Hi Melissa & and all our new Turkey Day 2004 Cruisers.

WELCOME! WELCOME! WELCOME!

This is really neat, two bunch of past cruisers. One from Easter 2004 and another from Turkey Day 2004. All together for a fun filled cruise for Turkey day 2005.

I can't wait.

Mellisa, I added on to SSR. Waiting to close. Hope your holiday was enjoyable.

After the holidays I'll put together a spread sheet with everybodies info, till then let's just keep posting and enjoy all our new found friends.

Isn't the DIS Boards great.

This group is a lot of fun, but I have to admit that I'm a wee bit intimidated! Everyone knows each other already and I feel like I'm not part of the gang. Its hard to jump into a group that are already buddies. So I haven't posted much!

PS. Cinderella is my favorite character, in fact on the night of Formal wear on the cruise, I wore my blue dress and had my hair in an up do style...I felt like a princess awaiting for my prince.

Cindy and Zeke--none of the Turkey Day cruisers had met before last week--Jump in and join the fun!
--where are ya from? are you taking kids? If so, how old are they?

We are from Houston, where dh is a professor at Rice University. I am a stay at home mom soon to be newly employed Travel Agent. I have two DS's, 12 and 16. I also have two of the world's largest dachshunds.

Julia your hair was beautiful. princess:

*Lampy sticks toe in to see if the water is still warm*

O.K., I'm working on it!!! We have a trip to Cozumel planned for spring break.....we always take a vacation in the summer with our R.V. Fellow previous disers (although not as fun as this years) are trying to talk us in to another cruise line sometime in October. Then our usual sailing for Thanksgiving......some place in between there I have to do some work.....LOL So, if I can talk the other disers in sailing Thanksgiving.......Looks like I have some sailing (oopppsss, selling) to do!
O.K......rumor mill.......I talked to my "girlfriend" and I guess DCL is trying to find another "port" for the Western for 05 to replace GC. That would be by leverage......

Did you all see what happened to the prices of this sailing? It's 800.00 more from this year to next.....the word must be out that the "Turkey day gang" is returning!!!

Howdy Kris and Michelle!

Don't worry, I do not have a clue who most of the guys and gals are on this thread. I am only familiar with the folks I just cruised with. But I have a feeling by the time we cruise, we will all have a pretty good idea who everyone is. This looks like a good bunch to get to know! Just feel free to post on in! Don't worry about getting flamed on this thread! We have enough Texans on this cruise to whip the snot out anyone that wants to get impolite! Believe me, Silver7 from Houston is one tough gal! And the Icemanpad family are all 7 feet tall! And as far as the 5j's are concerned, heck they live in the frozen tundra, so they must be tuff! LOL!

ANYway, as I was saying before I started rattling on, just feel free to post your questions, ideas for DIS Meets, etc.

Hey, did I see Lampy peeking in here?

Question for those 2004 Turkey Day Gang- Was I the only one that really drank a "drink of the day" for every day of the cruise? I even had a"Snowflake" on CC. Did anybody else go through with their pledge?

Willie

*Lampy runs in raises hand to the "drink of the day" question and runs back out*

You know, it was my personal goal to have the drink of the day everyday, and the only one I had was at the sailaway party

New resolution--I WILL have the drink of the day every day next year!

Who is with me??

Hey Lampy
Let me explain it to you this way
A case of beer contains a certain amout of mass.
The more mass the more drag it creates, thus costing more fuel to travel a certain distance. Are you following me yet? I'll go on....
As you know the cost of fuel has been fluctuating all year do to the drag of all beer trucks in the USA! especially Miller Brands! Are you still with me?
By the time friday came about on the cruise, i overheard many people saying how it seemed the the first three days of the cruise seemed to be taking its time. Then the last two days just "flew" by. My therory, are you still with me? Is you emptied the ship from Miller Beer and ship got faster thus explaining why we gained an hour coming back from Cozamel. You see, the cruise line did not break even until we arrived back at CC. Your Brand (Miller) cost the company so much money that they had to charge the next Turkey Gang the difference just to make up the loss. I would suggest next time that you indulge the same amount of Floofy Drinks as this is the same fuel that the ship uses thus not causing drag and most importly our Cabin Rooms will not be as expensive!

If you would like to discus these and other important issues, my neighbor said he will give you a case of Beer just because you are keeping him employed!

Besides that we need Bon Jovi back so we can beat those GO-GO's!

lol!! Did you ever hear of the "buffalo theory"?

Zeke11 and Mom2cinderella
