney terminal. We didnt' get that great welcome aboard greeting. Nor was there a sailaway party. Worst of all -- NO CASTAWAY CAY.

I made up my mind while on the cruise that we were going to do it again, the right way next time.

So I booked this cruise and plan for it to be "opened" on Christmas as a surprise. I need some type of cute poem -- something that emphasizes the TWO CC days and the fact that our first cruise was a major bomb.

What can you folks come up with??

Thanks!
Kris

Willie that song reminds me of driving to Home Depot......soory 05 sailors just an inside joke.....

John, back to theories.........I, for what ever reason have a unbelieveable memory when it comes to numbers and customers my sales people have talked to. So I have been asked, "with as much beer as you drink, how can you have any brain cells left?" To where I answer with the "buffalo theory".

.......If a heard of buffalo are only as fast as the slowest in the heard, and preditors are able to catch and kill the slowest, that means in theory.......the heard gets faster, right?????
.........Soooooo, if alcohol kills brain cells, and it kills the slower ones like a heard of buffalo technically, it makes me smarter.....right?

Willie!!!!!!!!! WHERE DID OUR THREAD GO?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

I don't know if this will help get your creative juices going or not, but here's what I did. On our anniversary a couple weeks ago, I gave dh a bag. On the bag was written:
Inside this bag are seven clues
And no, you do not get to choose
Just go in order, 1.....2.....3
To try and solve the mystery

Each clue was a scrapbooking tag that had a numbered tag attached. Clue #1 had a "7" on it (7 night cruise for our 7th anniversary), clue #2 had a turkey on it (spending Thanksgiving on the cruise), clue #5 had a Mickey sticker (Disney Cruise) etc. His first guess was a week at WDW at the Beach Club but he finally caught on.

Words that rhyme with Cruise - choose, clues, dues, lose, news, ruse
Castaway Cay: Cruisetastrophe
Two: blue, crew, due, few, true, zoo
Hurricane - disdain, pain

Well, you get my drift. Hope that helps a little!
:) Michele

Wake up, Wake Up where ever your are. :cool1:

You Turkey Gang 04 cruiser's were going Hot and Heavy and you disappeared off the face of the earth. :teleport:

I know this is Sunday and we all must be recovering from a full week of being off the ship now. But now the Magic :wizard: really begins as the planning for the next cruise gets underway.

We are Here We are Here We are Here!!

We had robotics tournaments this weekend and Willie and the gang had soccer tournaments.

How about a list of rooms reserved? Where will everyone be? We are supposed to be in 5016 and 5018 :flower1:

HEY Lampy--I saw your sig changed. Are you on our cruise now?

Silver7,

Thanks, I've been at work for the last two days at "TDS". the place was nutszo. We had buy a toy get another for free at equal or lesser valve. The toys were flying off the shelves. By the end of the evening, the store looked like a bomb went off. It took hours to put it back together for the next days events.

My Grandson is so into Lego's. he is constantly building things with all those remote controls. he sometimes has it tied into one of our computers. He had set up something once to record movement in the Living Room when someone sat on the couch. Well we found out that when everyone left for the day to go to work or school, MY dog, dalamation, would go to sleep on that couch, even though she had her own recliner love seat with lambs wool cover and pillow.

Glad to see we are still all here.

By the way, we're in room 6540, we have second seating dining.

kennyk

Hey Kenny K--it was a State First Lego League tournament that my ds was refereeing. Both my sons are involved with competitive robotics teams, one is FIRST (For inspriration, recognition of science and technology), and the other is BEST (just a name). They are both esentially a competition where you are given a task, parts, and 6 weeks to build a robot to do the task. First is done by the high schooler, and Best is in middle school, but mostly high schools participate. My high schooler mentors two lego league teams--it sounds like your grandson would be perfect for a team!

On a cruise note--when we rebooked we asked for all our reservations to be linked so we would be in the same rotation. I think 5J's took care of that. Most of us wanted early dining but are waitlisted for it.
