I have to keep busy so I don't eat! We're heading to Taco Mac tonight with some friends. Never have understood why they named it that when it's not a Mexican restuarant.

So how many days before the cruise are you staying in London? We are talking about whether to stay a few days in England before or after the cruise.

We're going in the Sat before.

I think it's more like a Friday's with a spicy side to it.

Right now I'm looking at us flying out of here on Monday the 7th and arriving on the 8th. That could change by a day or so maybe.

We won't be staying after the cruise. I had been hoping we would do DLP, but we're doing the pin event at WDW next summer as well, so I decided to hold off on DLP for another time.

We are looking right now at touring - a couple days in London and a couple days in Normandy - before - but OUR before is before the transitional cruise from Barcelona to Dover - so I do not think we will run into any of our cruising mates.

I think we will come in the day before and stay at a London airport hotel. Then we can freshen up and grab the train into the city for a little bit. We've been to London before so it's not a big deal for us.

Kirstyn and I are thinking of flying out on the Wednesday for a Thursday arrival and then spending 2 nights in Dover before the cruise. We did the London/Paris ABD in 2007, so can't justify doing London again. Kirstyn is trying to convince me to go to DLP after the cruise, I said fine, if she is willing to pay

Our surrent plan is to fly in the morning before the cruise and then spend three or four days in Paris and at DLP after.

We are arriving on the 9th to spend a couple of days in London, cruise and then spending 3 days in Paris/DLP. We are staying at the hotel mentioned so if anyone else is too, look us up!

Good Evening everyone, The week before the cruise we will be in Paris for 4 nites to tour the city/ DLP then London for 3 nights at one of the cruise lines host hotels. I have not decided which one yet.

We are probably flying out on Tuesday for a Wednesday morning arrival. Spend a few days in London at a Sheraton at the airport. We are using Starwood points and that one gives us the best point value.

Plan to spend the evening in London after we arrive back and fly out the following morning. The flight times prohibit us from flying home the same day, or at least flying out the same day and be sane worrying if we would make the flight! It would be cutting it very close.

I have not had any additions lately to the webpage. But if everyone would take a look and see if they know of anyone that has cancelled already so I can remove them and get some good counts on who is actually going.

Planning on our FE gift, and this past weekend we tested the plan and it failed miserably!! So back to square one. I have a reputation to hold up!!

Adelyn and I are flying in on the 9th and will be staying 2 days after we return to attend a few matches at Wimbeldon.

Sounds like everyone's plans are coming along!

Debbie - good luck with your FE gift plans. We will probably wait until much later for final count - when is the money due - that is when we lose a lot of folks sometimes on these cruises planned so far in advance.

Isn't final payment usually 90 days? Or is it different for this cruise?

Can't say it's firm til I can buy the air in a few days, but current plan is to leave Tuesday, arriving London early Wednesday, June 9. Staying at the Park Plaza County Hall. As DD16 has never been to London, I have a jam-packed itinerary laid out from Wednesday noon through Friday evening, including theatre on Thursday night. We would love to do Paris & DLP, but can't manage it this trip. I'm hoping to book the only flight that gets us all the way home same-day after disembarkation. Whether we really get all the way home same-day remains to be seen, but it's worth a try!

DH Bill is already researching anti-jetlag strategies for the eastbound flight.

Isn't final payment usually 90 days? Or is it different for this cruise?

Mine is due February 12, 2010, which is four months before departure.

Can't say it's firm til I can buy the air in a few days, but current plan is to leave Tuesday, arriving London early Wednesday, June 9. Staying at the Park Plaza County Hall. As DD16 has never been to London, I have a jam-packed itinerary laid out from Wednesday noon through Friday evening, including theatre on Thursday night. We would love to do Paris & DLP, but can't manage it this trip. I'm hoping to book the only flight that gets us all the way home same-day after disembarkation. Whether we really get all the way home same-day remains to be seen, but it's worth a try!

Tell him one thing we found that helps with jetlag is when you get to your destination resist the urge to sleep for as long as you can. When we arrived in Rome in May we did this, went and had lunch, did some sightseeing, etc. Anything to try and keep us awake. We went to bed the same time as everyone else in Rome and woke up the next morning nice and refreshed and ready to go, hardly any jetlag at all.

Did you all see out on the main board that they are offering kids sail free on select Med cruises next year? Maybe that means some sort of discount isn't too far behind for these cruises.

We tend to get very little sleep the night before and then try to catch some rest on the plane. Once we arrive at our destination, we try to make sure that we don't go to bed until it is night. Then we sleep to morning and are back on track.

I sure hope so. We just spent 10k on the house and I am starting to worry that we actually can't afford this cruise.
