Oh LL I'm so sorry I know that must be very frustrating!!!!

Well we will just have to take precautions..things like sanitizing our table before we eat, washing hands before meals and making sure we have plenty of hand sanitizer. I'm starting back on my immune booster regiment and will be drinking lots and lots of water...all these things will be helpful. I was really worried about the norovirus that was going around when I went in January and with proper precautions I was just fine on arrival to departure!

OH and I woke up to a great surprise this morning....apparently last night Nobby arrived and my hubby hid him until he could surprise me with him this morning at breakfast LOL!! So I was able to have a great morning looking through the photo album and thinking about what I was going to write...I really enjoyed it...so thanks for a great start to my morning Gnomies.

So glad that Nobby arrived in time for DOI Jen!!
I told Blake, I wonder if Jen knows where I really live. My return address sticker is from my parents house in Baltimore, but we live in Frederick and I actually mailed Nobby from Newport News, VA

I would think so LL. I mailed Nobby Priority Mail on Friday, the 24th and if Jen got him yesterday it only took 3 days to get there. So you should get him in plenty of time if her DOI is on May 9th.

Glad to hear you got away for awhile Jen! Sometimes that is the best thing for us (although I would have to have my laptop on a mental health vacation! I would be more crazy without it I think )

Germ Patrol I agree, the best advice is to take the usual precautions and not worry about it, we can't live in a bubble (if Jackie is piglet and Chrisine is Eeyore, I think I am Pooh)

How was your weekend Jess?

Thanks for asking Katie! We actually DO have 7-11's around here, so I guess I have had the infamous coke slushies then! Lately I've really liked Rita's a lot more, but still yummy!

The weekend was good overall. I think Blake was glad to get home and see everyone again. I felt miserable most of the time, but was still able to hang out with everyone. Blake went fishing with his brother on saturday and we went to Virginia Beach on friday. I definitely do not enjoy VA Beach as much as Ocean City or Myrtle Beach, just not my thing I guess. And it was still breezy on friday, but it was nice to get out. Hope you had a good one!

Grrr, why do I put myself through things I know going in will piss me off?

Last month the Iowa supreme court ruled in favor of allowing gay marriage. Yesterday was the first day that couples could go to the courthouses and apply for a license so of course this is all the news this week. I should say I support gay marriage but I also believe in giving respect to others who see things differently.

An aquantance of mine sent me an e-mail today with a link to the Des Moines newspaper website where you can vote if you are in favor or oppose the ruling. I suspected from the beginning that this acquantance is against the measure and this e-mail is going around groups of like-minded individuals. BUT I wanted to go and vote in the poll. Like many other polls, you can leave a comment if you wish on the blog.

OMG I cannot believe how hateful people are being!!! I only read a few comments but there were some terrible things written and terrible responses to them. People on both sides of the issue are saying some truly awful things. I know it's an open forum (and the opportunity to be anonymous as well) but come on people, a little respect please!!!

Katie, that is so frustrating. I used to be very into politics and hot issues like that but it does get very frustrating so I just keep out of it now. It's not worth getting all worked up about, at least for me.

If 4 gnomies vs. 3 gnomies want to eat at this vs. that place, we would choose the 4 gnomies place? I'm just curious because I already want to pick out everything I want to eat at all of our choices

Well, we made a list of "wishes" at one point. In chat one night we talked about picking the 2 or 3 most popular from each park (and resort restaurants too?) and having everyone select their #1 choice. Of course everyone is invited to join or opt out depending on their desires.

What do you say LL, do you want to take this on before your trip?
