November 12, 2005....7 Night Eastern...Who Else?

Thanks for the tip - last time I checked you had to book aboard ship....going to website now...

A little warning. The website is a little buggy. The excursion is for 5 & up, but it still listed DS4, so I tried to book him in. It just gave an error saying that the time was no longer available and removed the time from the list. You also have to select your TIME BEFORE picking who's going or it reselects everyone. I did that a couple of times, too. ;) BTW, if you do get it hosed up like I did, just log out (I closed the browser too) and log back in and the times come back.

Thanks - when did you change your siggie to the lifting of the curse of the Barkley Clan -- could be a movie.

Website worked for me...It gave me 3 times but when I went to reserve, I had a whole list of times, so was able to get the morning....

I was playing with rays at Mote Aquariam - cute little puppies :dog: (my words).....

I tried to book this before when they announced it was open and it was not on the list...I forgot completely about trying - so thanks again for the heads up.....That's what the Dis is all about. :disrocks:

LOL... The curse lifting timer has been there since our discussions about it! But, I just added the latin after seeing Barkey's DH sig - his sig has "Peritissimos semper praevidere possumus, rudi autem periculosi sunt" in it, which translates to "Professionals are predictable, it's the amateurs who are dangerous" - but I thought it had something to do with opossums. So, I had to get a bit of latin for my sig, too.

I was checking EVERY day before my vacation for the stingrays, but I forgot to check again when I got back. When I did check, I didn't quite figure out that I could book because of the bugs I was hitting. So, it took another day. I'm not sure what time I took, but it was the first one available (10:00am?). Hopefully, we'll have time to get our fill of snorkeling done before this.

And I totally agree that letting you know is what this site is about!

I booked a fly and park package for our trip. We will be staying near the airport the night before our flight and the $95 rate includ e parking for 14 days. This way it will be a stress free morning going to the airport. We can leave the winter coats in the van and fly away like little birds. :cool1: :sunny:

Hi Everyone,

1 month 5 days to go!!! :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

We booked the Atlantis sub and Lord Sheffield's Pirate Day Cruise. Maybe some activity at Castaway Cay will pop up, maybe not. Who cares. It will be fun regardless :cool1:

Anyone know which night Pirate Night is?

My DS(6) school does not celebrate Halloween; but, they do allow the kids to dress up and parade as story book characters.(PC run amuck, eh?) Problem is my DS wants to be Darth Vader("But Daaaad, Darth Vader is a story book character!" Umm no.) and I don't want to spend for two costumes. I can't tell him about the cruise yet, but I have been hinting how great it would be if he was Captain Hook or one of the other Peter Pan Pirates. It seems to be working. Now to convince his teacher that Captain Hook was a story book character before he was a movie character. pirate: ARRRRRRR.

Lakeworthdad - Pirate night is the same night as our Lord Sheffield trip (St. Maarten). A whole day of pirate actitivies for those of us on Lord Sheffields!

I have (luckily) managed to convince both my kids (DD6 & DS4) to dress as pirates for Halloween this year. Of course DS informed me this morning that he wanted to be Thomas again. Since that is last year's costume, I guess that won't be too bad either! Pirate costumes are already purchased are ready to go!

just point out to teacher that peter pan's author was born in 1860 in kirriemuir scotland-well before and away from disney, movies and the like :goodvibes (my kid's school does'nt even do a halloween thing-too much of a conflict with the ultra conservative christian parents)-needless to say my son chose to be "the devil" this year :rotfl: :rotfl:

anyone else feeling the "time crunch"? we leave less than a month from now! and i keep thinking of things that need to get done. so...........i asked dh to bring home some of that pre-made toll house cookie dough tonight, and i am going to sit down and do a master (of disaster) to do list for all categories:

house,
schools,
mail,
resevations,
packing,
banking...

i know we will have to get the bulk of the house stuff done this weekend-we have the carpet cleaners coming monday (noway was i going to be able to fit them in between thanksgiving and christmas!). it's just all the other "stuff" that is begining to get me overwhelmed.

anyone else feeling this way?

Yes! I am, "feeling this way!"...and you'd better stop mentioning it or I am going to have a coronary! :guilty:

It depends on WHEN you all mention these realities whether my blood pressure rises 10 mm of murcury or 20 mm of murcury. I am in the middle of "work days" now.....and if you ask me on my stretch off....the answer may be different. pirate:

I have many things to do in the next 20 days!

I have to arrange lots of things.
I have to pack lots of things.
I have to read lots of things.
I have to make lots of money.
I have to dream about a lot of things. (woke up the other night at 0300 and couldn't go back to sleep!) :guilty: :guilty: :guilty:
I have to cheer about a lot of things! (I dance around the house and am Happy as Hell....why? the kids have no idea and are asking themselves, "Why?") :rotfl:
I have to chill out and drink another glass of wine. :teeth:

.....I am DIS NURSE and I am the tour guide of the Kontich household. :flower:

.....I have a lot resting on my shoulders.

:rolleyes1 Wake up every one! sear has their mickey mouse tv's on sell. 19 in tv for $29. 97. I just ordered 2 of them. the wife don't want me to get more because I was on my way to ebay. All of that good chrismas money that I would be missing.

it's too early to be awake! but then dh jumped out of bed at 6:30 this morning to do his dive refresher (never usualy see him this enthusiastic when the alarm goes off :) ).

what is a mickey mouse tv?

Hi Shipmates,

I can't believe how close it is getting. This morning when we were on the soccer field and the wind was so cold it didn't feel as bad knowing that in about one month we will be on the ship. :cheer2:

I am really starting to get serious about packing now that we are through with all of our summer clothes.

I have decided that on October 11th I will begin wearing my fantastic green band. That way the reality is that much closer.

Has anyone contacted Shirley at the Perfect Gift??? I thought I should probably get that taken care of soon.

Also, we are thinking of joining the Pirate Cruise anyone know if there is still room????? Am I understanding correctly that we would need to bring our own snorkle gear. We do not have the gear and I am not sure that I want to buy and pack it. Any suggestions?? :confused3

Thanks as always for all of your help. You all are great and we can't wait to me all of you.

if you go to lord sheffied's website they have all the info. you can also email them (they are very quick to respond).

i'm loving this change in the weather!

The mickey mouse tv is an 19 in color set that has little ears on top. Sears has the set at $29. The regular price is about $150. Just found out that sears made an error on their web site and said that they will not honor the $29 price. A lot of people picked up the set at that price but they said that they will cancel the remaining orders.

The last time we heard, it was just us (Barkley, Choc_marg, 4forMickey, and LakeworthDad) booked on Lord Sheffields. That would make 21, with your crew onboard. I'm sure there will be room for your crew, plus another 4 or so. I knew we should have chartered that boat! We would have been pennies ahead and made sure it was strictly a dis meet! It's going to be a ball though! I can't wait to make Barkley walk the plank!

BTW, I'm sure I'm remembering correctly that they have plenty of snorkeling gear on the boat. Their web site does state to bring your own, but there were several posters (on cruise critics?) that stated they supplied snorkeling gear. I'm only bring mine for the familiarity. And if they don't, I'm sure there will be enough time to swap gear with my family (how long can DD6 & DS4 keep a mask on?)

Spent the afternoon at Wally world picking up all of those cruising essentials! We also visited Sears trying to find that Mickey TV! LOL!

sears has the tv's back up on their web site. You must order on line for store pick-up. While suppy last!!!!!

hey guys sorry i havent posted in forever but with school it is so hard to find any free time. i was just wondering if there was any thing new. post and i will try to get on more

4forMickey......thanks for the Disney TV insider....I now found it on the Web and am drolling over it. If we didn't already have 4 tv's in our house, I would be buying it! We are tv and computer mongers....way too many! :teeth:
