We have cash categories for all our stuff, replenished on pay day - and we are about at pay day, so I'll get more intense with posting our status next week. I run out for something almost every.single.day. so this is a stretch for me!

YAY! Hi Brook! Yeah I found this thread back when it was mentioned on a Podcast under forum watch back in the beginning of October. I haven't been here a long time, but it is good tool to use to help stay with in budget and be honest with yourself :). I find that I really question if I should buy things now. Even though I do still like to go out to eat...as I am already over budget for this month and I will definitely be going out to eat a few more times before the month is over...guess I will have to adjust the budget there for next month. So to me...it isn't really No Buy it is more like a tool to help you stay within the budget, by asking yourself do I really need this?

Glad to see a familiar face over here! I hope you stick around!

I like the idea of this - for just as you said, it helps keep me a bit accountable, and makes me stop before I buy.

I plan to stick around! I get grossly behind on my threads sometimes, but I'll at least lurk! :goodvibes

11/16-$28 Sams, $18 USPS, $8 HEB, $5 Jimmy John's, $2 Sams

Yesterday caught me by surprise. Suddenly, I had to pick up dessert for DS's Thanksgiving at preschool today (my first lunch at school with him:goodvibes), get a few things at Sams, and overnight my insurance check to the bank and then realize that DS is out of "white yogurt". All that and I didn't get to come home for lunch, then when I realized it was 2 hours past dinner, I did the hot dog combo at Sams. Either today or tomorrow, I'll have to do a big shopping trip cuz the cupboard is bare.

Welcome all the new people. I do this to help keep me from randomly spending money. Now when I am tempted to spend, I remember I will have to tell all my budget board folks about it! I do not include my rent and utilities in the budget as they are musts but everything else is covered.

Pure laziness and desire for a $0:thumbsup2 won out yesterday.:) Now, of course I have a ton to do. I've already spent $24 at Alice.com this morning and boy would I like to get to know her better!:lmao: Well see how this first order goes. I like the idea because I can do it in the middle of the night and really scrutinize my purchases.

But, my big budget happiness is that ALDI is coming to Texas!:dance3: I can't begin to tell you how much I miss them. They open next year in DFW, can the rest be far behind? Seriously, if they come to Houston, I will plan a trip over every couple of months, or plan it when I travel there for work. Come on baby! Momma's got a shiny quarter for her cart!

You're too funny, seriously they charge you 25 cents for a cart?:scared:

You put the quarter in the cart to get it free from the other carts. To get your quarter back, you have to take it back and hook it to the other carts. So, if you leave it in the parking lot, it'll cost you the quarter.;) Mostly, I am excited about detergent and trash bags and the like. Rock bottom cost and great quality.:goodvibes
