November '08 ~ What Do You Mean It's Over? Should we plan another???

anybody have suggestions of great souviners? We are staying at Poly, so I'll bet there are poly related ones at the gift shop, but how about at the parks?

Nope, it's going to fly right by for me as I have done nothing so far to get ready.

I'm getting so frustrated with my family. They are not excited at all. Each morning when I wake them up I tell them how many days are left before we leave and they say things like 'that's cool' or 'really?'. Teens! I swear, if I didn't have some place like this to share my excitement, I'd burst.

I printed my maps, packing lists and reservation details today. I put the passports, disney tickets and cash in our travel wallet too.

I've not posted on this thread for yonks but I'm getting really excited now so I have too!!! :cool1:

We will be there in two weeks - we'll be sleeping right now after our fantastic night at MVMCP!!! (I'm in the UK, 5hrs behind so its 8am now!)

Got to call WDW DINE tonight to reconfirm our ADRs. I'm going to try and get a 4pm (ish) ADR at the Plaza in MK before the MVMCP starts on 16 Nov, but doubt I'll have much luck!!!

Thinking about ordering my Mum a cake to say thank you but I'd rather it get delivered to our room than a restaurant and I'm not sure it can be done - will ring them to find out!

All we've got left to do is pack and arrange a car transfer from the airport to AKL.

We checked our tickets from our 2004 trip and we have plenty of days to cover our park visits this time which is FAB! (In July this year we bought new tickets!)

One of our favorite souveniers is a beach towel! We always each get a beach towel, on occassion, a third one. It's a souvenier we use all the time since we use them as shower towels, so I think it's a great souvenier since it can be used often for the shower or swimming and doesn't just sit on a shelf or in a closet somewhere! Always get at least a couple Xmas ornaments. And, always get a few pens to use. I use mine at work all the time, have my own box in a drawer there! I even have some people who come in often really wanting one or the other, so I will probably pick up a few extras this next trip, plus it's another souvenier that can be used often! Oh, yeah, I also like bags, you know like a purse but a little bigger, use them all the time when going into work to bring in water, food, just like a purse. :thumbsup2

We're leaving on the 14th too!! I'm down to 12 Candy Canes!

We are going on the 14th, too!
And, my DD18 is the same way. Everyday I tell her what my ticker says or how many days till the trip or remind her we need to put a sticker on our countdown chart. She doesn't get too excited either, just says 'oh cool', or 'I know'(with a little excitement, but not enough!). I say, 'aren't you excited' and she says yeah. So, not too excited here either. But, I know she's excited and it's one of her favorite places, but, being a teen and senior in high school, she seems to have a life outside of planning a disney trip! What's up with that?

2 days for me too!!! I woke up an hour early this morning and couldn't go back to sleep! I don't know how I am going to survive the next 48 hours! I am dreaming about the Castle! Atleast my Redskins are playing tonight and the election is tomorrow to help the time go by fast! :yay: :yay:

Well,c younger DD is excited, she has her latest Birnbaums for kids and has started doing the 10 day countdown activities, older DD is being a major pain, DH said last night he might just stay home to get some peace and quiet and let me take the two of them and another 13 YO girl!

The next 2 and 1/2 weeks are so busy for me. I'm not sure how I am going to get everything done. But I'm so excited that it is finally here. I am using Math Chick's count down numbers at work and it already has everyone in a tizzy that I am going to be really gone for 11 DAYS OFF WORK!!!!!!! WooHoo!

This week is going to go by so fast!!!

Yesterday, I packed all the kids clothes. I ended up with four suitcases with their stuff. Now, I can start on my clothes and stuff. I want to have all my packing done by Friday so I can clean house all day. Our plane is leaving Sunday at 7:30 am, so Saturday we will be going to bed really early. The airport is about 40 minutes from our house.

Only 6 days!!!
