So I was being indecisive as I headed out of France.
I still wasnt too hungry (probably due to the heat it always curbs my appetite) but I did want to check out a new counter service locale.
So I headed back around the World Showcase Lagoon for the
second time today passing France and Morocco.
I continued on until I saw the huge temple of Japan and headed into the back of the pavilion.
Here, hidden by the coi pond and the pagodas stands the lesser-known Yakitori House.
If not for the blue sign, you might mistake this location for a quaint Japanese house and not be sure whats in it.
Once inside, it still is very quaint, quiet, and usually not very crowded.
Its almost a hidden gem in it itself but theres more.
There is a small counter to get your food underneath another sign.
The rest of the room is filled with tables and chairs and I found it fairly empty when I was there.
In fact, there were only 4 tables being used for the entire time I was there.
And I took my time as it was nicely sheltered in the air conditioning and provided a break from the insane heat outside.
However, if it was a bit cooler, Id recommend the outdoor seating.
There, in a corner of Japan Ive honestly never even seen before is a little seating area lit by paper lanterns hanging from strings.
Its a beautiful little area and would be a perfect place to stop and unwind a bit from the long day.
I explored the area after I ate.
Not one of the tables were being used (probably partially due to the heat and partially due to the fact that no one knows this is here).
Heading back towards the pavilion entrance, the area turns from tables and chairs into a display of bonsai trees and waterfalls.
Yet another detail to enhance the peacefulness and tranquility of this pavilion.
So, with dinner working its way through my system, it was time to press on once again.
I continued my second circle around the World Showcase.
Any guesses as to what is on tap next?
You might think Im running out of things to do but dont worry theres plenty left!!
