I would call back. My friend called and reserved for our group of 11. I also remember Devin saying he had reserved a spot. I also remeber reading that you can book via E-mail.. but I cannot find it I will keep looking.

thanks! i sent them an email - hopefully will hear back - but there are only 2 of us so i would assume it wont be too hard to squeeze us in - except that i have no idea how many suitcases we will have with us!! :rotfl:

dizney-cruiser don't wait for a email. I would call right back. I have stayed at the Raddison 3 times before a cruise and saw numerous people turned away. They were told no sorry both at check in and when the buses where leaving. The worst case would be a cab but of course you would have to pay for that.

Yeah, wristbands were in yesterdays mail. They look great. Kids (and Mom & Dad) really like them. Had to re-commandere (sp??) them from the little ones and put them in a safe place for the cruise. Three cheers for Jackie for doing this -- Hip Hip Horaay!!!!! x 3!!!!

:sunny: Good morning all! Sending you all good wishes for a nice Tuesday. :wizard:

Sarah and I sat in the dark last night and watched our wrists glow :teeth: . With the wrist bands and Sarah's glowing POC shirt, we won't need a night light. Thank-you Jackie! We love them!

Michele, sent you a pm.

WOW, our post count is really going up. Me thinks we are a competive bunch, LOL! Free drink, YES! :Pinkbounc

Now, I have 2 boys, ages 11 & 8. What suggestions do you guys have for a basket from Shirly? Do you think she can do snorkel stuff? No fins, just the mask and tube.

As for my wife, have any of you ladys seen the pearl Mickey necklace? Is it worth the $255? If I order it from DCL, can I have them slip it to me without my wife seeing it so I can give it to her at Palos?

Jack

Part 1: How about underwater disposable cameras, favorite snacks and or beverage that is not a Coke product. It might be best if YOU buy the snorkel stuff and send it to Shirley to include in the basket, but call her and they can give you lots of ideas.

Part 2: I've seen the Mickey pearl necklace (pictures posted here on the DIS, a year ago) and I know DISers that were thrilled to get one. I even know some DISers who are hoping to get one ::yes:: Could you have them send it to you at work? I'd call and ask, as it might be easiest and safest for you to get it when you are on the ship.

Kids, don't panic if your braclets still take a couple of days AND four of the packages didn't go out until Monday, as I ran out of envelopes :guilty:

TiggersPal JUST may have me talked into my FIRST massage on this trip. We're trying to decide if it should be on CC or on the ship. We'll see..........

just a little tip for you - we are getting ours on the ship and making sure we have a good shower before sitting in the sun - last time i skipped that second part and fried like a french fry! we called room service for vinegar and the guy said, "did someone get a bad sunburn?" guess they are used to that . . .

I am jealous..I hope mine are there when I get home today...

Jackie, I sent you the moo-la!

Thanks again!

:cool1: The braclets came today. They are very cool. Thanks Jackie; I hope you like the little something extra I sent along with the money.

Donna, wow, someone else who was from Newtown. Where in Newtown were you? We've been here for 5 years now.

Still no changes in our cabin. Still down on deck 1 with no neighbors :sad2: .

One month from today--our second day in paradise!

Lauri

Hi all,

Just checking in. It's such a rainy, dreary day here in NJ, I knew you all would cheer me up. Wow, 3929 posts already! My bet is we will surpass 4500! :thumbsup2

Doing my part to post.

Jackie - thanks for the signature warning - all fixed - I think.

Hey Kaykels - long time no see/hear/understand? :confused3 That must be computer code - maybe Clynne and Surley can translate for us tonight at chat?

I'm feeling the pressure... work is getting busy and now I'm a little nervous about getting all things done before I leave on the cruise. Dear Lord - give me patience and strength!;)

I am wondering about snorkeling masks... if I don't have a snorkeling adventure - but just want to look around shall I get my own? I know -germs- but surley at CC they'll have clean sanitary ones?:confused3

Ok, back to work!

Drats.. ther server has been down and this is the first time I have been able to check in.

Okay..now with all my planning I feel I may be forgetting something.

Here are my plans that MUST be taken care of when I first board the ship.

1. Wendy Tea
2. Correct Palo ressies
3. Sign up for Martini tasting on Thursday
4. Sign up for margeretta tasting on Tuesday

What am I forgtting to do? I know there is something, but for the life of me I cannot think of it. :confused3

ok well bad news DW's Wedding dress came in on Saterday and the invoice said the right size the order said the right size but the dress was the wrong size. Michelle was really Bummed. I almost fit though. She thinks she is going to have to have her mother take it in. when it comes in the right size. I sent it 2 day UPS back to IN. We should have it by saterday this week (I hope).

hello fellow cruisers!
now im working on the magnets for our door - i havent told my sister anything that i booked so im making daily magnets letting her know what we are doing each day - so she will have to read the door to find out - im thinking that can make it fun for me too!

I love this idea. I just may do this myself.

I have been working on a surprise for DSis as her birthday will be Friday while we are at CC. I do not know what to sent to her in a basket, with all her dietary restricions and flowers bother her asthma. Gosh, as I am writing this I realize she is a wreck. :rotfl2: I am open to suggestions.

Thanks, Michelle and Wendy, for the kids' club viewpoints. Reading others comments, I was just wondering about the "feel" of the club. DS is NOT inherently outgoing, but once comfortable is great. (He, too, would be really annoyed if there wasn't a rule for sharing something like computers. Not that he doesn't have enough time on one at home...) Jury's still out on DD...we're just going to see how she feels. She's fine being left at school, but after almost 3 months of swim team almost every day, she still wants me to sit and watch!

We're supposed to be on that 10am shuttle from the Radisson, too. Probably should call to confirm that, huh? Wonder if they have an 800 number... How big is the shuttle if Michelle's group of 11 and our little group of 4 are scheduled at the same time?

Carolyn

Ok I have a question I am looking for a Camcorder for our cruise. Years ago I had a VHS C and a 8mm The VHS C had a terrible picture and broke my VCR the 8 was possessed it would never work on a tripod. I including at my Wedding the reception was filmed great but the ceremony was nothing but snow. Has anyone used the Digital8 camcorders? I was looking at a DVD one but as of right now I do not have a DVD burner. (And they are really expensive) and I don’t think I will use it that much.
I have picked out new dig camera one big reason being I have 3 256 meg SD memory card already if you know if a camcorder that used SD cards for stills that would be great I have a small memory stick fro my PDA that I have never used so a Sony camera is not out of the question.

We are being picked up at 9am from the Airport Hyatt. I figure we should be there around 10.

It is cold and rainey here and I am ready for this cruise. It will help me make it through the winter.

wow update to the Wedding dress I just got charge again for the dress. they are really ticking me off.

I researched buying one as well. It was highly recommended to NOT get the DVD one. There were assortment of reasons, but versatility seemed to be at the top of the list. My son has a digital camcorder and it is small, compact and does a nice job.

As far as a camcorder goes your best bet is a MiniDV. It's digital video on small tapes. There are many to choose from and the prices are not bad. The reason a MiniDV is the way to go is to many to list but here is a few reasons. The tapes are not a lot of money. You can hook it right up to your TV to watch. And being it's didital video you can link it to your computer and put the video on your harddrive. Most of them also will take a SD card for stills but your best bet for that is a Digital Camera for stills.

Any questions let me know.
