She said, "We went to a Culinary Demonstration with John Hui from Pebble Beach Resorts."


















"He made a lemon olive oil cake with creme fraiche gelato and a balsamic reduction and marinated strawberries. We were also served Vinsanto Sangallo Fattoria del Cerro wine."





"Everything went together nicely. I will be making the cake at home. The wine was priced at $29.95 at Epcot for a bottle."

She said, "Last night we were undecided on where to eat so we pulled up the index on this thread and looked through all the great pictures to help us decide." :)


"We ended up at the Yacht Club's...




"We started out with drinks, Rob had...







"This drink was so strong!"


"I was thrilled to spot my favorite beer from F&W on their drink menu."






"I was actually craving this beer so I was thrilled to be able to have a couple glasses with dinner."



"Here I am with my beer and looking very nautical in my stripes." :laughing:





"We both got appetizers."





"I got the mussels and clams...



"These were delicious! The broth was incredible so I was happy to have the slice of focaccia to help soak it up."



"Rob had the fried rock shrimp...





"He loved these! It was a huge portion too. These could have been a meal on their own."



"Then it was on to the entrees...





"I went with the crab cakes...



"Delicious! All crab and barely any filler. They were so rich that I could only finish one."



"Rob went with the Chef's Pasta Creation...




"I forget the exact description from the waitress but the meat in there is short ribs. Rob was gushing about this dish! It was his favorite meal of the trip. He said to tell everyone they have to go to this restaurant." :thumbsup2



"He got most of his meal boxed up as well and I was so full but I really wanted to try dessert."





"I went with the hazelnut chocolate cake...




"This was good but I wish more of the hazelnut flavor came through. I wanted more of the salted caramel too."


"Overall this was an incredible meal and the best service of the trip so far! I was happy to get a walk-up easily here, so I hope it remains a hidden gem!"

"She enjoyed them both."

"On Tuesday we went to our first park that wasn't Epcot. I got going while Hunter was still sleeping and did a few things."




"Including one of my favorites Festival of the Lion King. While waiting for the show I took advantage of the high powered fan!"




"I also took a solo ride on Dinosaur."





"Then Hunter was on his way so we met up at the front. We were both hungry so I listed off the food choices as I hadn't made an ADR. (BBQ, would be having for dinner, Pizza, we had yesterday, burgers.. Nah, Chinese.. There we go!) so we headed to...





"I got in line to see if there were any openings while I told Hunter to check the bar. Just then 4 spots opened at the bar! Another couple took their seats at the same time we did so the bartender thought we were all together. Once that was cleared up we ordered some drinks. Hunter a Long Island and myself a Big Bamboo."

"My chicken was very good. Not too greasy and the crust was flavorful. Tanya enjoyed her pot roast also."

Then we received Kathy's (kanadar) final thoughts from their trip which ended last Sunday.


Kathy said, "My favorite appetizers were the Cobb Salad from Hollywood Brown Derby and the Scotch Egg from Rose and Crown. I really enjoyed the short rib entree from Sanaa. My favorite dessert was the Strawberry Champagne Cheesecake with Macerated Strawberries and Dark Chocolate Capers from HBD. I LOVED this dessert (it also had those passion fruit balls in it that are on the strawberry cupcake at Be Our Guest). My favorite F&W booth item was the potato and leek waffle from Belgium. Honorable mention would be the Bouef Bourguignon from France and the Lamb Meatball from New Zealand."

"Mary's favorites were the pork chop from Hollywood Brown Derby and the cobbler from Artist Point. Her favorite F&W offerings were the Pork Belly from Brazil and the Banoffee Tart at Scotland. Her honorable mentions were the Zapiekanki from Poland and the Kimchi Dog from China."

"My dad's favorites were the Spicy Durban Chicken and Short Ribs from Sanaa. His favorite F&W offerings were the griddled cheese from Greece, the pork belly from Brazil and the Zapiekanki from Poland."


"Jeff's favorite was the butter chicken and short ribs from Sanaa, for dessert he also liked the Strawberry Champagne Cheesecake and the Banana-White Chocolate Toffee Tower both from HBD. His favorite F&W offering was the ravioli, this was his favorite thing we ate the entire trip. His honorable mentions were the Banoffee Tart from Scotland, the potato and leek waffle from Belgium and the Bouef Bourguignon from France."

"And with that our report is complete! Sorry it took so long, catching up after being away is always difficult! But we had a great time! Jeff enjoyed it as well although I don't think he has fallen in love with Disney quite yet (I'll keep working on it though! ;)) Thanks so much for letting us participate!"

"I had this reservation booked for months, but it seemed to work out perfectly because it was Remy's last day. I am sad to see him go because he is my absolute favorite Disney/Pixar character and he is already represented so little in the parks."

"Good, but I miss the soft serve version they used to serve."



"This place is so pretty and has wonderful food that I don't understand why more people don't like it."

"I got the chicken alfredo."



"It's pretty much the same as the one Pop used to have and it's just as good. Breadstick was soft too."




"It comes with a salad."



"Fresh, but those onions on top made everything taste like onion. Ick."





"Brownie for dessert."




"This wasn't good at all. The icing almost tasted like mint and was hard. I eventually just flipped the brownie over and ate underneath."

"He really surprised me here by going for the scallop instead of the pork belly. I love that he has been trying so much seafood this trip! He loved the scallop and it was a bigger portion of food than I would have thought."

"This was okay. Somewhat forgettable. It had a surprising amount of spice, which I liked."





"Next Rob and I both stopped at...

"This looked and smelled so amazing the first time Rob had it and he was a big fan, so I was looking forward to trying it myself. I was so disappointed. I think my serving was off. There was barely any beef and it was all jalapenos and okra. Same for Rob. Not a hit for me."

"Love the little oranges and cranberries in line."





"Here I had the clam chowder...




"Now I know I love it! Lots of clams and potatoes in such a small portion."

"Love being able to get this on draft, since I can only get it bottled at home. We took our beers and enjoyed them during Survivor at the Eat to the Beat concert."
