I just jazz up our wrist bands.I put glitter glue on the embossed area to highlight the area, it looks great. I'm not doing the kids bands because the glitter may come off .In 66 days we are leaving for WDW :sunny: :cool1: I checked out the gas prices in my area,$3.29 or $3.19 with a carwash. I know that the prices will go up this weekend. Fill up every one I'm glad that we do not hav e a Suv! For those that had to have one God bless your heart. We are leaving the minivan at home this week end and taking the car.I may cut the old water hose and keep that in the car incase we park near a compay truck. Lockable gas caps are need now! :moped: :rolleyes1

Great idea! I might try using a permanent marker on the kids bands and see how that looks.

We just realized that our return flight from MCO is through New Orleans! Yikes!

I captured a picture from the Radisson web cam yesterday, checking gas prices... I went back and did it again today (right side of image)....

AWOLTODAY - you may want to see if you can re-route flights ASAP....The airport is presently a stagging area for hospital patients.

Good Luck

What's the worst that could happen? We get stuck at WDW for a few days? Bummer! :cool1: Our flight TO MCO is non-stop. I don't think it'll be a problem to re-route through another airport - but we'll probably have some extra travel time and possibly some added expense. I'm sure we'll have it worked out by the end of the weekend, though.

Must read posts more carefully - it is FROM not TO,,,,,big difference :rotfl2:

i recall that a number of the flights i originaly considered went through new orleans! am very thankful now that ours goes through lax (which makes it pretty much a direct flight for us-45 minutes from sac to lax, then straight thru to orlando).

i would imagine that the airlines are scrambling to reroute as much as possible and anyone who booked on-line may get an email advising them of changes.

i saw on the news last night that carnival cruises was sending ships to house people-so do they just have a bunch of extra ships? or are they canceling low booked cruises?

hubby and were talking about the situation this morning-how if we were in the situation our pay would presumably continue (govenment employee and retiree) but all those folks whose work sites literaly no longer exist! and if you get evacuated out of state the impact on health insurance coverage, public assistance (does not transfer from state to state so i imagine texas is already negotiating with louisiana regarding cash, foodstamps and the like), or accessing any private funds you might have available to you (how do you file a homeowners or renter's insurance claim when you can't even say to what extent your residence was damaged and may not be able to for months to come?). i think things will get a whole lot worse before they get much better :guilty:

on to a lighter topic-am i the only person not concerned about their character breakfast? they did'nt have one the first time we cruised, and the second time the kids were so character diluged that they did'nt care one way or the other so we just skipped it (remember it is just like the video-you see them walking up the hallways, they are around the pools-esp. capt. hook who likes to startle the kids coming down the slide :teeth: :teeth: they are in the kid's clubs...about the only place we did'nt find one was in any of the bars :drinking1 ). i have a feeling that there will be a lot of work on disney's part to accomodate dining changes-it was'nt too bright of them to make a change for cruises AFTER the point in which those cruisers could do the on-line reservations. it might have been a bit wiser to implement at a point far enuf out so that when someone made a reservation online the accurate dining info. had already been input :confused3 . oh well, maybe we'll be lucky and they will dump the "trial" before we board :rolleyes1

with the dining changes, you may be able to eat twice. early sitting can book palos for a late snack or dessert? :earboy2: You are on a cruise. just eat Well I'm off for the next 4 days. Off of work that is. Teena ,I just found your note that you put in with our bands, no wonder we had to pay more postage :rotfl2: ,just kidding. We are looking forward to meeting you.We will be wearing our dis band, t-shirts and landyards. To be true green ,I may paint the wife face while she is sleep, and hide all the mirrors, just wishful thinking

o.k.-i know this is not the budget board but wanted to pass on some great savings at disneydirect: (limited in sizes) boys and girls character p.j.s as low as 3.99 a pair, character sets (like polly pockets only disney characters with snap on costumes) 9.99 each. free shipping and handleing for orders of $50 or more. i grabbed some new pj's and a character set for each of the kids to take with us (rather pay 9.99 for the same thing wdw charges 19.99 for).

4formickey you are too funny! I have to admit that the putrid color of green that the DIS BOARDS has adopted as their color still doesn't sit right with me....but who really cares when you have spent thousands of dollars and so much anticipation for a memory vacation of a lifetime?

I have to admit this to everyone...... :guilty: when "awoltoday" first posted a few pages back I seriously thought until now that we were being stalked! pirate:
Such a scary picture and never really announcing who you were and what you wanted from us. pirate:

It is just yesterday that I realized that you are Choc Marg's other half and that surely you are a keeper! :goodvibes

Don't do that! pirate: You scared me! :guilty: Look back to your first post's response from me and you can read between the lines that I wanted you gone! :smooth: But now I know that you are COOL! :rotfl:

argghh!!! There's nothing scary about pirates! I'm strictly G-rated (at least when the kids are around!). POTC Rules!

potc rocked a lot more before they had to make it politicaly correct!

Very Funny...My husband and I were just talking today about AWOLTODAY! I said I am not sure who he is but his picture is rather scary. Your picture is not the usual run of the mill tinkerbell or Mickey Mouse face! That is ok, I guess any friend (or DH) of Choc_Marg is a friend the group :flower:

Thanks for the bands, we got ours and are wearing them already. Yeah!

hey awoltoday it appears we will be doing an excursion together-we just booked with the same pirate cruise you are on. looks like a lot of fun. i can just see my son jumping off the plank, swimming back over, climbing back on and repeating this over and over again :goodvibes my daughter of course, wants assurance that there won't be any "kid eating" fish in the area :rotfl:
all the reviews i've seen on the other cruising boards just rave about it so i am realy looking forward to it.

anyone else booked anything interesting of late?

p.s. picked up some pirate costume items at walmart today pirate:

Cool Barkley! We'll have a ball in the pirate ship!!

Don't believe AWOL. That's isn't a POTC pic. That's what I get to look at after a very stressful week :rotfl2:

nothing a couple of margaritas, a soak in the hot tub, and a nice facial mask could'nt cure....(well, you might need an extra bottle of conditioner too :rotfl:).

: will make 900 for the board! Now I can go to bed a dream about the wife playing topless volleyball :cloud9: :earseek:
