For us yes, always. That said, we just figure that they are one of our souvenirs and for $15 it isn't too expensive a souvenir. I am bummed that they aren't Resort specific anymore. I still use my Contemporary mug at least three times per week.

If you have a car and can park close to an All-Stars food court, you can get good use out of it. At breakfast, you can use the mug for your drink and take your QSDP bottled drink to the park. Going to a park, you can drink on the way to the parking lot. When you get back to the hotel, you can refill a drink to take with you to the room.

As with nearly every poll/debate, your mileage may vary. :)

No arguements here, we LOVE em!!:thumbsup2

I say worth is simply because I now drink coffee and tea out of that mug and everytime I sip, I get to remember our wonderful times at WDW. Definitely worth it!

We live in East Tennessee close to the mountains. If you need anything in planning your trip, let me know

Thanks! We are flying into Nashville the beginning of next month and your flooding is making me nervous! Hopefully, we won't have to change our plans.

I've always been a HUGE proponent of refillable mugs, but after dropping $70+ for five of them this time, I'm not so sure.

Yes, we stayed for ten nights (at Animal Kingdom Lodge) and refilled the mugs each night. However, we were also on the dining plan, and frequently had a late dinner at the Mara (the counter service restaurant attached to AKL). With the 20 ounce soft drinks that came with our meals, we ended up with a surplus of drinks for the trip.

They were still nice to have, but I'm not sure they were a MUST have this time.

It is worth it for us because we use them for coffee/tea in the mornings. My husband is up first, showers, dresses and goes to get coffee. While he's out he stops at the designated smoking area for his morning smoke. Comes back to the room and rousts me out of bed with coffee and my daughter with tea. Then after she and I are dressed, we usually have a counter service breakfast with another cup of coffee and then refill again to drink on the way to the park. Unless we are near our room, then we drink our third cup while walking back to the room to leave the mugs for the day.

I think it all depends on your family. If you're big soda/coffee drinkers, then definitely yes! But if not . . . then it's a judgment call. Also depends on how much eating you do at your resort, and how many days you're going to stay.

I never got a mug on my previous trips, prior to last fall. I'm mostly a water/milk/juice drinker (also drink some soda, but no coffee or tea) -- so it seemed like a waste to get a mug. But I when I calculated how much it would cost to get a few sodas during my 10-day trip, it made sense to get a mug. I was really glad I did - it saved me lots of money.

It is a bit of a pain, though. I was at POR with a room that was a fairly long distance to the dining hall. I had to either: 1) rinse out and carry the mug with me to the parks in my backpack, to avoid the hike to and from my room to drop it off after breakfast; or 2) take the long hike back to my room, drop off the mug, then hike back to the bus stop in the mornings (then go back and get it at the end of the day to get more soda!). With all the walking at the parks, it seemed easier just to rinse out the mug and put it in my backpack.

I voted yes. They came in very handy for us when we were down at the pool and we could run and get something to drink for the kids and yes we did do grocery delivery and had a 12 pack of soda in the room but we still loved the cups especially in the evening when my dh and I would make a little cocktail in them and take them to the beach to watch the fireworks :goodvibes We still use them daily now that we are at home, whether for a drink for the kids in the car or just around the house and we think of our great time in WDW.

I vote yes. Last summer we bought 2 mugs. Every morning I would make a coffee run, my wife would and I would drink our coffee while the girls were getting ready. Then we would get a refill on the was to the park. Then we would get a couple ice teas when we came back for our afternoon swim. we easily averaged 4-5 drinks per day. but I guess it depends on what hotel you stay at or if you are close to the CS.

I voted yes. We always stay at POFQ, and we either do a preferred room, or tell Disney which building we would like to stay in. We always choose a room within a reasonable walking distance of the food court. We use the mugs every morning (my parents get coffee, I still cant drink that stuff hahaha) and then also, my parents use the disposable cups Disney provides in your room for coffee every morning to dump that coffee into so they can take the cups on the bus, and throw them away when we are done. then we always fill them up at night. so for us it is very worth it since we use it twice a day at least.

If you intend to use them daily, absolutely. If you are only going to use them a few times, then you have an expensive cup. :)

It's not an expensive cup, actually. It's a great souvenir. I buy new ones every trip and use them every morning for a bit of pixie dust. :wizard:

I would say yes for us. They are refillable at the pool ~ and we do like to have them when we get home. I use one on work days to bring my coffee. :)

That said ~ I have about two dozen of them and WISH I could bring one back and pay a nominal fee to extend their usability ~ mostly because I will have to start throwing them away and it seems so wasteful.

I have to agree. Not a bad deal as far as Disney souvenirs go even if you only use it a few times while there.

I would say it depends. We are not big soda/coffee drinkers. If I knew that I could fill it with ice cold water I would def. buy them. We have many from past trips and we use them all the time at home so it is a good souvenir. As you can see I have not made up my mind if we are going to buy them on this trip or not.

I would say "yes" with qualifications. If you're only going for a day or two it's not as good a deal as if you'll be spending a week. Having said that, we bought mugs in 2007 and my son uses his to take his breakfast drink to school and lots of his classmates ooh and ahh over it. We've gotten 3 years of use out of them (and counting!;))
