November 12, 2005....7 Night Eastern...Who Else?

with this motley crew the biggest challenge may be "who walks off with the lowest bar tab".
or for the non-drinkers "who leaves the ship with the lowest chocolate consumption".

now dh remember what we learned at school the other night-caffeine causes mental illness and your i.q. is lowered with every bite of meat you consume :rotfl2: so it's strictly postum and carrott sticks for you the entire duration of the cruise (and then only 2 times daily :teeth: ).

I have to ask - what on earth were you studying?

This is one competition, I will not win! :rotfl:

Nope, don't even think I could make it to the start line! :rotfl2:

Can I have drinks and chocolate?

NOW :Pinkbounc

We have plenty of room in our cabin for Jeff's mom. I'll send Haley to sleep with her grandparent's - so she can have her own "wing". The sleeper sofa and balcony!
And I'm not eating any bugs. We don't want to end up like all of those pukers from last Thursday do we?

For those of you who don't follow Survivor.....now is not too late! You have only missed one epidsode. Thursday night 8 p.m. on CBS. (that's our schedule at least on the West Coast). :goodvibes

It is addictive!!!!! I don't watch any other reality show...this is the only one IMHO that isn't fake and set-up.
I cannot imagine going through what they go through. Brutal! :guilty:

:scared1: :scared1:

I would lose this one for sure. You would also not want to be around me. Talk about :scared1: :scared1:

Our DS and DD go to a Seventh-Day Adventist school and they were having a PTA night. The guest speaker was some nutcase lady who got a Masters in Health from Loma Linda Univeristy (Remember them from the first Baboon Heart Transplant?). Normally, I would say that the adventist health teachings are pretty good (although I do not follow it) but there are a few total nutcases out there who think that meat, caffeene, and sugar are poison that will drop you dead. Keep in mind that most of these people are pasty and sickly themselves.

This particular woman even sugested that it was a good idea to take your kids down to 2 meals a day (Large\healthy breakfast and a mid-day lunch) and not let them eat anything after school so that they would then be hungry for the large breakfast.

Needless to say Barkley and I walked out of the presentation.

STB - I missed this the first time through!! Awoltoday actually pointed it out to me. Guess what I'll be starting Friday? I'll be a hunting widow for almost 2 weeks too. DH will be archery elk hunting in N.AZ. Something else we have in common.....

Ah, the life a hunting widow......It can be a pain,,,but, I try to justify it by the fact we never purchase meat. Every ounce of meat we have in our house is elk, deer, etc. Everything from our hamburgers, steaks to taco salads, lasagna, and breakfast sausages is from animals that he has acquired. No preservatives, chemicals or added gunk in the meat, so it's extra heathly too, right!!

Things in AZ have been pretty sparse in recent years. Not many tags & not many animals for those that get tags, so I haven't had a full freezer in a long time!

Did you watch Nip/Tuck last night??? I didn't like the beginning, but the rest was typical crazy Nip/Tuck!

BTW, I am in negotiations for autographed stuff. Problem is that Jeff has to leave in the next few weeks for the next Survivor site & we might not have time to get stuff to him before he has to start working again :)

that was one bizare episode! Loved the whole Mama thing though

Oh, yea,,, My DS was w/ my mom and DH was stalking his prey, so I was able to curl up by myself for the season opener. I thought it was classic Nip/Tuck all the way!! Talk about inovative writting. I've been trying to guess who the carver is since last season!! Now, I'm baffold!!

DH is cutting his trip short (still gone 10 days). They have seen very little, but at least he was able to get away from all of life's daily caos.

Hey Choc Marg......could you really get somethings autographed by Jeff? What a cool idea! My friends back home would be so envious! Where does Jeff actually call home? Is he not even in Arizona?
Speaking of Arizona, my parents (Scottsdale) are trying to convince us to change our airline ressies on the way back from Orlando around Thanksgiving and stop in for a few days and visit. I wish I had thought about that when I made the ressies. It is worth looking into, though. When we go on our next cruise in Nov, 2006 we will definitly pop in for a hello....same time...at Thanksgiving after the DOUBLE DIP WESTERN!!! Maybe we'll meet up in Arizona sometime? My oh my, I am floored at all the $$$$$ in Scottsdale! My parents included, they live in Desert Mountain in a BEAUTIFUL house on the golf course.
I saw Jeff on Regis (and whatever her face) the other morning at the gym by default, and he said he is dating Julie from a past Survivor show (Vanuatu ?sp?, I think).....so what does Jeff's mom think of her? I hear she's a real cutie and they have been together fo a while. Is Jeff's mom lookin' for grandchildren anytime soon? :confused3

Sorry...just babbling tonight. :)

we just saw the plane at lax make a safe landing. :teeth: Barkleys dh, No, we are just having fun and we want our time at castaway key!

re. nip/tuck-what is the deal in the coming attractions with the son (who is a poster child (imho) for "micheal jacksonseque" plastic surgery) all mutilited?

love the show but will never be able to watch an ex-man movie ever again without creeping out (sorry, the whole ava thing just creeped me out!).

re. "the hunters"-have to say i've only had "game" twice. one was phesant, i think it was the manner that it was prepared in that made it realy great (a fantastic breading), second was venison. we went to a restaurant and it was on the "pre-fixe" menu, told the waiter we had never tried venison before. he said if you are going to try it do it here-not gamey and the chef is awsome. he was right! one of the best meals ever (unfortunatly the restaurant is now gone due to Napa rerouting it's river due to flood planing).

have had some awsome ostrich burgers-very good (and very low in fat/cholesterol).

choc_marg-"he does'nt have time for HIS OWN MOTHER"? "I WAS IN LABOR....." :rotfl:

DisNurse-sorry i just cannot get into survivor-(i'll stick with wife swap and trading spouses) although i must say NOT ALL CALIFORNIANS ARE AS PSYCHO AS PORTRAYED IN THIS SHOW (just the majority which is why we wanna move!).

chocolate lovers-need to know (for planning) any nut or other allergies out there-any dark or light preferences. mentioned to dh that i better wait until the day before we leave and then duct tape the boxes closed otherwise it may not make it beyond the flight :teeth:

well we seem to have our excursions set-dh will be scuba-dubbaing with irene and sam, and we have the pirate cruise booked. don't know if the kids and i will do anything on scuba-dubba day-atlantis submarine looks good but i don't know if i want to venture off with the kiddles by myself. anyone else got anything going for that day that they can suggest?

e-mailed my sister in law to get nephews t-shirt sizes, hoping to see something interesting for christmas (several years ago i thought MY brothers were going to abscond with a "hard rock cozumel" tshirt i got for my neice!). next trip we made sure to get them "blues bro." t-shirts from hob for christmas :goodvibes ). think this year i will grab a pile of the "del-sol" shirts that change colors in the sunlight (very cheap with the coupons from the ship) to have on hand for bday gifts. dd (out of the ear reach of ds) keeps reminding me that we 'HAVE TO GET" the golden mickey ears for each of us (in additon to what she calls "old black mickey ears") :earsboy: .

last but not least-need everyone (kick me so i remember as well) to be VERY nice to dh-he saw the ear/nose/throat specialist today: come january he will get his tonsils and uvula removed. hoping it will reduce the snoring and help with a good nights sleep. told him he could "have all the ice cream he wants" (but as well as i can remember from having my tonsils out, all i wanted was pain meds :guilty:). oh well, we will time it for when the kids are back at school, and i will tivo a bunch of sci-fi stuff for him.
