Northern Sights and Mickey's MAGICal Delights-1st Baltic Cruise-June 12,2010-Pt 2

I hope that's not right about the hotel. I've got my TA looking into the DCL hotels now and she's supposed to be calling me back in a few minutes so I'm interested to see if she found out anything different. That will really put a kink in my plans if that's the case.:confused3

Emily,
I'll be eager to hear what your TA says about the Disney-designated hotels and transfers, plus whatever anyone else visiting London beforehand has to add. The hotel concierge has since given me a link http://dot2.hudsonltd.net/res?USERIDENTRY=97760&LOGON=GO for a van service from the airport that works out to less than $100, far more reasonable than the chauffeur service he suggested initially. That makes it more practical to do four nights using the room rate I booked on my own. Amazing that the quotes for the very same hotel are so different, isn't it?

While we are all waiting for the first Baltic cruise, we can kill a little time with a new video from Weird Al Yankovic that highlights the longest running Disney Cruise itinerary: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NNo8LvdOwSk

I saw that a few weeks ago. It's hilarious!!!! I downloaded it to my iPod.

I'm interested too. Once I hear something I'll definitely let you know.

Hey guys, just fyi, for various other reasons we have seperate sigs but that Ismael guy, he's mine. We both have that warped sense of humor!:goodvibes
But I'm the Dishead and he goes along for the ride!

I now have 82 of my fish extender gifts finished! 18 more to go....at least I have the 100 for the 12 and under group done!

Thanks laura for the link to the dot2dot. I am planning on using them to get to the airport from the Park Plaza as of now. Looks like a professional and reliable outfit. I have a friend that went to London last month and stayed at the Park Plaza. She just raved about it. It was perfect for her and her family.

I'm so glad to hear that the Park Plaza County Hall gets good reviews. This is awfully complicated to work out - book with Disney, book on your own? I'm glad that at least we don't have to have second-thoughts over the hotel itself.

Are you planning for that amount or are we really up to that amount?
I may have to rethink what I'm doing for the kids.
DS thinks its amuzint that you and I are already on top of this.
What he doesnt realize is that first I have to make at least 100 swaps for GS encampment!

Has anymore thought been given to any type of scrapbook swap exchange?
If so, I think I know what I want to make for that too!:goodvibes

Good Morning Cruisers!

Since we are touring around either before or after the cruise, we decided to limit ourselves to one checked bag and one carry-on each - that should make the transportation easier - we just may be doing laundry a lot on the ship:rotfl:

Have a great day all!

Hi!

I still have a few lanyards left...is anyone else interested? If so...just send me a PM...

I'm planning on that many. Don't know how many there will be. As far as the kids what I have we can use them back home.

I have to keep busy so I don't eat!:rotfl2: We're heading to Taco Mac tonight with some friends. Never have understood why they named it that when it's not a Mexican restuarant.

For those staying at the Park Plaza County Hall in London before the cruise, or considering it, here is some detail from Reservations: Executive level room includes English breakfast each morning, bottle of water, daily newspaper, in-room espresso coffeemaker, upgraded toiletries, trouser press, slippers, bathrobes and access to the executive lounge which serves complimentary beverages (I'll bet they don't have my Diet Dr Pepper) from 6 PM to 8 PM. For an upcharge of 35 GBP per room per night, I changed our reservation to executive level too. The amenities might be handy, but the deciding factor was that it would be simpler to have breakfast before we leave the hotel and this was cheaper for the three of us than buying the hotel breakfast separately (16.95 GBP per person). We've limited our pre-cruise stay to three nights to save $$, so our sightseeing plan is packed solid. Breakfast may have to carry us much of the day.

I'm so impressed with the folks who are already making their fish extender gifts. Commendable!

We had a great time participating in the FE exchange on the eastbound Panama Canal last year. We do have an idea that shouldn't be too cumbersome to pack, but since we'll have to mail order them, guess we'll have to wait til we have an idea of the numbers closer to the time.

Wow, that sounds like a really nice deal. Depending on what I hear from the TA I might have to look into that as an option.

Sounds good but you know, they are charging me 70 pounds per night. I am going to investigate that. It may be because there are three of us in one room, but I will find out.

So how many days before the cruise are you staying in London? We are talking about whether to stay a few days in England before or after the cruise.

So what's the count, everyone?

Who is staying BEFORE?
Who is staying AFTER?
