Gel Nail Substitute?

Now that gel nails have been banned in Europe, I’m wondering what people are using that is long lasting in it’s place. I’m located in the US, but wondering what people are using besides gel to achieve a long-lasting, shiny look that can be applied at home? Any brand and product recommendations are appreciated!

Wow, I hadn’t heard about the ban. I don’t know if the ingredients are any better for you, but I started having my nails done with dip powder a few years ago. I used to get gel manicures before that, but I always had problems with it lifting or peeling off within a week or two. The salon I was going to at the time said I should try the dip powder instead, and I haven’t looked back! I have never had it chip or peel, and it lasts until I go have my nails done again. Last year I was sick with Covid, and I didn’t get to the salon for 5 weeks! My nails still looked perfect except for the new naked growth.

A friend swears by a product by Manicurist which is available online.
