I agree with the above poster, I always travel with my own small travel alarm clock. We set it on the night stand and it stays there the whole trip, it's small, foldable and easy to throw in a bag. I guess most people use their cell phones, I keep mine facedown on my nightstand, but I don't want to have to look at it at night unless it's an emergency. I do keep a clock in my bedroom at home, it's good to be able to glance at it and kmow the time, but on vacation if I need to take my own I can. As far as needing to unplug a light or clock in order to plug in my electronics I just take a power strip and it's got plenty of space to plug in a bunch of stuff.
