"I oddly enough never had a Disney Red Velvet Cupcake before, but I loved them from everywhere else I ordered one. This one is MASSIVE, and oh boy was it truly a sweet treat."
"Stuffed with cream cheese icing on the inside too! The cake was soft and moist, but I had to leave the cupcake out at room temperature for a bit because the icing was ice cold and just too thick to bite through. It's so much better softened up."
"All that remains is a farewell breakfast at Kona, and one last snack at Captain Cook's before saying bon voyage to Disney."

Our last two updates from yesterday were both from Kim (Kimmy2Disney), the first of which was from the Polynesian's...
She said, "After breakfast we did some things in MK and when we got hungry we hopped on the monorail and headed to Captain Cook's at the Poly for lunch!

"DH had a Hawaiian flatbread that was just eh.. Ok..
"And my mom had the chicken noodle bowl that she really enjoyed!"

"This was another delicious theme park meal."
"I had the French onion soup...
House salad...
...and pommes frittes."
"So amazing! The pommes frittes were sprinkled with Parmesan cheese, herbs and some garlic I think and had a great dipping sauce."
"DH had the gumbo...
...and the Cajun chicken sandwich."
"The sandwich came with sweet potato waffle fries and a honey mustard aioli."
"Both kids got the macaroni and cheese."
"The kids meals here at Disneyland seem so much nicer and balanced than WDW. More attention to detail and they make the meals look so pretty!"
"And for dessert we shared the banana crepes and Mickey beignets."
"Both were heavenly. The beignets came with creme anglaise and a fruit compote."
"Overall, the food and ambiance were 5 stars. Service was fine, but our waiter was business like and not too friendly. Some of the runners were much more personable."
"For dinner we literally grabbed corn dogs from the corn dog cart on Main Street right before the parade at 7:00. No pics because my phone had died. But these corn dogs were HUGE and were plenty for us! Maybe we will get another one 'cause DH only had a bite of mine and wants a whole one for himself."

Then a little later Anne sent us an update from their lunch today at the Grand Californian hotel's...
She said, "My DD had a chicken Caesar salad...
...and the boys had hamburgers."
"I had chicken nachos."
"They were more like wonton strips. It was ok."
"Everyone else said their food was good."
"And for dessert, we had another Mickey cookie split between us."

"This place is a lot like Roaring Fork at Disney World's Wilderness Lodge."

He said, "It was sadly time to check out so that meant my final real sit down meal at Disney World."
"I'm the odd type who gets up at 5AM on vacation just to take in the atmosphere all to myself, and it was a bit depressing to leave the magical paradise of the Polynesian."
"Nothing better than having that beach to yourself early in the morning."
"Well let's get to the last Disney breakfast, back to the...
Kona Cafe
"My first breakfast here I had the Macadamia Nut Pancakes, I decided to switch things up and ordered the Big Kahuna with a glass of Lilikoi juice."
"The Big Kahuna consists of eggs your way, pancakes with pineapple sauce and macadamia nut butter, french toast, breakfast potatoes, ham, bacon, and sausage. Everything on here was great. I really enjoyed the breakfast potatoes, they had a nice crispy exterior and were seasoned well. If I had to pick the weakest thing on here it was the french toast, which to be honest I've never been a big fan of. This portion of pancakes was a lot more manageable compared to the regular order of the Macadamia Nut pancakes."
"All that remains is one quick lunch from Captain Cooks and that'll wrap up my Disney food experience."

Hi Everyone,
Signing in for duty Nov 12-20th, and so super excited!
This will be my 4th trip, DH 2nd, and DD (turning 2) 1st trip
We will be staying at ASMu, on the regular dining plan, and adding in some extra CS and TS. I will also being doing my very 1st trip report, and food report this time
There will be several pictures involved, and a rating system as well. Since my family is huge Stitch lovers he will be our 5 star rating. Mickey will be our 3 star rating, and Ursula as a 1 rating.
The restaurants we will be eating at are:
Nov 11th- Papa Johns (so not Disney)
Nov 12th-Airport/ Cooke's of Dublin (CS)
Nov 13th- BOG (CS) and Chef Mickeys
Nov 14th- Pizzafari Breakfast/ Yak and Yeti CS/ Turf Club

I'm loving Anne's updates from Disneyland! I love Cafe Orleans but its been a few years since I was there.
Also love the Big Thunder Ranch BBQ. I've had the chocolate Chip cookie bake dessert and it was fabulous. The Snikerdoodle one sounds awesome too!

As usual, this thread is the perfect place to check when I need a quick Dis fix! I'm taking a short study break, so I skimmed the last 10 pages and took some quick notes on the latest happenings:
-Bridgette's update from L'Artisan des Glaces made me smile - that place is easily one of my current WDW favorites.
-Glad to see Cali Grill serves their prawns with the heads on.
-The food at Citricos looks good, but the dessert menu is exactly the same as when we were last there (almost 2.5 years ago). Correction - they removed my favorite dessert (a tres leches cake with strawberries and balsamic), but nothing else has changed. For a signature restaurant, I think that's disappointing.
-Kimonos looks good! I've been seriously craving sushi this week, and that roll with yellowtail and jalapeño would seriously hit the spot. I hope we can try Kimonos on our next trip.
-Peter's pics are beautiful, but I still think the new GF building looks awful.

Man, this thread is just the best!! Snuggling on the couch with a blanket and my dogs on this rainy day looking at all these yummy pics and reviews....the only thing better is to actually be there!! Thanks to everyone that sends in these fab pics...and thanks to Barb for curating the whole thing! Job WELL DONE!!!!

Our First Update of the Day was sent to us this morning by Kim (Kimmy2Disney).
She said, "On Monday we had some Epcot attractions on FP+ so we did those and headed over to Food and Wine! The festival center already had some merchandise 1/2 off-- yay!"
"The cranberry bog, very cool!"
"In Hawaii we got a slider and the tuna poke...
"The slider was very good, tuna was just OK, nothing special!"
"Mmm Canada... Filet+mushrooms+truffle butter= awesome!"
"Round two for the potato leek waffle. This was even better than the first because we had to wait so it was hot and super fresh - very good!"
"Then Joe wanted to try the venison sausage in New Zealand...
"We thought it was very good, and well done with the arugula and berry drizzle!"
"Next was a booth we were all looking forward to...
"I tried the lobster roll, Joe and mom had the tail."
"We enjoyed them all but I thought the bun and sauce on the roll were delicious! Joe and I also had Sam Adams cherry wheats - one of my favorite beers!"
