I'm still here.

I think there are a few more "characters" on here who need a Pooh name.

As for Grand Gatherings I think breakfast at Tony's is the only option in the MK. There's a dinner in AK or a dinner in EP or a cruise as well.

So I still don't know what to do. Jess- do I just vote for one - like if we could have only one "official" meal in the MK what would I want it to be? Or am I picking a breakfast, lunch and dinner? Sorry I'm so dense. It's been a long day.

Marc works overnight, Sunday - Wednesday. So he leaves the house around 9:15.

Ok...so let's do it like this, pick one of the 2 (Plaza or Crystal Palace) and then decide which meal you would rather have it for. And then decide if you still want to do a Grand Gathering at Tony's or if you'd rather just do a GG at Tony's and not do one of the other 2. Since Katie and LL had mentioned that we're picking 1 "official" meal per park and 1 resort meal.

The big plus with the Tony's GG...is it is 1 credit if you're doing the DDP...the cheapest option if you're not...plus, unlike some of the other GGs it seems to be an ongoing(for example the Epcot dinner is only offered a few times a month)

My vote..to start us off...is Crystal Palace.
I personally don't care if it's for bfast or Dinner....just not lunch

Yeah, let's go ahead and keep it seperated. That way if we want to let MK be excluded in the "1 official ADR per park" rule and have an ADR and a GG there. Make sense? You can let me know if you would still like to do a GG and I can put a yes in your particular column.

If we're including grand gatherings in the "regular" voting, my vote is for the GG breakfast at Tony's. Not b/c of the food but b/c of my childhood memories of breakfasts at Tony's. After a 15 yr Disney hiatus I was devastated to learn they no longer served breakfast when I went back in 2006.

If the GG events are separate, then I'm going to vote for Plaza (lunch or dinner).

I can't even begin to imagine how many pounds I'll gain at gnomefest. But I can't wait!!

Yes, you definitely have Pooh's very optimistic outlook on life!

The weekend was good overall. I think Blake was glad to get home and see everyone again. I felt miserable most of the time, but was still able to hang out with everyone. Blake went fishing with his brother on saturday and we went to Virginia Beach on friday. I definitely do not enjoy VA Beach as much as Ocean City or Myrtle Beach, just not my thing I guess. And it was still breezy on friday, but it was nice to get out. Hope you had a good one!

Grrr, why do I put myself through things I know going in will piss me off?

Last month the Iowa supreme court ruled in favor of allowing gay marriage. Yesterday was the first day that couples could go to the courthouses and apply for a license so of course this is all the news this week. I should say I support gay marriage but I also believe in giving respect to others who see things differently.

An aquantance of mine sent me an e-mail today with a link to the Des Moines newspaper website where you can vote if you are in favor or oppose the ruling. I suspected from the beginning that this acquantance is against the measure and this e-mail is going around groups of like-minded individuals. BUT I wanted to go and vote in the poll. Like many other polls, you can leave a comment if you wish on the blog.

OMG I cannot believe how hateful people are being!!! I only read a few comments but there were some terrible things written and terrible responses to them. People on both sides of the issue are saying some truly awful things. I know it's an open forum (and the opportunity to be anonymous as well) but come on people, a little respect please!!!

I don't understand how hateful people can be -- it makes me sad. DH's aunt was visiting from Vermont a couple of weekends ago and she was incensed. I tried my best to distance myself as soon as she started ranting.

Also, I just finished book 2 of Sookie..and my Book 1-7 series came yesterday! I'll be starting book 3 tonight
