November 12, 2005....7 Night Eastern...Who Else?

Sure! We'll make it to 2000....count at least 20 from me just having you guys help me out filling out the cruise docs! I know I will have questions.

Got mine 5 days ago by certified mail....presented to me at my front door by a DCL castmember wearing Mickey gloves! Didn't you? :wizard:

:flower: DIS NURSE :flower:
just kidding.

no cruise docs yet-will probably call at 30 days out.

re. the weight loss-i am within 8 pounds-(and i note this was not just for cruising, i wanted to get back to my previous weight, so when i hit my goal it will be just shy of 40 pounds lost :Pinkbounc).

re .chicken tonight, it went "i feel like chicken tonight, like chicken tonight". it was a jarred sauce to put on chicken.

not sure if you can get into epcot without passes. we're watching both from the rose and crown and i just made sure to get ressis that would allow for viewing.

Barkley, a big congrats on the weight loss. :Pinkbounc  40 pounds is wonderful. I'm sure you feel better too. I know it's hard to do as I lost 40 pounds last year. Still keeping it off, mostly, but I know I feel much much better. :cool1: We will both have to be careful about all that food on the cruise, but still enjoy it too. :confused3

Hi everyone, the tell tale sign that the cruise is coming up fast....the cruise docs just arrived! Not much info about dining rotation, I guess that shows up in the cabin. I'm excited...haven't been looking at the boards too much, so many entries since I last checked :earseek: I'll be picking up the postcards..but I'm not too artsy...they'll have to be less than the awesome one from Arizona!

Take Care! pirate:

PFJay - what exacely did you receive - ie cruise documents. I called DCL and they said "politely", that they are suprised anyone for a Nov. 12th cruise had docs. The docs are sent 10-14 days out and it is way toooo early for our cruise docs to be in the mail.

Maybe you are on a special package for your cruise?

So, just an FYI to the other cruisemates -- let's keep each other posted....

Love the Mickey delivery Disnurse.

CONGRATULATIONS!! :cheer2: :cheer2: I know how tough it is. I hit my wieght watchers goal last week and am on maintainance. I will become a lifetime member the Wednesday before our cruise.

thanks for the congrats on the weight loss-i have to give credit to bottled water (vs. diet coke), and choc. yoplait whips (adding dairy every day-in a pleasing way-def. contributed!).

anyone else feeling "freaked" (a.k.a. overwhelmed)? we leave a month from today and there is so much to do!!! i know that some is unrealistic-i want to get everything cleaned so i don't get faced with thanksgiving and christmas clean up when i get back, the garage is a mess (and i want it cleared out before we leave), i have the carpet guys coming monday so all the impacted rooms must be accessable....aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! why do i do this every time before we go on vacation? (dh insert answer here_______________ :guilty: ).

did manage to find a good resource for altering dh tux tonight (men's wherehouse, although we did not purchase from them). still need to arrange shuttle from home to airport and back (better price than long term parking and much less hassle), and need to firmly decide if we are doing day rate at the mco airport hotel (think it is "yes" so i can collapse!!!). on a positive note-our walmart will be "super walmart" a month ahead of sched. (now 11/1) so i can plan on hitting them vs. safeway for the perishables when i get home from the trip (since i know we will have spent more than we planned).

now-just need to get dd's teacher to commit to what she can do (school work wise) before we leave and what she can makeup over thanksgiving holiday (ds's teacher is much more willing to let him make it up "at his own pace" when we return). need to set up mail hold with the local post office (so i don't get the note about an overstuffed mailbox upon return), arrange for someone to mail the regular bills (so i don't have to schlep them along to florida to mail)....and "pencil in" some de-stress time so i don't spend the first few days "unfreaking :earseek: ".

god i love vacations-just wish i could take one before AND after!

p.s. disnurse-i'm too lazy to page back-is it "bend" you live in? if so i have a funny story to tell you!!! :goodvibes

Well thanks for the reminder about the garage. We need to get the garage cleaned out so we can park in it since when we get back we will probably have snow. :teeth:

i was so proud-with the exception of the large box of 'compu-geek stuff" (yes, dh i love you), i managed to do a massive cleaning 2 falls ago (paid for a dumpster, the whole 9 yards)-then my mom decided to move from her house to a senior's apartment...my brothers thought it would be better for her "state of mind" if we stored some of her c**p in my garage (in case she hated it and wanted to move to a larger place)....still in my garage!!!!!!!!!!! it is so gone A.S.A.F (THANK YOU "E-RING")P.!!!

we have a 3 car garage that cannot fit one car!!!!!!!

my plan is to get the house cleaned this week, move back in the large stuff from the carpet installation (of last october) this weekend-then start hauling stuff to the dump (or footing the bill for another dumpster) prior to departure!!! i have advised dh that santa better bring "non multiple part" items to the kids, and a large filing cabinet to me this year (alternate, more preferable gift would be leaving the phone off the hook/being invisible to everyone until well after the holidays!!!!!!!!).

o.k. enuf ranting-i will start a mantra "i will not stress about vacation-just focus on the hot rock massage"..... :smooth:

We most certainly live in Bend, OR.....and would love to hear "a story" when we can chat on the ship...right now, i agree, is too stressful!

Why is that? :confused3

I am frantically surfing the DIS boards for easy dinners out we can do when we need a break from the Nick Hell-tell, as some refer to it.....I am finding out that the 5 nights we are staying might be a wee too long for anyone's comfort. :guilty:

Anyone want to chime on the Wilderness Lodge?
Beach Club?
Animal Kingdom Lodge?

...... :rotfl: cracks us up that the Wilderness Lodge and all its glory boasts the "flavor of the Northwest"..."Washington, Oregon ,and Idaho"....I saw somewhere on a menu they boast "Tillamook cheese." :rotfl: That is what our noraml everyday like is! I saw the pictures and the theming of the resort and just cracked up! :rotfl:

They probably have pictures on the wall of Timberline Lodge at Mt. Hood, Oregon and other various Cascade Mountain scenery. :goodvibes

We ski it. We hike it. We live it. We love Central Oregon.....Bend, Oregon. :flower:

P.S. Please someone remind me that I want to ask everyone onboard what the heck was up with the thread entitled, "Cranberry and Pineapple"!!!!! Thousands of posts and many more views. What on Earth could be so interesting? :confused3 I have refused to look. My curiosity is now finally getting to me because IT WILL NOT DIE! Please let it die. :guilty:

disnurse you crack me up! it's the same for us when we see "califonia cuisine"-our interpretation:minute servings at greatly infated prices!

so are you stuck with nick lodge or could you jump over to one of the places within wdw (they are offering some good deals during our stays).

i too cannot fathom a thread going on so long with the mere topic of wheather one juice or the other is served on board......................

i am currently in the midst of lobbying some nights away from the kids so i can get some packing done (as well as in depth cleaning), if nothing else i may be able to wrangle a couple of weekend matinees ala our babysitter to buy a bit more time.

IT'S CRUNCH TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chiming in - Boma at Animal Kingdon is one of our favourties and great for kids - as long as they will try some "real food" and not just mac and chee ---

Artiste Pointe is a perfect place for an upscale dinner - but pricey for kids. The Cape May buffet is also lots and lots of fun...so - GO TO ALL 3...

Did not read the thread on juice - I am clueless as well.... :confused3

Chip&Dale&Fun....it was definitely the cruise docs that I got. They arrived in a cardboard "treasure chest" like package. Inside, you have to fill out the Bahamas visitor card for each member of your cruise. Also, the Disney Transfers, as well as the receipt for how much it cost. There is also an orange reminder about bringing passport, or if the children are under 18, they can have a birth certificate w/ a raised seal. It has the room number(s) that you are staying in. It also has a brochure to order a tux for the cruise...there is also lime green luggage tags as well.

We are going to be staying in Port Orleans Riverside that Friday (Nov 11th)...and will be picked up there to bring us to the ship on Saturday via Disney's free transfer promotion....so maybe that makes a difference?

I got one set of cruise docs on Tuesday for myself & my DS(8). Then yesterday, the other set of cruise docs arrived for my DW, and DD(6) and DD(3)....not that those are the sleeping arrangements...they are separate, adjoining cabins, so that's probably why I got two sets of docs.

1 month to go....can't believe it's coming down to the wire....really excited now that it's only 1 month!

Yeah, they might have Tillamook cheese. BUT, do they have Tillamook cheese turds (curd)? I miss squeaky cheese. I bet they don't have Hatch green chiles or good flour toritillas, though!

I'm sorry I'm no help in places to stay in FL!

Thanks for the pointers. :sunny:

I am not "stuck" with the Nick hotel....we're gonna take the plunge all 5 nights but plan to get away and take in the Disney ambiance too.

REMEMBER! ;) ALERT! ALERT! ALERT! SSShhhhhhh! :goodvibes No one say, "Hi Abby and Will....aren't you two lucky kids gonna have fun at the Nick Hotel after the cruise?! MAJOR SECRET! :teeth:

That's why I can't risk meeting up with you crazy people at the Rad the night before....a few margaritas and the beans could spill! pirate:

Was that stupid thread REALLY about juice? I thought for sure it was some inside joke or ended up being a flame attack about something off the subject.

I still can't find a see-through over the door thing-a-ma-bob....but I have still Wal Mart and Target to check. I just hate going to Wal Mart. But I go anyway. I think that's what half of America says to themselves deep down. The other half finds their husbands and wives there....in the clearance isle, spawning a brown toothless grin overlooking a Barbie Lite Bright that is 50% off because the box is smashed.

Thanks for sharing - this is so strange - Disney Cruise Line says there is NO Way anyone can have cruise docs for the November 12 cruise yet.....So I guess it just goes to show - the Mouse does not know all!!!!!!

I thought I could get excited because we had two treasure chests at home, but upon inspection, they were our new member Castaway Cay kits from our January trip....hope the cruise docs don't take that long... :rotfl2:
