No Disneyland Dining reservations May 22 - yet

Just woke up and tried to book a couple sit downs, Blue Bayou lunch and Big Thunder Ranch BBQ dinner and it shows no availability for sit down in DL. So I called and they told me they aren't releasing anything for booking until April 1.

That great, as I'm hoping the scedule will be out by then so I have an idea what time to book my meals arounds.

Weird... Is that just DLR? I was able to book River Belle Terrace Fantasmic! Dinner Dining Package this morning.

EDIT: I just re-checked and yes, everything in DLR is down EXCEPT the Fantasmic! Dinner packages at River Belle Terrace and Aladdin's Oasis.

I'm going to keep my River Belle reservation until Blue Bayou opens and hope that I can get one of those instead!

April 1 is an odd date...the operating calendar is usually released about 45-days in advance (although, right now, the calendar is showing hours through the next 40-days). Given that, then the hours for the 24-hour day should be posted on April 12th (or there about). I would keep checking and see if the website gets itself sorted out before the 1st.

My thought is that since the 24 hour event is special, they may release the schedule for just that day ahead of their normal schedule, and probably before the dates around it. I hope so. He told me they had staffed heavily for today because they expected to be inundated with calls wondering why they couldn't book for that day since it's 60 days out. But he was surprised they hadn't had nearly as many calls as they anticipated.

What about the Fantasmic dessert package? Has that been cancelled for this period of time or indefinitely? I was hoping to book it for that weekend...

The former Dessert package with actual chairs no longer exists. Once hungry bear reopens there is a dessert party there that comes with a reserved viewing area. There are also several dining package options.

Just got of the phone with Disney dining. I was able to Book Big Thunder Ranch BBQ. I asked about the other three table service and the CM told me that at this time, BB, Carnation Cafe, and Cafe Orleans are blocked out and only taking walk ups on that 24 hour day. She was told that may change when 2 to 3 weeks out but for now that is what is in play. When I called yesterday, they were expecting openings any day. The day before I was told by that evening or the next day. And the first time I called the morning it should have been there, I was told that it was likely not prior to April 1st for reservations. With the release of Big Thunder BBQ I think that may indicated they are truly only going to take walk ups for the other three table service spots. I guess it would make sense since that would allow them not to set hours until much closer to the event. Meanwhile I will still check daily online I think.
