Not-So-Scary Eat & Drink Until We Drop PTR...TR link pg.9!

Good Morning, everyone. I have to say- the stress never ends! My car is making some funky nose in the engine & I was not sure I would make it home last night. John drove me to work this morning & is going to look at my car today. The thing about my car is- it is 6 years old & I JUST finished paying it off in July. Since I drive 600 miles in a week commuting back & forth to work, my car has about 180,000 miles on it already. It is tough to keep up with wear & tear. Luckily that is all it has been so far. I have to keep my fingers crossed that this problem is nothing major now.
Let me tell you, though, that it is tough to concentrate on work this week! I have a lot to do before I leave. (I actually think I left out one day in my last reply- d’oh!) Today is a normal 8 hour day- if John gets here on time to pick me up. Tomorrow is an 8 hour day, Thursday is a 12 hour day- BUT I have to help set up & then participate in “employee development day”. That day is some kind of state required thing. We have 2 presentations to listen to- one is “dealing with difficult people” and the other is “customer service ins and outs”. They provide bagels and doughnuts for the morning segment and then lunch before the afternoon segment. The presentations usually offer some good pointers, so I usually try to make the best of it. Friday is a 4 hour day & I have a hair appointment at 1:30. Saturday I am hoping to “get it together” & get everything done that I need to. Sunday I may or may not have to pick up my Aunt & Uncle up from the airport on their way back from Hawaii. I kind of hope I don’t have to since I would not get home until 9pm if I did that. I told them I would do it if they can’t find someone else to do it, though. I wouldn’t care except the van is picking me up at 4:25am the next morning!
Forgive me for getting long-winded today. I am just going to post a few photos of some butterflies from a conservatory in Deerfield, MA.

I missed the butterfly pix yesterday. I was in my own world for some reason. They are beautiful. We have a butterfly bush in our back yard and it is always full. I love seeing them.

I enjoyed the Osborne Light Show. I so want to go and see that for myself.

Sorry your day is so full. Try to have a good one. So close you are. (I've become Yoda)

You know- I don't mind being busy because the day goes by much quicker. I just miss reading the TR's on the Dis!!!!
Have a great day Ginny!

Any of those garden websites have them. Ours was there when we moved in. Don has to trim it way back every fall cause it grows like crazy. It does not bloom till summer and has purple flowers on it. I think you can get othere colors. When he builds his new workshop he will have to relocate it. Even at our old house we had lots of butterflies (without the bush). I have lots of blooming plants in my yard so butterflies and honeybees like it. Also hummingbirds. I am not a bird fan but I like those. We also have a family of doves that have a nest under my crepe myrtle tree. They are on the eaves of my roof every morning singing away. I love to hear the cooing.

I speak Yoda often. I was so glad when those movies came out so I would have an excuse to talk that way. I never thought I was dyslexic but I find myself talking backward and sometimes typing backward. Never writing.

I can't believe it is almost noon here already.

Have a good rest of your day.

Ginny

April, I am all caught up :thumbsup2. I am glad you posted on my PTR so I was able to follow the link to yours.

Isis is a cutie. I guess you saw, on my PTR, my dogie Niko? To be honest I didn't want to get a dog, but Dale, my DH, wanted one. The reason I didn't want one is because it is so hard to lose them. Growing up I had 2 dogs, one named Tramp and one named Penny. We had Tramp when I was a little girl and I soooooooooo loved that dog. She was a stray that wondered up to our house and she never left. We had her for about 10 years and then one day she just wondered off, like your Mom's dog. I cried for a solid week :sad1:. Then when I was about 13 we got a Chihuahua named Penny. She lived for about 10 years and it broke my heart too when she passed away. I went a long time without a dog because I get too attached. I try to act cool around Dale, but Niko is my sweetie.

So much for the dog drama. Have you heard if John is going to be able to go? If not, or even if he does, it would be fun to meet up. I need to go back and see what you have planned for ADRs and see if you are in the same places.

I am so glad it is Disney Time :woohoo::dance3::cheer2:.

Thanks!!! I would say that my favorite place was either Washington State or Alaska. I'm not sure if I could choose! Alaksa is amazing, but the Olympic peninsula in Washington has mountains, rainforests, and beaches. They are both fantastic for different reasons.

I'd love to go to the Olympic peninsula...that whole area up through Washington up into Canada/Vancouver looks like it would be so amazing...

The butterflies are lovely...

You know in addition to butterfly bush...there are a variety of plants that butterflies like=like echinacea (purple coneflower), coreopsis, mondara, -perennials that are easy to grow...you'd have butterflies all summer...:goodvibes

You're getting closer...:woohoo:

Thanks for the info! I definitely want to look into getting one when I get back. I wonder if it would survive in the New England climate. I hope so!
How are you feeling today?

I DEFINITELY know what you mean about how tough it is to lose a dog. They are so good all of their lives- all they do is try to please us, so it is that much harder to let them go. Niko is VERY cute!! I LOVE the photo with the sunglasses.
John told me he is 98% sure everything will be ok & he can leave Monday as planned- whether or not he told me that so I would relax last night I don't know.
That would be so cool if we saw you! Have an awesome trip- you leave tomorrow!!!! :woohoo:

Thanks for the info about the plants! I am determined to plant some nice things next summer. I also want a vegetable garden, but we are right on ledge- we have VERY sandy soil.
I have been lurking in your TR, too. I am loving the photos!!! It is getting me excited to go.

This might be my last PTR post. I work 4 hours today, then I'm off to a hair appointment. I am posting a photo from my phone of my luggage. It's funny- the reason I bought the hot pink luggage is so I can spot it coming at the airport. I love it!
I'm getting nervous & excited. I'll miss you all when I'm gone.

April, if I don't get a chance tomorrow to wish you a grand trip, know I wish you a grand trip. Hope you have a blast. A much needed vacay for you for sure. We will be anxious to hear all about it.

Thanks, everyone!!! I just wanted to catch you all up. John is definitely all clear to go. Yesterday I was feeling under the weather, but I got a lot of sleep & drank a ton of water. I'm feeling better today. I really think I was just overtired. The van picks us up tomorrow at 4:25am, so we will be going to bed early. Sorry for the short update, but I am updating from my phone- it isn't easy! I will post when I'm back. I'll miss you!

I;m so happy to hear that John is able to make it! Men do this all the time...even Danny told me he may not be able to go past May...I think they believe its funny to share info that they may be worried about but know it will work out!!!!

have a wonderful time....can't wait to hear all about it...
HAVE A GREAT TIME AND ENJOY!!!

Such good news that John gets to go. Sorry for all the turmoil you had to go thru to get to this point. I'm glad you are feeling better today. There are bugs going around everywhere.

We will miss you while you are gone and think of the fun you will be having.

Ginny

Just an update- I'm home...and I was VERY sick the entire trip! It was very disappointing & frustrating. I will begin a report ASAP & I will link to the trip report from here, too. I missed you guys!
