Nov. 28, 2009 Western - Post Thanksgiving Relaxation Cruise

Add in a few more cousins, too (girls of course!) We're traveling with A LOT of extended family and friends!

Please don't tell them about the "secret" deck! It's my hideaway from the in-laws place.

I'm glad you have a 9 year old - my middle DD needs a pair up!

yeah - we are doing the extended family thing too:laughing:

and don't worry my lips are sealed

Unfortunately when you're in the financial industry and the jobs are scarce in this day and age, you bring the dang thing. Usually I don't but there is stuff going on at the national level that I really need to keep abreast of. Fortunately, or unfortunately, I'm the expert for the firm. I guess it's job security but it stinks having to be connected 24/7. :sad2:
Hence the reason I will look at it in the evening, on the verandah, after DD is asleep. :thumbsup2

WOW~! Talk about alot of Girls! Thanks for the list.

happy Friday everyone. Yikes it's getting close. Time to maybe think about which bags we'll bring! :lmao:

Big weekend here. We are both alums of Pitt and I'm going to the Pitt basketball opener tonight. Then in the morning it's swim team practice for Lizzie (at Team Pitt of course) and then dance for Em. After that we are off to the Pitt-Notre Dame football game. Hail to Pitt!

DH Nick is a Notre Dame fan. Have a great weekend. I have nothing going on. That doesn't happen very often. Oh yea, I do have a college assignment due on Sunday and I should probably do the work that is due while we are on the cruise.

Hey, did anyone else get word of an upgrade today? We and our friends in connecting cabins got a complementary upgrade from category 9 to category 6. Haven't decided yet whether I am totally psyched or not. Will have to go read some reviews.

Cam
Does that mean no verandah vs now having one at no cost? That is cool! Wow 2 more weeks!

Linda
I'm with Linda on this one! Way cool to have a verandah at absolutely no cost!!! Don't worry about any of the reviews. Enjoy your view. It will be worth it!!!

Yes, Linda, we were in category 9 on deck 1 in connecting cabins. Now we are in the solid-wall verandah type of category 6 on deck 6 in non-connecting cabins. And we went from the very front of the ship to just about as far aft as you can get. :)

I am severely sensitive to cigarette smoke (migraines), so it may be that our sliders become one huge window, and I am somewhat sad that we won't be in connecting cabins, but that just means we'll have to divide our time between our cabin and Judy & Charlie's that is the next one over. I'm glad we are at least in adjoining cabins.

I can't believe we will board the Magic 2 weeks from today!!!! I am really starting to get excited, even though the only clothes I've figured out so far are my formal night and semi-formal night attire. LOL!

Cam- I hear you! I have thought of packing but the thought of trying clothes on right now makes me nauseous.

Halloween candy was NOT my friend! I know I am going to feel like a sausage in my bathing suit- UGH!

2 more weeks! I tried to get the port cam up but I can't get it.I hope we have good weather and hurricane Ida does not have any cousins out there- LOL!

Linda

Hi Everyone-- heading to the Mall of America today to do some cruise shopping-- but just had to post - received an email this morning from Dreams Unlimited that says "We received a call from the Disney Cruise Line llast evening that they have given you a complimentary upgrade from a category 9 to a category 7. Your new stateroom assignments are 6142 (Gregory's) and 6140 (Jennifer's)." :cool1::cool1:

I am so excited ~ so everyone doing the FE - if you could please update our room#s on your list :)

I have not received my FE list yet. Is it out? I guess I will PM Vennsa. We are putting up our Christmas decorations today because we are gone next weekend and I won't want to do it when we get back. I even have most of my Christmas shopping done.

We are packed except Formal and Semi Formal is not in luggage, but hanging close by.

I have a feeling the next two weeks are going to go very fast.

Hi all...for those who are doing the FE, I just wanted to update my email on the spreadsheet that Nessa sent out- we're dropkin@yahoo.com. Not that it really matters too much, but just in case...thanks!
