Nov. 28, 2009 Western - Post Thanksgiving Relaxation Cruise

And we're in the stateroom right next to the not so "secret deck". :goodvibes

So I have it ready to go but don't have the energy to get it out to everyone tonight. I have to print the list so that I have the DIS names for everyone who gets it. I promise I'll do my best to get it to you tomorrow.

WAKE UP THREAD

Geez most of us are leaving two weeks from today (some earlier) and our thread is on page two. What's up with that people?????

Sorry Jeff! I'll try to do better in the future. My job is actually expecting me to work today. I have to do a performance appraisal by the end of the day for someone I've been supervising for 2 weeks. Gotta love big business. :goodvibes

And the boss asked me to check my blackberry at least twice a day during the cruise. I told them that I didn't have international service and cellular at sea is really expensive. Should have kept my damn mouth shut. Guess who has international service now and was told not to worry about the expense. :headache::headache::headache: I told DH that I would check it every night before bed. This way the Paris and London offices aren't in yet and NY is long closed. I can't read anyone's responses until the following evening! :thumbsup2 I can sit on the verandah and peruse emails while DD is in bed. Lots of fun.

I was about to start complaining on being on page two--but you beat me to the punch Jeff...

Packing?? Yeah...I was going to start that, but now I'm stuck dealing with getting Matts car fixed. He hit a deer on the comute home last night...deploying the air bag, and doing extensive damage to his NEW CAR! Yep...got it about 3 months ago. UGH! I'm trying to secure the rental, and get the ball rolling on appraising and fixing this bugger. They say it should be done by the time we leave for the cruise...but REALLY??? Is this something I want to deal with right now. Boo hiss. Thank God Matt wasn't hurt....

BACK TO THE CRUISE--I am getting so antsy. Only 2 weekends still we leave, that's nutso. Luckily we have plans both...so that makes the time go faster.

Allison- that really stinks. While I work on the cruise, it's because I am the sole proprietor of my PR biz and I have folks who cover for me, but it's MY business so I have to stay in touch. When I worked for a living (as I call it) I was always annoyed to have to check in from vacation but it doesn't bother me now that it's my biz. I say keep it to as little as you can, and do it with a cocktail in hand.

The DD's have packed their "airplane" bags, picked up a suit for DH over the weekend. Now I am doing finishing up all of my college work. I printed the packing list/tip list from that thread and discovered just a couple things that might be helpful. Then I decided, might as well get Christmas shopping done before we leave. So, I finished that over the weekend. Now, we will put up our Christmas decorations next weekend. Then we are volunteering in a "soup kitchen" for Thanksgiving day. This should keep me busy enough that the next 14 days will fly by.:dance3:

...and Allison...

You poor thing...WORK...on vacay?? You shoulda said no blackberry's are alloud on board....hehe
Jeff needs to work too so we may meet at the computers and have a few drinks! :rotfl:

Sorry to hear about the car. Glad Matt is okay. Is it hunting season yet? I always know that right before the season starts the deer are prolific. I love all the tree huggers that hate hunting season. Please figure out a way to make the herd smaller and I'm all for it. :thumbsup2 I believe that everyone in my family has hit at least one deer at some point. I think I'm up to 2. Bambi ran in front of my Blazer one time. It was a baby on a 4 lane highway! :scared1: I like to see deer at a distance, far from the road. I hope you don't have too much trouble with the insurance company.

So the Magic will only leave two more times without ALL OF US!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm dyin' over here!!!! :woohoo:

Hey Allison, be careful what you say about tree huggers there :hippie::rotfl2: I resemble that remark :lmao: Okay, not really regarding the subject at hand cause I think hunting is just fine as long as it's done in the right spirit :thumbsup2 But some people maaaaaaay call me a tree hugger :rolleyes1 ;) :goodvibes

So sorry to hear this. :sad1: The first deer I ever hit was on Buena Vista Drive on WDW property in a rental car at 8:00 in the morning ...

You got to watch out for those Disney Animatronic Deer. They will jump out at you from anywhere! The 3-D ones are the worst.:lmao:

And Jen, no real offense intended. I'm a tree hugger at times too but the deer population at this time of year...

Everyone participating should have a cruisemeet list in their PM inbox. Looking forward to seeing you all in two weeks.
